Being honest I usually try to avoid tutorials because I'm embarrased that I cant blend very well but your voice is so comforting and your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!
My favorite part! She just turned 9! 💖 About to venture into creating videos again, hoping to enlist some help from my current 3-year-old so I can have her cute little voice forever too!
As someone w/ a traumatic, lonely childhood. Thank you. Colouring brings me peace. But not knowing much beyond what primary colours are, this helps a lot.
This is great! I learned so much on blending and color harmony without needing extra supplies. 😌 Also the voice over with your daughter was so cute. 🥰 Thank you for the great lesson.🌠
I really enjoyed your video! I just received some colored pencils and my first 'adult' coloring book (floral designs). It's been around 40 years or so since I have 'colored' and am indeed addicted!! I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos...
Wow!!! Thank you so much for your tutorials. You make them fun and informative!! I never knew you could do all kinds of cool stuff crayola colored pencils.
Tell me about it!! 😭 I am so happy I have this recorded to treasure forever- although now she is 7 and just lost her two front teeth so her new lisp is pretty adorable!! 🥰🥰🥰
Again, this actually helped me a lot. Even though i'm not in 6th grade, I am usually a very fast learner and mastered blending in about an hour. Thank you so much for making these videos, especially because we are all stuck in our houses. :3
Great video & instructions, you're an awesome teacher! Your little one is precious, loved the last part where she "helped" you. Good Job little artist! Thanks for helping the world colour better.
Thank you for this video! I developed anxiety since Quarantine and discovered that drawing helps me a lot! Working on some Zentangle bubbles and couldn't get the colors just right until this. FYI I'm so glad you left the part with your baby in. She's so precious!
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to know the video I created was able to help you on this level. So many of us are struggling right now and art is such an amazing outlet. I am so glad I kept the part with my daughter in too- she is 5 now and I am SO happy I have that ‘lello’ sound byte captured forever 🥰 wishing for you to stay happy, healthy, and creating!!! 🌈☀️
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This helped me so much, I’m a 10 year old going into 5th grade, so I feel like this is gonna help a lot in art class, and at home!!!
Thank you so much for your videos! They are seriously the only videos that I've understood and they literally changed the game for me. Because of your videos I did my first colored pencil drawing of my life and it looks amazing
I love your videos, recently I met you searching draws with Crayola Colored Pencils, and I enter in one of your videos. I learn really much with you and now I can to say I color really better. Thank You:D

Thank you for your video 🥺 I've always thought you'd need expensive and more professional tools to make something look good but these could help me get into color with just Crayola. Thank you💖 Ps. That voice over with your daughter was so cute🥺
The next video will show how to blend colors off of the color wheel such as browns and tans. Portraits are actually my favorite subject matter. After the basic tutorials about color theory and techniques, I will definitely get to a few on skin tones and portraits!
Faber Castell is definitely a better quality, but has a big jump in price. I think Crayola are the best VALUE- you will pay about $10 for a 50-pack, while Faber Castell will run you $30 for 60 pencils. If you are going to spend that much money, I would recommend spending $10 more dollars and splurge for a 48 pack of Prismacolor colored pencils... they are my favorite to use in my personal artwork! You can't go wrong with any of these, it just depends what kind of money you want to spend!
Hi Jenna! I just found your UA-cam channel this morning and LOVE the videos I have watched so far. Thank you SO much for doing such a fantastic job! I apologize if maybe I have not found the right video, but in the ones so far, I have yet to be able to find out what paper you are using? And, would you recommend whatever you use for a "hobby artist"? If you would please let me know what you recommend, I would hugely appreciate it. Thanks again!!
Hi commenting from India loved your video and thanks for this video it is very helpful for me and your voice is very clear that I can understand your every word. But one question is there that to blend the colours we have to pick a lighter colour and darker colour???? please reply 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Tad Garman in large areas, yes! The shading step where you are easing up on pressure shouldn’t bother your hand, but when filling in full pressure with the lighter color on something like a sky, a few breaks to ‘shake it off’ is a big help!
Try Prismacolors. I have problems with my hands cramping so I invested in some Prismacolors, and I get a very big color pay off with little pressure, and I can color longer with no hand pain.
@@Msboochie2 I love my prismacolor's when they don't break. I just found this video very impressive. I'd like to try an oil based pencil like the polychromos next, since I've heard they hold a better sharper point for longer.
For the life of me I cannot get this to work for me. It always ends up looking as though I made a mistake and I'm trying to cover it up. This whole coloring hobby is supposed to be relaxing. It's not for me at all. Maybe I expect too much too soon.
Being honest I usually try to avoid tutorials because I'm embarrased that I cant blend very well but your voice is so comforting and your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!

Extremely helpful~ I've been out of practice with colored pencils for a bit, and watching this is a great refresher.

what brand of colored pencils are best this crayola or faber castell?

This was fantastic! And ive been painting too and wondering why I don't get purple easily!!
Always ruined my day when I was a kid!! 🤣. Purple has always been my favorite color and did not come in my finger paints!
I love that you only use Crayola. I'm about to get rid of all my other colored pencils.
Which Crayola set do you have?
Did you get rid of all your colored pencils?
Great video!

Does your hand cramp from the intense pressure that Crayola's require? I have a hard time getting enough color lay down without a ton of pressure.
