For anyone wondering about what happens if you collect all the flowers:
At the end of the game, after blooming all 99 flowers, it says "Wow... That's all of them? You must really like flowers!"
That's it, no secret special thing that happens because of it that I could find

I saw it more as morality becoming more grey as their world became more colorful. The decisions behind good intentions aren't always simple or easy.

After the solution of just putting the two to sleep and the crate incident, I will admit I expected this to get darker. I was waiting for the reveal that we were the real villain of the story, and that we're gathering the shards for nefarious purposes. I don't mind being wrong here though, it's fine for this to just be a simple, cute game with a happy ending.
Shawn Heatherly I know! I thought it was going to have a long hunt/fight for Chroma and form a new crown with her soul or something. Probably corrupting Paletta.
Honestly would've preferred if it turned from grieving citizens to fucked up people planning to kill you as you adventure on.
Honestly, that's just refreshing to see. I feel like a little too many RPG games are deceptively cute but then reveal themselves to be either a little/very depressive or messed up to make themselves more interesting. Many games make it work, usually horror games, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. But I like how there are still games that are also just... not excessively dark, y'know?

The healing power was probably supposed to be used to heal the father if you poisoned the big pot of food with the poisonous flower.
nah, I tried that and Paletta just jumps away in fear like normal and doesn't do anything

He also said that in another game he played, "Rose in the Twilight". Stuck in my head after the first time I heard of that XD

I liked the idea of the story very much & I liked the sprite work _bun-bun._ A little unknown girl, chosen because she looked adorable I'm sure, had to resort to bribery & satisfying greed, trickery to escape, & cold-blooded murder of someone's father to accomplish tasks given to her by a really creepy moon. You got the strength to be interpreted as you wished, one "cool trick" of putting people to sleep, another of invisibility, & healing which theoretically should have been used on the grieving scared thieving Princess, but was unnecessary. She just got better getting a hug from Paletta. The crown including grief & fear was a real mixed bag imo, but all's well that ends well for our 2 heroines.
A good king should understand the fears of his people, and grief.
So he can be well-rounded, and sympathetic should the situation call for it?
A nuanced king, someone who doesn't see the world in black and white.
that was a really pleasant story, i was waiting for a big twist of it going really dark and grim, and while it was close to going there im kind of glad it didnt. sometimes a cute game just needs to be cute.
Made for the Indie Game Maker Contest 2017, the game I believe was made in a small period of time, hence why the story & ending of the game may of been lacking to a certain extent. Loving artstyle & palette though, oh and...what if you bring life to all of the flowers. :D Lovely let's play Manly. ^^

For anyone who keep asking/wondering this question: "Why don't get the Heal first, come back to the Green&Blue Town then cure their illness?"
Ok, that is impossible, here are the reasons why:
1. You can NOT pass the Green&Blue town from the first place, not with 2 guard are still there, no matter what direction you took or ways you try. (As you can see in 26:55, they stopped you) This is also mean that it's impossible to sneak and get to the Red town.
2. Even the Moon themself have claimed that their illness is impossible to cured, as well as other colors (27:30)
3. You can not pass through the guard (31:57) and slip through the bar (35:05) without invincibility, which you have to get from the twin. Without the invincibility, you can not pass through the chief without getting seen.
...
4. The shards are the reason what make the twin ill, taking it directly while they are asleep is needed. Is the only way and, just for everyone good. (30:03) It's not an action of greed, they're cured, without needing the help of Heal. After all, It's better like this :)
I haven't see anyone do this so I decided to make one, hope it helped!
But, if I make any mistake, feel free to prove me wrong. I always want to see more and more things abt this game, that's all uvu
Actually, you use the healing on Princess Chroma, because she's hurt. But you didn't interact with her after you made her sleep, so you just automatically healed her without dialogue/context.
I played this gamed through before watching you play it, and got all the flowers :D

Very cute. Killing the father and the mice eating you caught me off guard. My favorite part is you asking Disney not to sue you. You really do sound like Mickey. I wonder what it'll say if you collected all the flowers.
FallenAngelHiroko Remember that one shapeshifter that said they like to eat cheese and etc? My speculation is that maybe Auri, the shard holder of the yellow shard, puts the citizens to sleep and feast on them while they're still unconscious.

Games like these are a treat. As a game Jam game, you can tell that, even if they were rushed, sometimes they have a lot of heart put into them. This one was a treat to watch, and honestly i'd love to see team Cola.. not only show their creativity in other ways, but also comeback to this game and expand the world a bit. The thing about this game, as if often the case, is that it's sweet, but too short and feel like they're missing something. In this games case, it would be an explanations on the princesses motives as well as the impact of the murder, among other things. But nitpicking Aside.. 4/5 stars, would ramble about again
In the yellow town I was getting so mad because it was pretty obvious it was the cat.
1) why would a cat be around a bunch of mice
2) why is it the only cat
3) why is it so worried about her

That was simple, but charming. I definitely wasn't expecting killing the father to be the good option.
Manly the healing spell is to revived the dead flowers so you can collect them. If you collected/bloomed all of the flowers, will it be a different ending ?

Anyways, I can’t say I’m entirely disappointed. This was just as good. I do have to agree that I wish it had been longer, with maybe a few more shards and puzzles. And as far as the story goes, did I somehow miss the point where

They actually explained HOW/WHY Chroma broke the crown? Because either that wasn’t fleshed out, or something distracted me during the video and I missed it completely. Anyways, just relatively minor gripes about the game. I do love how it got unexpectedly dark though.
So, there is only ONE ending to Paletta? It's sweet, but it's sort of anticlimatic. What do you think, ManlyBadassHero?
