@@jeremylamovsky3669 You’ll have to go there at see all the sizes. Some of the beads are in various sizes depending on the hook size you’re using. You’ll probably never tie that many, but a few years ago they had glass beads in multi color including clear, not sure if the were pearl but my buddies use clear glass also replicates the air sack fine. If you haven’t shopped there, there are literally 30 ir 40 items use can use effectively for fly tying at a fraction of the cost of fly shops. There are UA-cam videos of Hobby Lobby fly fishing ventures.
The effect of the flash under the uv resin is so neat! Even as someone who uses uv resin pretty frequently, I love seeing the effects different materials have with it.
no problem. can always skip the tail step too and add a clump of 5-6. I forgot to say that. I like to split mine but it shouldn't make much of a difference
Great price on these. I'm used to paying 1.50-3.50 per fly. These are great flies! And hand tied! Lots to learn still, as I am working on my technique. Thanks Mainly!
Awesome, im going to tie some stoneclingers when the nymph brads get here and i want to use that splaying technique. I love using lateral scale for flashback and wing casing
Hi Jesse I am new to fly tying and I was wondering if you could make a video of what you need to tie flys I would like to get more into this art and sport
Get a beginner fly tying tool kit to start. Then look up what flies you want to tie and make a list of materials because most of the materials that come in the fly tying kits aren't the greatest and you don't get a lot of it. Hope this helps.
@@MainelyFlies I learned at a young age those fly tying kits didn't have the great materials or a lot of them unless you bought one of those really expensive kits for over a hundred dollars. Unfortunately I lost 50 grand in fly tying material and inline spinner building materials in a house fire two years ago. And when you have a business you're trying to start that was the last thing I needed to happen.
Esta ninfita puede ir muy bien para pescar a pez visto en aguas tranquilas, reune muchos requisitos para éste tipo de pesca de rececho de truchas cuando están comiendo debajo de la superficie 👌
Yup I use one as an indicator and add a 6-10” section of the bend and tie this on. It can really work wonders when you see those boiling rises. Use this if it’s BWOs or a midge pattern generally do the trick. Occasionally it might be caddis but not as often. I’ll fish that hatch differently
There are many species that can be found in just about every water body including rivers, lakes, and ponds. But not necessarily a correction as it dose have a bit of the profile of a stone fly, changing the color and size and it could work as that as well
It's not your tying that I have an issue with, it's your ridiculous narration cadence; PLEASE, just use a normal speaking voice! Your videos are unwatchable with the sound turned on.
Don't watch them, that's fine. I can't make videos to accommodate everyones taste and I'm not going to change something thats grow this to be the largest fly tying channel on the platform.
I just bought a ton of those glass beads from hobby lobby for fly tying and now I know what I’m going to tie. 🔥
A ton of them? Good looking fly, so I’m gonna tie some too!
Really? They fit the hook decent?

My local fly shop has all of the materials I need for this guy. They help me, I help them. Great pattern for tonight.

That CDC oiler puffs?
What size are you tying these in? 18-22?
Where do you buy your materials
All over the place but most commonly on Fly fish food and J. Stockard
So you double up the flies on the line?

Is that a stone fly ?😊 Nice fly
This is what we call Blue wing olives, a general name given to many species of small mayflies often gray to light green in color
Thanks for correcting me again are may flies only Stillwater
