Marlene comes back later. Turns out they never took out the Palm Springs trip Mike hit when they had the board technical difficulty. (You can notice the awkward edit when he hits it at 13:01. It's likely that the board advanced the slides after he stopped like he had in the previous spin at 12:49.) Meaning, in theory, he knew the value of the trip he already had wouldn't be enough so he choose the other trip. (Although I'm sure anyone would know to pick the Med. Cruise over a trip to California!)
@@cinemaholic730 A difference of how one game makes. Marlene didn't have any whammies in her first appearance, then got three in her upcoming appearance.
Some additional background for that: I wonder if the bottom row Game Table was originally up there, then the board swapped slides and that caused the awkward edit? They might have also re-shot something in there. What I'm referring to is, yesterday the game ended with both Game Tables on the board (not the first time that's happened), and notice how we don't see the one on the bottom row in this game? I'm thinking it's likely they intended to swap out the bottom table so that they wouldn't have two of the same prize on the board (albeit with different values) to start Round 2 here - but, very obviously, something went wrong here.
Marlene was one of my favorite contestants when I was a kid
17:34 - The heartbreak from defeat right there
Yeah at the last spin in which the guy was forced to take he picked the prize that was worth more than enough to win the game

+crispinh1 Anyone would have picked the Med Cruise over just about ANY other prize up there!
Mike had REALLY made the right choice of picking that Mediterranean Cruise because that was the most expensive prize of all.
Glad they brought her back I wanted her to win. She was a lot of fun.

12:54 they really did that😂😂😂
I'm so glad Mike won, I HATE that rooster call which Marlene did way too many times.
14:35 Muscle-flexing Whammy performs a deadlift.
Airdate: March 8th 1985
If I ever appear on this show with Elizabeth Banks, I am going to bring back the triple-crown of prizes (Car, African Safari, Mediterranean Cruise).
I want to see Marlene do that rooster thing if she wins the car.
Marlene was on Triple Threat in 1988 but did not win playing with John Sebastian and his son.
Good edit at 5:48.
I hated that Cram game.
