For everyone reading; The ‘spare’ plastic piece lines up with the six tabs on the bottom edge of of the diffuser. Even if it doesn’t belong with your model, it will give extra rigidity. It supports wiring and other stuff on some models like my S205 C250d. It simply clips onto the tabs. Easy!
Ended up getting this Same Diffuser for free, (long story). Put it on sunday, and it took me less time than I thought it was gonna be.With a little bit of help of course. Looks spectacular. Thanks Flexx!

I've watch this video months ago, because I wanted to install a carbon fiber diffuser on a 2017 AMG C43 Conv. Great video and it helped me to get a good idea about a diffuser install, but for what it is worth I had to remove the complete rear bumper for a clean install. Keep up the good work Flexx
Yeah. My diffuser wouldn’t snap in well and it would of been easier if I removed my rear bumper but if I have to remove one less thing, it’s fine by me. I was able to pound the diffuser with my hand for the tabs to snap into place.

I had installed them 2 years ago on my car. We even took bumper off to get rid of gap which upper side of bumper gives. But we ended up exactly like u.

I would have never used a zip tie because that looks cheap and not professional. Instead use automotive bolt with a nut and that would look better and more secured. That's what I did when I installed the E63 diffuser on my 2016 E400. Rivets can be a pain and I rather used nuts and bolts. Overall the new diffuser with the gloss black quad pipe tips look awesome! Nice going Flexx! 👍
It’s not coming off. I’ve had zip ties on 3 diffusers in my past cars. Plus..I don’t care about clean install. Nobody is crawling under my car anytime soon to judge my work. Hahaha

@@TheFlexxGarage I just bought a kit, seems like the brackets wont attach to the diffuser, but it attaches to the tips, how do you know which diffuser kit is right for your bumper?
That bit that you couldn't work out where it went sits flat on the back of the diffuser, it holds the aerials for GPS and DAB. it also helps to stiffen up the diffuser

Great video. So that black part is so you can mount plastic piece that you need to transfer from original diffuser so you can have place to use oem bolts under the car.
So yeah you can use rivet or extra bolts to join oem plastik and new one you recieve with diffusor.

Got the same kit, bumped into the same issues as you, but it looks gorgeous. I took the bumper out and put brackets alongside the diffuser cause the clippers in the diffuser aren’t deep enough.
Yeah...I went back and did some more "slapping" and I finally got mine to all clip in. It's definitely easier to clip in if the bumper is off but I just hate removing body panels. They always take awhile and sometimes they never align perfectly when putting back on the car. I guess I'm just lazy. hahahaha

Anyone know where I can find a diffuser for a 2018 convertible W205 c300. I wanna do circular quad tips but these diffusers are impossible to find.
I have c180 and tried to install almost same type of rear diffuser, but fking exhaust pipes are as an obstacle on the driver's side so the tip doesn't fit.
After watching this video I bought this same mod for my car. Side note for viewers, at 1:35 where he used a screw driver to remove the “Tubes”, I have rivets. As I start the installation, I’ll come back and edit my comment for anything that may be different from what I’ve seen in the video.
I installed using rivets. The tool costs only 16$ at auto zone and pep boys. I assume whoever orders this kit may come with Rivets . Easy to get and better stability. I did although use zip ties on the inner brackets

can you explain how you went about pushing the middle clip into the bumper i installed a diffuser and the middle just won’t budge im pushing it hard as hell!
Put one hand behind and push from the outside. I also hammered it in with the bottom of the fist with quick, strong hits.
Flexx - did you ever resolve the issue with the 3 clips. I literally spent hours trying to fit mine today, and had exactly the same issue. Ended up going back to stock as it looked so bad.

you have to have the AMG line rear bumper for this to fit. not the luxury rear bumper

It’s a stock C300 sport bumper. It’s not an AMG bumper. The only change i made is the diffuser and tips (which is clearly in the video.)
I managed to find one on eBay, just installed it yesterday. They’re out there but hard to find.
Not only that but I had to buy parking sensors to fill the holes but they don’t function since my model doesn’t have that feature

It should fit because the 2015-2018 AMG line rear bumper is the same as the 2019 AMG line c300. but you need to reconfirm with the reseller selling you the diffuser.
I’m just wondering if I install this on my car will this void my factory warranty?
I'd also like to know this as I was considering the mod too. Most likely they will say it's not stock and work not carried out through them so not authorised I'm guessing. Think I'll stick to just having my original part wrapped black

The middle piece is for the 2 tips to join up. Your replace the old parts with the new plastic and it lines the exhaust up and pushes the diffuser in properly. The two things yours didnt do because of this. Fitted mine yesterday
mine is not even close to attaching the 2 tips. It was basically useless. You might probably have bought a better kit then mine.
Lol guys you have you use the other brackets from the oem diffuser and swap it to the new diffuser that's why nothing is lining up these diffusers don't come with everything you have to reuse from your oem diffuser

Left it off for 5 years and diffuser is still fine.

No, the tips are full metal with metal trims. I just received mine today and mine are chrome, stamped with the AMG logo. I’m very impressed by the quality
Sup Flex! Awesome vid as usual, I think I know the reason you are saying the exhaust tips dip down a little bit. At 5:40 in your vid then you are mounting them back up with the zip tie, the holes were way off. I could be totally wrong , just trying to help. I’ve been looking for a rear diffuser for my 2018 c300 with the square tips. It just looks so dope! My car came with the AMG sport line body and interior which I love just wish I had that bi turbo. nope. It's just the tips. The 2 hanging hooks that I installed onto the plastic bracket...those hooks are not the same length..that's why the tips hands uneven. That's the nature of aftermarket parts. They'll never be perfect like OEM. I can probably take off the tips and bend the hanging hooks but i dont care. They are good enough as is...unless it gets on my nerves.

The diffusor itself looks nice, but dude,, the offset of those ugly wheels are really bad, and besides before you install any AMG kit to any non AMG car you should've already lowered your car.

Good for you man. You can go spend money and buy one and use it on your car then. And at the end of the day, my diffuser is gonna be on my car just like yours will be on yours and nobody is gonna care if I used a “special tool”.
Not everyone wants to buy a tool for one time use when you can use an everyday multi purpose tool like a drill to do the same job.
