Within one month of launching our campaign, the Kim Wall Memorial Fund has received more than 80,000 dollars from over a thousand individuals, many of them strangers. We have been overwhelmed, amazed and inspired by your generosity. We are so utterly grateful.
Kim was an extraordinary friend, daughter, colleague. As a journalist, her work reflected her own sensibility-a resolutely post-colonialist and feminist outlook that shook up clichés and Western-centric narratives about development and empowerment. We will honor her legacy by supporting the kind of work she would have done.
“As a small child, she was very determined in everything she did,” Kim’s mother Ingrid Wall said. Before Kim turned one, she had traveled to most European countries, and had followed her parents, both of whom are journalists, on assignments on countless reporting trips. This, her mother thought, might disincline her from being drawn to what she calls the best profession. But growing up in a household that was organized around storytelling, it was natural that Kim would grow up to be a storyteller of the highest caliber.
Today, we are writing with a message from the Wall family.
We are close to the finish line, and hope that with your support, we will achieve our goal.

Sad shocking case. I feel so sorry about her family and close ones... nobody deserves to die like this! Just in the hands of a monstrous man. I hope justice is served! Praying for the family, specially her parents.

She died by an accidental hatch closing, so fair to say by happenstance. How else was she going to die? In a bed fool age??? She was a 'journalist', and I use that word loosely. Journalism can be a dangerous occupation as they die on the field all the time I.e getting shot, getting beheaded, die chasing a tornado... there are journalists in Mexico, the Middle East, and other hot-zones that deserve far more accolades eulogies than this girl who actually became a news story unlike the rest who have had no voice outside their respective localities.
Btw, justice will be served as Peter Madsen shall be only charged on manslaughter and then be hoisted on to the shoulders of his fans and cheered on upon his release, so pray all you like to your imaginary deity you stone thrower!
Madsen, is that you? You are going down buddy, and you are going down hard!
I can't believe this happended in our country .. Journalists are the bravest people out there, charting the lands for stories, gossips and nessisary news .. who would have thought her most and last dangerious trip would be at sea in the peaceful danish land..
My heart goes out to the family, and i hope whatever happens to madsen is something we can use to prevent any future incidents. That is my wish.
People like madsen ads a little guilt of being danish, but i think the empathy i feel is served justice, we should feel bad of who we are, else we wont have the courage to change.

Who is this and what did she do?
I think she was a swedish journalist who was killed by a danish man in his submarine. She was later found departed in the ocean with stabwounds on her upper and lower body.

She was a swedish journalist who was brutally murdered (probably raped not sure) by a Danish maniac named Peter Madsen. She was interviewing him because he had built a submarine and while being inside the submarine he stabbed her multiple times in her stomach and personal areas. Then he cut of her head arms and legs and dumped her body in the ocean. Then he sank his submarine to erase all evidence. The idiot however didn't consider the fact that people knew about Kim wall being with him so he was quickly caught. He has then lied multiple times to save his ass but the evidence against him will get him convicted of 1st degree murderer.

What a precious, lovely soul she was. Haven't met her but I feel like we all lost her.
This 4 min documentary on Kim's life is 100 times more valuable than Netflix's documentary on her sadistic ego-centrical killer which reduced Kim to a couple of snapshots and made no other mention of her. I'd much rather learn about Kim, her accomplishments and aspirations than see another documentary about a pathological liar so-called "genius".

what an amazing video - i've only just started reading into this event and it's so plain and clear to see Kim was a good soul...who somehow ended up surrounded in darkness...i just can't imagine what she went through in her last hours on that submarine...my mind keeps telling me that she knew something she shouldn't have known...but seeing her family and listening to her mother talk of her...my heart aches for them...what a terrible loss...and so undeserved...my love goes out to them x

I just found this video accidentally and started reading about Kim and found out that just today that monster tried to escape the prison (because of the lockdown I was confused for a second because I was sure it's still the 19th and there was information that it happened on the 20th Oct.).

You obviously raised an amazing person. Thank you for sharing her with the world. Im so sorry someone else saw it fit that she be silenced. Well, the judge spoke today and did not agree with him on that decision. Thankfully, he won't ever be able to make that decision again. Life, without ever getting out. May your memories of her continue to spread far and wide! (Im out in the Untied States, In New England, and saw her story on Twitter and had to know about Kim. An amazing Lady!)
