Finally, someone not complaining about lack of speed on the autobahn. I mean to say this car is for off-road first and foremost, with quick trips to see friends or pop around to the local shops. Sure it can go on expressways and do a fair job of it. But down tracks, in the bush and those tight parking spots is where it shines. Hats of to Suzuki and no wonder the waiting list is growing.
But in that case you need a second car for everyday drive. Not everyone can afford to have two cars. Wouldn't it be better if it had a bit stronger engine, so it could be your everyday+off-road car?
thanks, great review, I like the point of view from which you review... assessing the tool for the purpose for which it was designed... and no snobbery :) thanks...!
Suspension lift kit 5-6cm. 235/75/15 mt tyres with a set of black offset rims. Maybe an aftermarket short front bumper with a winch. And thats it baby! Give it to me!
And In India, we people are so excited to get Jimny yo be launched, because of 5 door Jimmy ( Jimmy compromised ) is being developed specially for Indian market .
If I ever get one Im putting Mercedes G wagon logos on it. it is very capable i think it cost just a bit much because it cannot be a daily unless you just 2 people with its interior space it has, was it maybe just 250K max anyone that can afford it would have it as an extra car to do anything and go anywhere with.
I agree it could have been good for 40 years but before then it's likely we will all be forced to drive electric. Love this car though and seriously thinking about getting one.
Are you kidding me??? OK duster is good at off road for a crossover but it can never match real offroaders, Jimnys off road level is of Jeep wrangler, Land cruiser or a G class and in some cases its even better than all of them
As I understand there are pro and cons of both manual and auto off-road. Look up comparison video. It should be very practical with auto in the city the question I have is why only 4 gears in auto and not 6 or at least 5? Anyone with reasonable expectation?

how will the auto do off-road?
From the videos that I have seen it does pretty well. Manual will probably still be a better bet.
@@TheRealSimeon thanks, i was just thinking the auto will be better for daily commute and then do a bit of off road only now and then..
