    Anyway to detox flea medication from my puppy’s system? He had a reaction to simparica :( I only gave it to him because so many people including my vet convinced me to give it to him. He started having the reaction 12 hours after ingestion. He started sleeping way too much and some muscle spasm and I was suspicious from it so I called my vet and took him in right away. They told me he had a reaction from it and they gave him an IV to help flush out most of it from his body but they still said I have to wait for the 30 days for it to wear off. Just looking around for a detox method that could maybe help for that.

    Katie what can I immediately do right now? My cats have been vomiting white foam for 2 days now. I fear poison.. They have never been sick. It started during the night with Male kitten he woke me up. But he hasn't vomited since. Then morning Female kitten started and she hasn't stopped. She's my bottomless pit she never not eats

    Ok, so I have a question for you. in this episode you stated that a poor gut health or leaky gut, could be attributed to separation anxiety? How do you make the correlation between the two?

    • @thenaturalpetdoctor
      @thenaturalpetdoctor  3 роки тому +3

      The gut-brain axis. There is a strong connection. Separation anxiety is multi-factorial but if the microbiome is in a state of dysbiosis (bad bacteria outnumbering good), it increases symptoms like anxiety and behavior issues. So if people are having a hard time with behavioral desensitization techniques, they also need to be addressing gut health due to the impact on the vagus nerve directly leading to brain and behavior changes.

    Sammy is sensitive to any little sound a click or crack from the fire etc. he runs from the room. Maybe I heard wrong but I think you said something like that could be leaky gut. 😀

      Gut health and toxins in the body can definitely play a part in pets being sensitive or overreactive. I didn't find this video very informative. Way to general. In fact the most vets are way too general and too clinical. I think because they're afraid of the medical establishment. The one video that was packed with efficacious info AND product details was "the best detox for dogs" by dan scott. I have no business affiliation with him I'm just a dog parent.

      If it was my cat, I'd get the liquid version of activated charcoal (or open up the gel caps and mix with purified water), put it into one of those medicine syringes, put on some Heavy Duty gloves, have a friend help me keep the kitty calm and squirt it in their mouth.
      But that's just me, I'm not a veterinarian.
