  • Sweeter Than All-Hymn Sing
Four verses: Three in C; One in Db
    Verse 1:
Christ will me His aid afford,
Never to fall, never to fall.
While I find my precious Lord
Sweeter than all, sweeter than all.
    Refrain:
Jesus is now, and ever will be,
Sweeter than all the world to me,
Since I heard His loving call-
Sweeter than all, sweeter than all.
    Verse 2:
I will follow all the way,
Hearing Him call, hearing Him call,
Finding Him from day to day
Sweeter than all, sweeter than all.
    Verse 3:
Tho' a vessel I may be,
Broken and small, broken and small,
Yet His blessings fall on me,
Sweeter than all, sweeter than all.
    Verse 4:
When I reach the crystal sea,
Voices will call, voices will call,
But my Savior's voice will be
Sweeter than all, sweeter than all.

I know that I do not live in God's country - HOLY AMERICA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 but I shall keep these words in my mind to power me through a 10 hour workday. Thank you Geri and please know that these hymn sings are appreciated

I will say it most likely has been 40 years since I heard this song. Most likely the last time I heard this would have been my grandmother playing it. I mentioned once before, memories are something no one will ever take away from us. I have many great memories of my grandmother and many revolve around her playing the piano. God will always sustain us.

Geri, I really appreciate your playing and especially enjoy listening to hymns that I am unfamiliar with. Your playing style is easy for me to follow along with while playing the organ, something I really enjoy. Blessings from Canada!

Thanks, Matthew, for your kind words and for listening! The point of this playlist is for people to sing along, so playing along is a wonderful bonus. I look forward to listening to some of your offerings. Blessings!

Geri I love all your videos. I would LOVE if you played Morning Has Broken. I haven’t scrolled through the whole list of songs you’ve played, in case I might’ve missed it. But its one of my favorite hymns.

Thanks for the suggestion, Andrew! I'll add it soon. (The hard part will be not playing my arrangement, which borrows from Cat Stevens' recorded version. ;-D) And thanks for listening!

@@GeriRosserYour most welcome! Do you read music or play by ear? I read music and I usually arrange hymns on the spot. I do prefer playing by ear

@@AndrewNewman-Pinto I'm like you . . . I do both, but prefer to play by ear. The hymns on this Hymn Sing Playlist are played as I would play them for a church service, so that people can sing the parts they're used to singing. I started out putting my arrangements on the Hymns-Instrumental playlist (one of the first, so it's at the bottom of the playlists). That's where I get to be creative. Do you play for services in a church?
