Some how-tos for MAKE: 1. To use the fill tool, hold left and down (by the number keys) and click. 2. To get to Bezier Curve mode, press F2 for the track design mode, then press space until you get to to bezier curve mode. 3. AwEsOmE4938 can't select a tile. The solution to his problem is the track design mode, which you press F2 to get to. 4. You CAN save and open tracks. To save, press F11 and to load a track, drag the desired track into the MAKE track making screen.
@AwEsOmE4938 Press F2 on MAKE to go to the Track Design menu. There you can select a tile. Also, on manual tile placement, press enter and see what happens!
@duffrageous Draw the Zones. Press F3 to go to the Zones menu. Draw the zones then go to Destination Points. Place the first zone's point into the second zone, place the second zone's point in the third zone etc. The AI will follow these points.
all right! to save a track: 1) make the track 2) do a compile save (ctrl+F11) 3) put it into the stages folder 4) set it to a track (for example star cup race 4 then change the file to stage34.smkc) 5) load the track into MAKE and compile save again now you're done! but i don't know how to make battle stages yet... tell me!
I have a couple questions. How did you fill in the space between the two bezier curves with track tiles all in one click? And how do you use the automatic tool to clean up the track.
Is it possible to just edit existing tracks? I'm using EpicEdit right now, and I wanted to know if I could continue working on tracks in this editor (although at this point I am used to EpicEdit and only need this for perfecting the AI and placing the starting point and obstacles).

Much better
i love using the automated tile placement mode!
Yep that's it. You can set the two rows at any distance apart though.
Hold left+down arrow keys when clicking. This will fill the area with the tiles selected.
@DirtbagD You don't need winrar. I used 7-zip and it worked

This video's details have been updated with a link to the latest English compile.
Very nice
I put the link in the video info....

Like epic edits
I use epicedit. You can change the AI too in that. :P
@Technos72 Find a SNES ROM Tool and remove the header from it. The first 200bytes of our ROM where put in by your copy unit.
I have a couple questions.
How did you fill in the space between the two bezier curves with track tiles all in one click?
And how do you use the automatic tool to clean up the track.
You need to set the AI path (mode 3 - F3)
if it's a .rar file yes winrar is needed.
@MarioMan658 Take your ROM dump name it smk.smc and put it in the same folder as MAKE.
have your mario kart rom in the same folder as you open the program in, RENAME IT SMK.SMC
worked for me.
so the starting grid placement allows you set the starting point/finish, and all characters will line up behind that?
you CAN save them to the rom! i've found out but it's hard to explain it!
How do you do select tiles or make the bezier curve?

@nintendosuperfan13 Take a rom and rename it smk.smc, then get a rom tool to remove the header
Congratulations on your work on this. Hope we see more collaboration between japanese/english-speaking ROM hackers :).
HOW DO YOU SET IT TO BEZIER CURVE?!
is there an option to extract tracks from an existing hack? i want to add AI checkpoints without having to redraw the tracks.
Ummm. i have a question, HOW THE F DO I GET TO BEZIER CURVE!!! i cant figure it it out, its driving me crazy!
By the way i got a new (U) version of smk
i forgot
can you change track names or is that for a later release
Yes to al.
Can anyone tell me where I can download MAKE program and do I need the emulator and rom for this game to be able to play the track?
