You can create a parallel bus and apply this effect to it, now blend between you actual channel and bus...as you do with reverb and delays 🙂

But you can use fabfilter Saturn 2 or any other multi band saturation plugin to target higher frequencies and use low bypass of wider to achieve this instead to use a channel splitter

Yess that's true, I already have said in the beginning 😜....but here you have more control....like you can create compression,equalization, to either channels and blend them accordingly....
