    Hi Dr Passamano, I am 79 years old. I chose to get INVISALIGN, having never worn braces to correct a crooked gap since childhood, now getting wider. Two dentists told me I was too old for braces of any kind. I am am proud to say, I now have a dentist who is as excited for me as I am. Now in my fifth week, I am sharing your video with Dr Moazami because,your presenation is the best, better than the many I've seen. I thank you for crossing every T and dotting every i and making all understandable. I don't have to call her as often, lol. God Bless

    I’m almost done with my treatment I’m down to 12 hours a day instead of 22.
    These instructions are absolutely correct. WEAR YOUR TRAYS AND FOLLOW YOUR DRS INSTRUCTIONS ON WHEN TO SWITCH THEM OUT!!! The pul pick tool to remove Invisalign is a godsend. I got several from Amazon for under $10. I soak mine in the crystals every other day to keep them clean and remove any grime. The hardest part of Invisalign is switching trays and teeth soreness as your teeth are moving as you move between trays … otherwise your teeth will be straight and beautiful of u follow directions accordingly

    Thank you for posting this excellent video. The tips really help me. I'm just starting my own Invisalign journey. I'm going to switch toothpastes and get a case with a mirror, and also get the Pul sticks. I am a deaf individual and watching your video with captions turned on has helped me understand how to work with the Invisalign trays. I greatly appreciate your taking the time to create and post this video.

      I get that comment sometimes when patients are not removing the trays correctly. If you are pulling UP / DOWN (vertical), then it will feel like you are pulling your teeth out of your face. I do teach my patients to do a lateral rolling motion so the trays can disengage from the attachments for less pressure on the teeth.

    what if my 1st set of aligners don't fit because of teeth movement because of tooth extraction, does invisalign charge extra for new scan or new set of trays ?

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  5 місяців тому +2

      Great question! If there is a tooth extraction needed, then it's best to start your Invisalign within 1-2 weeks before the adjacent teeth can start moving. However, if you need a new set of trays, then your doctor can submit a warranty to get trays that fit well. In my office, I do not charge for this.

    Hi Dr great tips. Question how do I heal the white cheek marks I get when I punch my cheek when inserting liners? Will the cheek marks go away when I finish treatment? I’m on week 28 of my trays. Any advice on how to heal the white cheek lines or prevent them?

    • @TiaNT16
      @TiaNT16 3 місяці тому +1

      Hi Chandra, I have pinched my cheeks when I’m putting my tray in. To avoid this, I place a finger between my cheeks and the tray while I’m placing them in. It has really cut down on those painful pinching😬

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  3 місяці тому +1

      Interesting question ... I'm not aware of my patients getting a cheek irritation when inserting the Invisalign trays. It sounds like you need to use another finger to pull your cheeks off your teeth to avoid this. If the question is about the white horizontal line on the buccal cheeks that is adjacent to your teeth's biting surface, then that's called the 'linea alba' and caused by the friction/biting of your teeth. It's very common and sometimes goes away on it's own when the bite improves. Hope that helps!!!

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  3 місяці тому +1

      Hopefully an improvement in your alignment of teeth and bite would help the linea alba go away. You can also brush your cheeks too!

      @@drpassamano Thank you for your response. Yes, I was referring to linea alba. I didn’t have this prior to starting the Invisalign treatment. One side has cleared up with the tip you suggested with using my fingers to protect my check. I will try brushing cheek on other side.

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  3 місяці тому

      Good question. The tooth soreness is dependent on pressure on teeth, so it will depend if your doctor programmed movement on some teeth or has delayed movement. It's very case specific, but I'm sure you will feel something soon. Good luck!

    My teeth hurt pretty bad with every new tray is this normal?

    • @r19888
      @r19888 7 місяців тому

      Yes. Take strong painkillers for the first few days of new trats. Your teeth are getting used to new trays again each time

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  6 місяців тому

      Great question! Orthodontic tooth soreness occurs the most at the beginning of treatment when teeth are being moved for the very first time. As you progress through the treatment, then the teeth are much less sore because the mouth is used to teeth moving. If you are experiencing a lot of pain with each tray, then definitely contact your orthodontist to make sure it's normal. Hope that helps!

      @drpassamano  Місяць тому +1

      Great question! Invisalign can be used for a variety of dental and potentially skeletal movements based on the treatment plan you have. For your specific question, you would need to see an orthodontist to determine what's practical and what's not. Good luck!

    I have a question:
    Im from Bangladesh and here for treatment of bimaxillary protrusion,
    almost every orthodontist extracts 4 premolars.
    but one of the orthodontist said
    he can fix my class 1 malocclusion only with clear alligners without ipr or any other way to expand my arch.
    Is it possible to do so? or is he trying to scam me??

    • @drpassamano
      @drpassamano  5 місяців тому

      Interesting! I would go with an orthodontist that you trust with a proven track record. You will find that some doctors will push Invisalign because they are being pushed by Corporations (Invisalign). Make sure you find an honest and ethical doctor. Continue on your quest to get another opinion because the more educated you are, the better decision you will make for your treatment. Good luck!!!!!
