REX is easily one of the least talked about (and hardest to draw) characters in Risk of Rain 2, but it's not its fault! They've got tons of things going for em like... well, just watch the video.

Rex on monsoon is actually very fun and powerful. Then you get to e5… then you get to e8…
he's still fun (as long as you have the dlc), just not powerful lol
it is cool being able to actually use the op dlc items that rely on not getting hit

@@VeryAnonymousTurtlee8 is like the core of the difficulty, permanent damage makes it so you finally have no other choice than to dodge attacks. It would be perfect if it didnt affect self-damage

Rex is def the character I've played the least. I don't hate him or anything, I like the concept of his character. He just has a bit of a learning curve compared to most other survivors imo. I still need to get most of his unlocks...

I played this game 24/7 and unlocked all the achievements on xbox. I never played this character.

REX main here. In full honesty, I prefer the tertiary over pretty much every other mobility, since I find it more fun.
Also, I can't believe they named a begonia after REX.
Also also, the only thing to do to make REX less hated would probably be removing the self-damage issues in E8.
your video is real cool but i think you need to have the live footage in your video slightly delayed from the audio as it ends up giving off an uncanny effect where you voice seems like it matches up with your footage but i doesn’t feel right. it’s just as simple as your mic is slower than your camera so offsetting it slightly, fixes that. idk if that’s the case but i hoped it helped. rex rise up
rex does seem like a strong character, but he also seems to have the highest skill floor of all the characters too. why should I bother learning how to use my hp bar as a mana bar when I could just hold M2 and click the funny boxes or swing around the entire map with like two clicks of M2 (I will eventually learn this silly robot plant but if the quest to unlock him was any indication, it's definitely not going to be easy lmao)
I tried to use Rex and the main turnoff for me was it feels so *sluggish*, It's probably because im a merc main and dodging goes brr. And also his animations are just ass, his proc coefficent is abysmal so you can't really even proc anything and even if you do it's abysmally bad. Like the primary DISPERSE has 0 proc coefficent. FUCKING 0.

Rex is glorious. Any time I want to just relax and chill with a long game run I’ll play Rex. I’m talking like 60+ wave runs or anything like that. Rex is my choice every time

Ngl my favorite thing about Rex is his lore entry, I love playing him but dam that lore entry is funny
rex is one of my favourite characters in the game, not because i do the best playing him compared to all other character, but because of how unique and fun his game mechanics are and how good it feels when you can manage them right.
