  • A cracking session on the Pollack, Ling and Congers!! Fishing on my own boat out of Falmouth. Collecting fresh mackerel bait and finding a surprise Bonito. Then having a few drifts picking up some fine specimens before dropping anchor to see what the wrecks were hiding! It was a great day with some fantastic fish.

    Hi John, another suspense filled 50 minuets! I was sat willing that last conger onto your hook so I'm glad he made it onto the boat. Your relaxed attitude, when talking to camera, always gives the feeling that you are talking directly to someone on the boat and not to an inanimate object. Your little hints and tips blend into the dialogue so naturally yet manage to inform without any sign of patronisation. I have no doubt the raw footage takes a lot of time and effort to convert into what we see, but, although I can only speak for myself, your efforts are very much appreciated. I like the clean, honest and uncluttered approach you bring to the screen. The one thing I cannot understand is why you have so few subscribers. Maybe that's a good thing in a way, as we get to see quality not quantity!!

      Tim Grenville-Cleave - Thankyou very much for the fantastic positive feedback. I have always tried to talk to the camera as if it is just another person on the boat. It was difficult to do at first but I am very glad to hear that is how it comes across. Hopefully I’ll have some more good vids up soon. 👍🏻🎣 Thanks again mate.

    I agree with Tim Grenville-Cleave, yours is a relaxed, natural presentation style that manages to inform enthusiastically without dumbing down or patronising the viewer - and that's a rare ability. Thanks for your efforts, they're appreciated here too. You're a fisherman's fisherman Mr FL. And at 37:20 you're a lucky one too - loved that!

    We could do with a few more accessible wrecks round here. The last one I fished was years ago, it was miles away in about 300ft. It had so many Ling, cod conger, mackerel, tope & other species . I managed a PB cod of 30lb. It was an awesome days fishing.

I watched ur video's for the first time the other day and it beats what's on the TV hands down ..! Would you consider doing some home videos on how to use fish finders" and trace making ? Also explain the rods, reels, lines and tackle that ur using. My son's are into fishing and they have the use of my boat. I'am sure they will learn something from you. Ps My kids have flown the nest." but I will recommend ur vid's to them as their into sea fishing too. Ur video's are brilliant, just keep them coming mate. Matt

    man, you have such a rich life, been dying to catch a pollack or cod. Catching many ling, black seabass, and porgy but just can't seem to get onto one. ah well, the beauty of it is that I get to kep trying lol!!! Funny thing, catchiing giant eels, even Conger, but they are protected here in the states. Although there is one type off eel, they catch frequently that a few of the guys ask for and take home. Not partial to eel myself. Again, thanks for taking me where I belong, out on the water.

Can't remember seeing it on the slab either, meself, have you ever tried it? I'm intrigued because it looks like a decent whitefish, the sort of flesh that would sear-up nicely in a cast iron pan. • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker  3 роки тому +1

      - They only work on certain species and in shallower depths. Anything over 120ft and the damage isn't just to the swim bladder. So you might get them down there, but they're not going to survive. Catching wrasse on shallow 50ft reefs they work well.
