GUYS! MAKE SURE YOU BUY A 4GB RAM model minimum I would highly suggest not to buy a 2GB RAM from personal experience!
Just got mine a couple of days ago and noticed I paid for the 4gb and the specs listed on the units screen show 2gb.
Does Sirius still work? I'm guessing no because there's probably no radio id
What factory protocol settings do you have it on? I’m working on a 2013 Ram 1500 sport that does not have HVAC mode control knobs. It could only be changed through the stock radio and it does not come up on this head unit. Stuck on defrost. Current protocol settings are on Jeep Renegade, ram is nowhere to be found.
I just figured out how to get mine, I went into the app that said car info and there was a icon that shows a fan blade and it brought up all my climate controls I’m just not sure how to get the icon on my main screen
Did you have to splice wires for the OEM backup camera to work? That’s the only option I haven’t been able to get to work other than the VR and Phone controls on the steering wheel
No back up camera works by connecting the yellow video cable in the package to factory harness. I can’t remember exactly, off hand, but the instruction manual for the set up only had like 6-8 steps. I believe it’s a usb 1, similar to the ps3 controller charger and that’s the power to the camera & a yellow one that provides the video to the unit.
@@Letsdoittv67 thank you for your help. I was able to get it to work. Apparently I missed a connection and had the video plugged in wrong connection as well
@@TexansRCdid you still have to splice into the oem camera for the signal to be read. I’m having trouble getting mine to work.
@@zippy9768no sir. There was another small wire harness in the box with a video connection I hadn’t plugged in. It plugged into the far right side of the head unit
@Letsdoittv67 is it possible to run my factory back up camera and use the provided camera ? I was gonna use it as a 2nd camera for the front of the truck.
Were any extra adapters or connections required to used your steering wheel capabilities like volume?
I don’t have steering wheel controls on my vehicle from factory. I’m not entirely sure. I watched videos before it seems fairly easy (except for the fact you have to remove airbag)

Can you mirror your phone to watch TV on road trips? or is there a way to watch video on the unit?
There is an app for it, however I could not get it to work. Theres some who have. I will let you know what it’s called and you can research on it a bit yourself.
An alternate option however, it supports Hulu Netflix Amazon prime etc, so if you can hotspot your phone to it that would definitely work. I do it for UA-cam.

I Noticed an improvement. It’s louder, however Bluetooth is less quality. CarPlay sounds better than the stock OEM radio though.
Does that unit have a slot for an aux cord ??
I’m not sure, I don’t think so basing off that I didn’t see an app for aux music. Just regular radio and Bluetooth.

Did you ever end up finding one? 09-12 is it’s own thing. I did see some before on Amazon when just scrolling that said they’d work on those years.
Do you have HVAC controls on the screen ??? Do they Work ?
No psychical knob only
You can get it to display the hvac settings but you can’t actually control them. It will display as you turn the physical knobs
How wired the backup camera?
Hooks up same as OEM
Can you MirrorLink? Your phone I have a different model.
No mirror link app typically doesn’t work, I’ve had 3 of these radio types. On both there are was an app either called car link or car connect and those worked.

You sure overpaid, could have bought it directly from AliExpress for less or with better specs for same $$$. It takes about 10 days from ordering to the door in Canada. Imho , 4GB/32GB is bare minimum. I got 8GB/128GB, dash cam, rear cam, GPS, built-in fan for same $$$ directly from Ali.
I’m completely ok with that just for the fact I get it next day without paying extra, and the amazing customer service of Amazon.
