Clear and normal switch was some sort of microphone compression. The Rotel RVC-240 which you know had the same board just a different front had the same function. Nice video, love the old 27/81 radios, I have a few of my own
Thanks Ben, If you look back i started showing a bit my collection this time last year and planned on doing a video with each and everyone before the end of 2023 but my interest’s decided to move onto other things..haha
Oooh cybernet radios I like cybernet radios.. Seriously a nice looking radio that one Neil… Gimme a shout at some point I’ll come over yours for the antennas just forgot your addy tho
I have two of these ones in it's box where as the other one is a 80 channel conversion and is well used but still working great. I suppose this was as close to a superstar 2000 we were ever going to get
@@lambrettadave7 Yeah when i think about it the Rotel is kind of a timeless design with its modern greys. While you’re about can i ask if you by any chance have any old photos of Supertech at the metro?
@@gtretroworld unfortunately I don't have any fotos of any of the supertech shop's but I used to like to visit the green market in Newcastle as it had a better display of CBs in it but the south shields shop was a proper browsing shop where you could get a good look at the antennas and stuff
Brings back good memories, lovely looking rig,enjoy reminiscing. Good video,👍
Memories play a big part in this channel, Thank you.
No Thank You 4 posting these vids,I've just gon and bought mysell a sidebander after 35 years,must be cracking up,lol
@@johnerfmover5672 It is definitely worth it, especially at the moment as conditions are great for DX.

You should get yourself back on Andy as there is quite a few locals back on the bands.

I thought i only had one but i sort of found another, well it’s basically a Binatone 5 star with a 863 front and it’s horrendous ..😂
@@gtretroworld I think the five star front is the best of the big cybernets, but the Rotel still looks good and fresh

@@lambrettadave7 No worries Dave, would have been nice for a future video i had planned. Looks like i will have to build a Time Machine haha
They always looked like a sidebander in disguise , sadly not.
Yes they were very similar to quite a few Cybernet SSB Radios.
@spacebar1892 I have a Binatone 5 star with a 863 facia, it’s a proper horror..😂
