    Many people with crooked teeth are embarrassed about smiling. Even though I had relatively straight teeth for most of my teenage years and early adulthood, overtime the lack of space for my wisdom teeth slowly moved my teeth crooked.
    I bit the bullet, and decided to try clear aligner therapy, and I am so glad I did.
    Clear aligner therapy is an alternative to braces. A series of special aligners are made for your teeth that you wear 23 hours a day. You take them out just for eating and drinking, which is one of the reasons why they are really great and versatile.

    The trays are called aligners not retainers. Retainers are used at the end of aligner treatment. Thanks for sharing

I am on the second series of trays, with this series being 23 trays. My first series was 32 trays. I am almost through, I hope, although one of my canines still needs to move a bit.

      @patclaus8510 Рік тому +1

      It’s not that bad, really. Just use your chewies to set your trays firmly in place and after that your teeth will have moved. Then drink some ice water and take an aspirin or Motrin, etc. And it’s really only that first tray that’s uncomfortable in my experience.

    • @CR-xn5cz
      @CR-xn5cz 29 днів тому

      My son had one put in after braces. After two years we had it removed and instead had retainers (2 sets) made for lower and upper teeth. It’s easier to floss without the bonded retainer wire on his lower teeth. Bentist on youtube channel does not recommend because they can fail and you not notice snd then teeth shift.

    Did you have much pain the first few days in the beginning

    • @patclaus8510
      @patclaus8510 Рік тому

      The first two days can be fairly uncomfortable. After that your teeth really calm down. Be sure to use your Chewies to seat your trays correctly and to make your teeth move into their new positions. Use them every time you reinsert your trays. This will speed the process along. You can drink ice water too- that seems to ease the discomfort.

      Depends on how much work they have to do. I had an edge to edge bite and a TON of spacing, most of my teeth weren't touching and my front gap was moving further apart. I had 2 sets of rubber bands to start. They had to do a frenectomy, laser the skin attaching my lip to my gums causing the front gap. My treatment is estimated to last 2 years. I still have bonding to do on a couple of front teeth that are smaller than asthetically pleasing. It all came out to 6500 usd.
