On the m5 f90 launch control doesn't activate the car has to get over a certain amount of miles for it to be active because BMW doesn't want the car to be abused brand new.
Launch control on this M5 put the gearbox in manual, shift the gear to 1, set the gear change ratio to max (fastest shift), put the esc off, (press once you’ll see the sign on the screen) press again and hold it till the dash says DSC Inactive. have the foot pressing the brake paddle and tap the accelerator once so that you see the sign on dash saying launch control active with that flag sign then press accelerator to set the revs to launch. This should work.

Sorry bad grammar my house mates m3 runs 10.7 with full exhaust intakes tune and e85, his brothers m5 did 10.8 stock and now has down pipes intake tune and methanol injection should do a 9.xx it went 10.1 without meth
Tell your editor to stop instantly cutting away as soon as the time flashes on the boards. We only get enough time to see the time and not the speed. Which is annoying as hell.
We had completed the run in service, but it seems the car wasn't quite ready to let us use launch control, shame as we probably would have cut a few tenths off our time.

I remember both my M4s activating L/C around 100 miles or so after their 1200 mile service. They just seemed to switch on themselves, which was a bit weird ?. I couldnt get it to activate straight away, but kept checking, and there it was. Never actually used it, but im sure the M5 L/C will be awesome, with the X Drive.

I love how with M xDrive, you don't even need to bother using Launch Control, it has so much traction.
Yeah has so much traction. I think LC would have improved that time a little.
The car is capable of 3.1s to 60 so your car can go quicker :)
LC takes ADVANTAGE of the 4WD though :)

Jack O tune only , but now it’s got tune down pipes and 100 octane and water meth should go 9s
@@TURBOTRISTO I have seen many M4s on UA-cam running mid 11s with a tune, never 10.7 with a tune only.

It was pretty much brand new at the time, Santa Pod put a huge amount of investment in replacing their entire strip with a new concrete one.

How reliable are those cars especially with jus a ecu tune? Did bmw work out most of the kinks from the 4.4l

If your ECU is locked it needs to be sent away to be unlocked, we can then tune remotely.
Not a lot of E34s at this show. Some really nice E28s though .

Charlotte Hutchinson hadn't done an extra 100 miles so maybe that's what prevented it from working . Will try again soon.
