Take a hint from the terrorists who stitch up bombs inside of their OWN people's dead bodies & stuff that cell phone inside my vulture-pecked guts & shove my corpse off this tower, cuz that's what besties are fooooooor!!!" just wanted to add a tiny correction, Hunter didn’t fall when trying to use her phone, she did actually make it safely back up after that. She fell when trying to grab the backpack that had landed on one of those “satellite” type dishes about 50 feet down. She made it down there but then when trying to come back up, that’s when she fell, landed on the dish, and bled out. Becky then pulled the backpack up the rest of the way and was alone for the third act of the film. :))
When Hunter says: you can't have the shoe..I'm not here...I'm down there. I bled out remember? That was oh my goodness! Wow. All this time talking to someone who is dead ...
I have watched several reviews, and while they were good (like this review), for some reason not one reviewer mentioned this scene with the reverence it deserves--I think it's one of the creepiest moments, genuinely chilling, in any film I've seen for a very long time. Extremely effective, haunting, and has stayed with me ever since.
What I learnt from this movie is, that sometimes your strength is your weakness….Hunter was too strong and fearless….and it led to her death. On the other hand…sometimes being paranoid helps you by observing more. You hear every noise. Nice movies…I highly recommend it.
@@jonathanchen1026 excuse me? How can you say that when it is the mans fault entirely? She did not wreck anything, she was single and he was married. Fucking hilarious comment.
You both nailed this review (and all of the anxiety with this film!)- Fall was way better than expected. My favorite moment was after Becky ate the vulture and climbs down to her friend, the second vulture sees her and sort of gives her a knowing wink, like you’re the predator now! Little touches like that made this movie a definite guilty pleasure!
I loved that part but for me it was more Becky looking at the vulture like try me, you saw what I did to your friend up there. The Vulture was like iight, iight... you got it, this catch is yours 🤣🤣
There were several moments watching this that I had to pause and deep breathe. One of those moments was after yellling at Hunter about that DAMN BACKPACK STRAP OMFG. Anyways, stellar review lol.
This film was made on a micro budget and used practical applications which I love! A very effective film without all the CGI, big money thrown at it and still created a very anxiety induced, and entertaining film. Kudos! Also that tower really exists in Walnut grove California.
There should have been someone they told what they were going to do....that someone could have altered the authorities when they didn't return as expected.
I agree. A 3rd person should've been at the bottom who would've been killed by the ladders crashing down. Wouldn't have been able to move out the way in time
It's basically The Descent but above ground instead of underground. Some women do something they used to do for thrills after one of them lost their husband. They get stuck. They find out the woman that talked the main character into doing said thrill slept with the dead husband. The main character makes it out while hallucinating that the woman that slept with her husband is alive when she's actually dead.
OMG that backpack was KILLING me lmao. I was like PUT IT ALL THE WAY ON 🤣 this movie had my anxiety so high but I couldn't stop watching. Some scenes I was like omg imma throw up lmfao. They did a great job making you feel like you were up there with Becky and Hunter. I was like I would be wrapped around that pole all day. When they got to the first landing, I was like Ok they are crazy but when Hunter wanted to keep going, I almost passed out 🤣🤣they had SO MANY signs to turn around... the truck almost killing them and the animal being eaten but nope they kept going. I think Becky's dad just really didn't like her husband and rightfully so. You can tell her husband wasn't very loving, having been sleeping with his wifes best friend for 4 whole months before marrying her. On top of that he couldn't even tell her he loved her, he would say 143 which is what led her to find out Hunter was sleeping with him because she tatted that on her foot. I was like ok so he couldn't tell his wife he loved her and couldn't tell his side chick either and she thought it was cute enough to tat it? 🤣I was like maaaan I'd be ready to toss her off that ledge myself if that was me but I wouldn't have wanted to be up there alone but once down it would have been on lmao. I mean she was ready to kill herself over his no good ass lol. It's funny tho how she was ready to take her life before climbing this tower but thought of nothing but living once stuck up there so that was a nice touch. Hunter was fearless tho... crazy af but definitely fearless. Oh and I knew Hunter was sleeping with Becky husband when she saw a pic of her smiling big af and saw only a man hand in the pic and asked her about who it was that was making her smile so big.... I was like Oooop your husband girl 🤣I really did enjoy the movie. It takes a lot to hold anyone's attention for that long with mainly two characters for most of the movie and they accomplished that. Kind of like that movie Frozen... not the cartoon. Definitely worth the watch if y'all haven't seen it.
Not gonna lie, my dumb ass didn’t make that connection until you said it. I watched the movie on my phone so I couldn’t tell it was a man hand. Makes complete sense now though.
Saw this movie this afternoon and it definitely preyed upon my fear of heights. My biggest takeaway was why they didn’t use the drone to fly the cell phone down and send their SOS message. Thought that was a pretty big plot blunder.
I just saw this movie this afternoon and I can’t believe nobody making the film thought it might look odd for Hunter, a professional climber, to scale this 2,000 foot tower in CHUCK TAYLORS!
Yeah, that thought occurred to me. Chuck Taylors don't have any grip. I wear Chuck's for everyday walking and there are instances where I slide all over the place.
I follow a guy on Instagram that climbs high bridges and buildings in vans. He’s literally climbed suspension bridge wires with snow on them in vans. Hunter going up a ladder in CTs is completely believable.
Another movie to add the genre of two women trapped in an uncomfortable dangerous situation where one has a secret most likely in a fair with the other person‘s boyfriend and or husband and one dies and then one starts to hallucinate the other and it’s a crazy survival story. Examples of this movie are 47 Meters Down, adrift, the descent, 12 feet, ect….
I thought there was gonna be after credits showing Becky letting go of the rope and killing Hunter herself out of anger from Hunter sleeping with her husband
I just watched it today, I was definitely on the edge on my seat, the anxiety this movie gave me was another level. Some stupid moves made but I forgave it once that reveal came. I will say there’s definitely some good life lessons in this movie.
It was good up until the end. How tf do they NOT show how she got down? That was the whole plot of the movie. It was a cheap cheesy ending to just show the rescue team with her on the ground. Like did they run out of budget or something? Wtf. It could've been so good.
Great review. Ultimately, it’s a simple highly effective survivor film that’s prone to nitpicks. My biggest gripe is that the main girl is constantly on her phone while up there for days and it never runs out of batteries. Another issue is that when they’re up there, the wind is sometimes inaudible and it just feels like they’re in a studio with lots of green screen. Shouldn’t they be constantly shouting? The film is still too long with far too much narrative padding and a storyline that goes nowhere Also, (spoilers) I swear to god I thought that the best friend killed the husband out of jealousy and was torturing the main lady by luring her out to this tower and waiting for the best opportunity to kill her, keeping her alive only out of necessity after things went south.
Why not attach the phone to the drone and lower it to the ground? Maybe bring more rope for a 2000 ft climb? Pulleys? Idiot character drives her drone through the street. Why, after pulling/climbing hunter 5 ft from the platform, would she transfer to the ladder around the pole? Why would Becky not just move the rope to hunter when she was reaching for it? Just gotta turn your brain off for this one
Oddly enough, I felt extremely scared/sucked into the movie during the "climb up" portion of the movie, and nothing after that really worked 10% as well.
I'm glad to hear this is fun! I was hoping it was gonna be more horror oriented like "Frozen" (2010), it looks more cheesy than that, but I'm looking forward to a fun time anyway (heights are like my biggest fear, as well as depths)
Yay another Frozen fan! I saw this last night and I enjoyed it and felt it was done well. Definitely was a good see on the big screen movie (despite the occasional bad CGI, for the most part it was actual filmed so the visuals are dizzying).
I agree with you both. This held my attention and was super tense, even if some was a bit ridiculous and unrealistic! I thought both of the actresses were decent (and better than I’d expect in this type of movie) too.
so basically 3 dummies go rock climbing, and one dies right away. THEN two of those dummies decide to climb an old ass tower without letting anybody know, and one of them dies lol
For a movie with about a $3 million budget, the CGI in this wasn’t too bad. I was worried at the start of the movie since the green screening was a little too obvious, but towards the middle of the movie, the CGI was the least of my worries. I was clenching my seat the whole time. Truly a great movie!
Safety tip: change you're voicemail before heading out to do stupid shit like this. I/we left on this day at this time, at this location. Will return your call when I/we get back. If I/we don't get back by this time/date call 911.
The fact that hunter is a professional rock climber and didn’t clip herself back into the carabiner drove me crazy after she asked Becky to pull her up
Love this review! I think what annoyed me the most was…… spoiler alert the Hunter twist was copied right out of 47 Metres Down (I mean not surprised it was done by the some producers) but I was like ah seriously this has been done before.
if they just wrapped their hands and feet using the rope to be able to fully wrap their hands around the pole and grasp it and just slide down the movie would've been finished in half an hour am i right?
Other than the dozens of times the characters are saying “friggen,” you’d never know this was PG-13, the film gets away with a decent amount of gore, but it’s never gratuitous (obviously).
Seriously, I saw two short previews for this in the last couple hours for the first time ever and I don't know if it's just because I am terrified of heights personally (or, as probably anyone who has this fear will tell you it's not exactly the heights that gets you it's the fear of falling from such heights and splatting like a freaking bug?) And all I can think- and the entire hour and 28 minutes afterwards leading me to this very moment in time is simply: "WHY in the hell would anyone DO this?!" So I figured I needed to go online and figure out like the synopsis, like maybe it was part of some sort of, I dunno, ULTIMATE Geo Cache or Amazing Race type of... Oh hell I don't know! That's the whole point I'm trying to make why would anyone do this for any reason like I get it they're trying to get over this chick's newfound fear of heights after her husband fell from a freaking mountain and died or whatever but why don't you go climb something that's NOT idiot nearly half mile tall tetanus riddled death trap with literally zero haha safety net of any kind I mean that like metaphorically of course though like as in no cell phone service no safety crew, no "oh shit something horrible happened and now we're going to die like plan B" here?! REALLY?! REALLLLLY?! mmmkay welp yes I guess so, this does REALLY sound like a great way to get over your fear... DYING. Fear✓
Yo you guys are my absolute favorite review channel and I'm excited when I see a movie reviewed by y'all! One thing I don't see discussed is Hunters spider tattoo on her forearm. I thought there was something to that because the dude in the beginning died because of that spider that popped out of nowhere which made him fall. When I saw hunters spider tattoo, I thought she somehow killed him on purpose, which wasn't the case. I really thought there was something behind the spider symbolism.
Thanks for the review guys! I thought overall the movie was very well acted and extremely tense. I was a wreck. I was a little let down at the ending. I wanted to see how first responders actually got her down off of the tower, but no such luck. But overall, a well executed movie.
Yeah, this movie had me enraptured. I wanted to see how Becky gets rescued. I imagined a helicopter rescue where the rescuer is connected to a rope with a retractor and then lowers himself to Becky and puts a harness on her. Then the crew in the helicopter could retract the rope and put Becky in the helicopter then the rescuer.
Nice review 🌟 I guess next they'll make a movie where two women get stuck in a highway tunnel as they already covered the bottom of the ocean and way up in the air. Now it's time to get stuck in the middle 👍🏾
I loved the movie. Everything is telegraphed and used. Nothing wasted, not even the truck. That's excellent writing. No deus ex machinas here. I was worried about the drone but we saw what happened with that. The movie always seemed to be one step ahead. Plus, I found it incredibly emotional. I shed tears more than once. Her final message to her dad really hit me.
Similar, as in, the exact opposite but exactly the same: desert vs ocean, 609m above the ground vs 47m underwater, and gravity is the shark. Still looks like a fun film!
I didn't "watch" this movie - I survived it. White knuckled it and sweat buckets the entire way. This film is not for the faint heart by any stretch of the imagination. Are there issues with the plot and characters? Maybe. But my anxiety overrode any such issues until well after the movie ended. BTW, they're planning on doing another one!
Lmao I too really liked the ending song even tho it's not my usual type of music. I think I was just too proud of Becky and wanted to sit in her triumphant anthem a lil idk
There's a video of the director explaining how they built the tower and where they put it. The actual tower exists but they built a smaller version of it on top of a hill.
Why is there no spokes or rungs upto the bulb on top, how was the light changed. When the ladder broke it should have stopped at the sat. dishes as they were not connected. You can see the ladder still there when hunter goes down for the backpack.
I just watched this movie yesterday. My feet and my palms were literally sweating the entire time!! So much anxiety watching this. I don't mind Rollercoasters but straight up and down rides? NOPE. Not for me. I was shaking when the camera would show the look down from that tower. No thanks lol. But it was a great film!!
7:24: I knew it…I knew it!! Was about to give this movie props for not using the cliché “I slept with your husband” trope…but, nope….Hollywood continues to be so basic, so stupid, so tired. It says a lot about the people making these films that they can’t have a movie where friends don’t sleep with friends’ spouses.
Yes! Waiting! Guessing this could "fall" flat *if* same event is told from different perspectives? :D Should anyone with acrophobia *and* vertigo combined be cautioned beforehand? Nice, Podcast #68 - Bette Davis was *the star* of that movie too - the daughter and husband were sub-plots! LOL!
*I know it’s a movie, but the entire time I couldn’t help but think two things. ONE; these women are ultimate clout chasing maniacs. TWO; they didn’t see how raggedy and old the ladder on the tower was?
this movie is such a BLAST! it gripped me hard from the opening scene & never let go. throughout, i was holding my breath, screaming & shouting, grabbing at my face, clawing through my hair, holding my knees to my chest... i even got emotional at times! this movie is such a thrilling & suspenseful ride & the tension never lets up. i can’t recommend it enough! 💯
i really did! 🤣 my buddy that went with me was affected the same way, he was just as jumpy & freaked out. it really sucked us in. maybe you just weren’t as into it?
another 2 things: great battery in iphones and why they didnt use the drone for the first message instead of a shoe?. ohhh and how she had the app of the drone in her phone in the note message?
Just finished it... Survival of the fittest for frfr I was wondering where they were taking it but it made sense at the end how they tied it all together pretty entertaining to say the least. Who wrote this?? Lol
at 5:40 I had the idea of typing a message asking for help but then since I don't have signal, just drop it right after I hit send and hopefully the message sends before impact EDIT: After watching for another minute I see that was the plan but she could have spared her friend's body 😭

I was worried at the start of the movie since the green screening was a little too obvious, but towards the middle of the movie, the CGI was the least of my worries. I was clenching my seat the whole time. Truly a great movie!
It was a real tower and the girls did their own stunts
Great review guys! Really enjoyed it!
Safety tip: change you're voicemail before heading out to do stupid shit like this. I/we left on this day at this time, at this location. Will return your call when I/we get back. If I/we don't get back by this time/date call 911.
How about just telling someone in the first place?
Maybe don't do the thing instead 😂
The fact that hunter is a professional rock climber and didn’t clip herself back into the carabiner drove me crazy after she asked Becky to pull her up
Love this review!
I think what annoyed me the most was…… spoiler alert the Hunter twist was copied right out of 47 Metres Down (I mean not surprised it was done by the some producers) but I was like ah seriously this has been done before.
Dammit, now you spoiled 47 Meters for me 😭
Guess no point in watching that movie now.
Excellent review! I kinda wish this would be in IMAX then if height is portrayed really well. I'll definitely check it out!
if they just wrapped their hands and feet using the rope to be able to fully wrap their hands around the pole and grasp it and just slide down the movie would've been finished in half an hour am i right?
I’ve never seen your videos before this one but you two are amazing 😂😍 “what’s it called?…gold.” Ahahah
How graphic was the shoe part with hunters body? I'm curious to see the lengths they went to for this film being that it's pg13
You don’t see too much blood it just kinda slides in there
Other than the dozens of times the characters are saying “friggen,” you’d never know this was PG-13, the film gets away with a decent amount of gore, but it’s never gratuitous (obviously).
Seriously, I saw two short previews for this in the last couple hours for the first time ever and I don't know if it's just because I am terrified of heights personally (or, as probably anyone who has this fear will tell you it's not exactly the heights that gets you it's the fear of falling from such heights and splatting like a freaking bug?)
And all I can think- and the entire hour and 28 minutes afterwards leading me to this very moment in time is simply:
"WHY in the hell would anyone DO this?!"
So I figured I needed to go online and figure out like the synopsis, like maybe it was part of some sort of, I dunno, ULTIMATE Geo Cache or Amazing Race type of...
DYING.
Fear✓
Lols 😂! Please don't laugh at the famous quote, "if you are afraid to die, then don't be afraid to live." I only saw the trailer, but it touched me 😂.
If they bring the parachute they both still be alive
Yo you guys are my absolute favorite review channel and I'm excited when I see a movie reviewed by y'all!
One thing I don't see discussed is Hunters spider tattoo on her forearm. I thought there was something to that because the dude in the beginning died because of that spider that popped out of nowhere which made him fall. When I saw hunters spider tattoo, I thought she somehow killed him on purpose, which wasn't the case. I really thought there was something behind the spider symbolism.
Great review of a great movie with great visuals. But the ending was so rushed. What a pity.
Thanks for the review saw this one tonight and it did have some great tension filled moments
I am scared to death of heights , so I have zero interest in this.
But I enjoyed watching your review.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the review guys! I thought overall the movie was very well acted and extremely tense. I was a wreck. I was a little let down at the ending. I wanted to see how first responders actually got her down off of the tower, but no such luck. But overall, a well executed movie.
This movie was awesome but the ending was terrible - like WTF- no catharsis? They didn’t show her getting rescued???? After all of that build up????
Yeah, this movie had me enraptured. I wanted to see how Becky gets rescued. I imagined a helicopter rescue where the rescuer is connected to a rope with a retractor and then lowers himself to Becky and puts a harness on her. Then the crew in the helicopter could retract the rope and put Becky in the helicopter then the rescuer.
Nice review 🌟 I guess next they'll make a movie where two women get stuck in a highway tunnel as they already covered the bottom of the ocean and way up in the air. Now it's time to get stuck in the middle 👍🏾
Well we did have that movie but it was starring Sylvester Stallone.
@@pamelalansbury94 Indeed, I meant by the same creators of this movie(Fall) and 47 Meters Down.
I WAS THINKING TOO WHY HUNTER DIDN'T CATCH THE BAG,,,,,, and i know why
The dad seemed to have a pretty good grip on his daughters husband. He was a cheater after all and the dad probably had a suspicion or something.
I'm one of those people that can't get close to the edge of heights because I feel like I'm gonna accidentally fall over.
"Uninvited" by Alanis Morrisett is ICONIC🤩🤩🤩🤩
I loved the movie. Everything is telegraphed and used. Nothing wasted, not even the truck. That's excellent writing. No deus ex machinas here. I was worried about the drone but we saw what happened with that. The movie always seemed to be one step ahead. Plus, I found it incredibly emotional. I shed tears more than once. Her final message to her dad really hit me.
Mason Gooding is Cuba Gooding Jr’s son😎
when they attached the note to the drone, they should have just attached one of their phone and landed it so the text could have gone through
IT CAN'T FIT ON DRONE AND, THE DRONE WILL NOT FLY WHEN THE CONTROLLER DON'T HAVE PHONE THAT ATTACH INTO IT.
@@janranieldelacruz4547 they had two phones they could have used the rope or a shoe lace or something to attach the second phone
Becky's husband, played by Mason Gooding looks like that guy in Jerry Maguire. 😂😂😂
Fall- I wish they showed how was the recue
A helicopter picked her up i believe
Similar, as in, the exact opposite but exactly the same: desert vs ocean, 609m above the ground vs 47m underwater, and gravity is the shark. Still looks like a fun film!
Thank you I was thinking this the wholeeee time I watched it😄
the plot twist is exactly 47 meters down
I didn't "watch" this movie - I survived it. White knuckled it and sweat buckets the entire way. This film is not for the faint heart by any stretch of the imagination. Are there issues with the plot and characters? Maybe. But my anxiety overrode any such issues until well after the movie ended. BTW, they're planning on doing another one!
I got sick in the stomach while watching it in the cinema, sweaty not only the palms of hands but also the feet.
Lmao I too really liked the ending song even tho it's not my usual type of music. I think I was just too proud of Becky and wanted to sit in her triumphant anthem a lil idk
I know that they used special effects but I was wondering if the tower really exists.
Becky played a young Jennifer love hewitt in ghost whisperer
How did she get the backpack up to Becky if she supposedly died instantly from the fall ?
Will u guys do review of don’t worry darling about harry styles in it and my policeman when come out soon ?
I’m sure we will.
Recently discovered you guys and absolutely love your channel! 🤌🤌
What cell phone battery lasting that long? Lol
This was so enjoyable. I'm glad I saw it.
Yes! LOL!
Yes, it made me nauseous and i was sweating the entire time. But good movie!
*I know it’s a movie, but the entire time I couldn’t help but think two things. ONE; these women are ultimate clout chasing maniacs. TWO; they didn’t see how raggedy and old the ladder on the tower was?
There was a picture on Hunter phone with a man hand on her shoulder, think it was Mr.143
There is no way they could sleep on that thing without falling off!😅
this movie is such a BLAST! it gripped me hard from the opening scene & never let go. throughout, i was holding my breath, screaming & shouting, grabbing at my face, clawing through my hair, holding my knees to my chest... i even got emotional at times! this movie is such a thrilling & suspenseful ride & the tension never lets up. i can’t recommend it enough! 💯
Did you really do all of that 😑😑.. I do get that it's thrilling but not to that extent lady
i really did! 🤣 my buddy that went with me was affected the same way, he was just as jumpy & freaked out. it really sucked us in. maybe you just weren’t as into it?
Stuffing the shoe in the dead body to cushion impact..Navy Seal maneuver.
another 2 things: great battery in iphones and why they didnt use the drone for the first message instead of a shoe?. ohhh and how she had the app of the drone in her phone in the note message?
I have a deep fear of heights too!!!
Just finished it... Survival of the fittest for frfr I was wondering where they were taking it but it made sense at the end how they tied it all together pretty entertaining to say the least. Who wrote this?? Lol
This was more scary than any movie in its own way give me sewer clowns and killer dolls any day
at 5:40 I had the idea of typing a message asking for help but then since I don't have signal, just drop it right after I hit send and hopefully the message sends before impact
EDIT: After watching for another minute I see that was the plan but she could have spared her friend's body 😭
So did they try the phone attached to the drone?
No!
