I liked this video on how you are able to block internet and or sites. What does the Routes and Static routes sections do or restrict or allow, can you give an example of what Static routes are?
It may depend on your device. I had a USG and it did not have that ability but when I upgraded to a Dream Machine SE, the traffic rules had all of the options in the video above. Hope this helps.
@@area51xi sorry I should’ve been more clear. In UniFi, if it’s not clearly defined as a VPN service, it’ll often show up as Wi-Fi calling. You can run a test in your environment, but that’s usually what it’s categorized as.
I believe it would be settings > security > traffic rules from here you can block category app and select the apps. If you doing it through the app it’s in setting > security > traffic & firewall rules then add new in Destination select app or app group etc
Loved the video, Avi! Never realized how easy it is to do this on Unifi devices!
Thanks Frank! I appreciate you watching!

Excellent video Avi! Very clean, detailed and easy to follow. Well done.
Thanks Tony. I appreciate you watching. Have a great day.
HI Avi,
My user interface is not the same as yours. For example i do not have a category called "App". Am i missing something?

What if someone is using a VPN on their phone? Does this block via IP or MAC address?
Blocking Wi-Fi calling has done the trick for me.
You can target the device by network, MAC address, and other attributes
@@Kasi87 I'm not trying to block calling. I'm trying to block specific content/websites that can be circumvented by using a VPN.

Cool
Is it possible to use keywords?
Just picked up a Dream Machine SE with latest firmware, this option does not exist.
