This is truly inspirational. To see someone focus their passion and refinement of details to the point of perfection, and obviously persevere to the fruition of success still going strong after so many years…truly an American success story. I truly hope you are enjoying every moment that all of your hard work has deservedly afforded you. Hats off to you Steve!❤. LOVE FIREBOX STOVES!!😊
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are truly blessed and so very thankful for the kindness and support of our customers. It means the world to us so thank YOU!! 😊
Love my firebox. I always take it on my early morning fishing trips on cold mornings for coffee and eggs and bacon in my cast iron. Barbecuing took a little while to master at first I always burned my meat but with a little finesse it works great. Shifting all the fuel to the side seems to help regulate the heat as well. 10/10.
Steve, Ive just finished a fire building seminar using your already perfect firebox, the first of many seminars for the beggining of the season. Now you go and add more features! can't wait to get my hands on several of them for the next workshop series. Your stove is by far the best. I've never seen a better stove. Keep going brother.
I am thrilled that I just ordered the Firebox. G2-5" I have been watching every video I can. I have many stoves and grills but I think this will be my favorite. Thank you...
Just bought one of these in the UK. Have used it to heat up water, but will be cooking on it tomorrow. Excellent packaging - a really compact stove, solid construction for serious cooking. Been wanting one for a while. Keep up the good work. Greetings from sunny UK
That is great to hear, you will have to let me know how your cooking went on it. I would be interested to hear. Thanks for watching from the UK, I appreciate the support. Have fun out there with your stove, Cheers!
I was impressed when I reviewed the original Firebox and can't wait to buy this Gen-2 to test/review! You keep making great updates to your stoves! Well done and great demonstrations! ADB
I've said it before and I will say it again. The Folding firebox is just awesome. The next gen is even better. Who would have thought the original design could be improved anymore? But additions and especially the ability to use a camp oven are winners/ I am extremely pleased with my original Firebox. It has become a trusted friend but but! Maybe? Haa Welldone Steve and all the best. Sandy
Bought my son one in July, he loves it! I got jealous and Bought myself one and received it today! Going to spend my 4 day weekend up in the Crazy Mountains here in Montana! Cheers!
Awesome! Steve, that food looked absolutely amazing. The mods look and work absolutely wonderful. It great to see a full meal prepared on one fire like this. I just tried the Swedish fire torch myself for the first time, why didn't I do it earlier. Take care, Shane
Hi Steve Just got myself a firebox G2-5 after watching you cooking that steak. All I can say is thanks for all the videos and a quality piece of kit, love the way you incorporate your family as well, keep up the great work and videos Regards John
Received my G2-5 order last night. One week to get to my place, just East of Toronto, Canada. Main unit, optional attachments and cookware all arrived in perfect condition. I'm so excited, I think I'm going to be cooking on the Firebox for the next several days and using it to make charred cloth and charred punk wood, etc... Very happy with my purchase!
Wow! That looks very nice! I love the improvements. I have had so much warping as an issue with my "other" stove that I'm thinking this may be a solution. I'll be saving up to try and get one! Love a company that listens to feedback. Well done indeed brother Steve Be well Craig
Steve... An excellent video... I left this message on your other video with the chicken on the Nano. I want to take this opportunity to say a few things. First, I have purchased both the 5" Firebox and the Nano Gen 2. I am very pleased with both and I appreciate the Military Discount you offered. I have shared my stove with other members in my military group. I just watched a video from someone that did not like your Nano Gen 2 because it did not boil his water fast enough to eat his meal within 5 minutes and his cup turned black. I went camping with my sons and while it took 12 minutes for my water to boil, I had a delightful, quality conversation with both during that time as we cooked our meals. I used the Firebox for a campfire and an old style percolator for coffee. I look forward to the next generation of Firebox and will pass my old one to my sons. I shared Shane's video on my Facebook page for others to see and will let my camping buddies know about the new Firebox... Keep up the good work. Ken T
Dude - the ingenuity and design in your stoves are just beyond top-notch. I've been using a bushbuddy for a few years but from everything I've seen, you might convert me over to some Firebox action.
I have a lot of respect for the bush buddy as I know they're handmade one at a time. I think it's a shame that big business is selling forgeries openly and everyone's okay with it.
Agreed with you there. He put a ton of care into the design and build, while the other has a ton of care in marketing. I own one of the larger copies which-shall-here-remain-nameless, but really I'm betting if I pick up one of yours, it won't see much use. :)
Bro as soon as I get right with my money I'm goin to buy your ultra cook set. I usually buy products because they are cool. But your products are awesome, I'm buying because You are awesome. These videos are relaxing. You have a very calming tone and delivery which makes for great video. Told you I was going to start binge watching your content. 😁
Kudos....That is one of the best, instructional, demonstrative cooking /backpacking product videos I have seen... I'm going to subscribe and watch all your videos.Thanks.
+Don Milligan Or maybe three words Versatility Versatility Versatility Lol, Everyone uses the Firebox a little bit differently but all with similar success. Thanks Don!
Hi Steve...i got my 5'' firebox stove a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. i have been showing it off to all of my families and colleages at work. there is no better marketing than word-of-mouth :). However, there is one improvement idea maybe worth your time to think about. G2 5'' firebox stove has two side feed holds. i wish that at least one has an opening big enough to fit charcoal briquettes. this setup would allow me to feed the stove without the food and the grill being removed.
Great job and excellent demo on the new features. By the way you have my tripod stool lol. Those stools are the best I carry mine around in the truck all the time as I use it on the job even.
Hello Steve .. I've always been a fan of your Firebox ... from the first day .. I'm from Germany and we have the Bushbox here .... but I do not support this here because I think you're the inventor of This so sensational Firebox ... I respect this and I will always try to support you here in Germany so that others can also buy this great Firebox here ... as I said .. I'm a fan of you .. keep going and let yourself never do anything else ... an absolute fan from Germany ... greetings to the family ... Uwe
Thank you so much for that support, I truly appreciate it. I am glad you are enjoying the videos and are happy with what you have seen of the stove. I appreciate you watching and being involved clear from Germany! I hope things are well for you and your family! Cheers my friend.
WOW! What more can I say Steve? You guys have outdone yourselves again. I'll be on board! One question---will all my current grill plates fit the Gen 2 stove? Thanks so much for all your great work.
Wonderful upgrade you made to accommodate the zebra pot. Do you think this modification can be made to the gen 1 firebox... ??? The idea of using the zebra as an oven is superb! Despite being a minimalist, you figured a way to bring a full kitchen outdoor! Great vid, Steve. Pls keep them coming...!!!
Great improvements, Steve! I'm in love with my 5" FoldingFirebox, but this new version looks even more versatile. Is there any plan for the titanium G2-5"?
+vvmspb Yes is the good news, the bad news is the price, so far pricing is coming in very high and they're probably 3 to 6 months out. I'm still working on that tho. Thanks for asking!
Yeah I've got quite a few ideas for a lot of your stuff Stanley but on that a great that could go in there as a oven shelf you know a little mini pan for it also your a pan for your for rolls but I'll be nice I can think of a lot of stuff for all your cookware later
I like the addition of the side feed holes, it allways seemed a bit cramped to me only having the space at the top to add extra fuel, especially if you were useing the grill or boil plate options.
Bravo Steve!? Didn't think you could improve upon the 5" Firebox but here it is. A full meal including baked bread and a radiant meal warmer all with just two pieces of kit. You outdid yourself AGAIN. The BIG question: will this be available in Titanium? I know it hasn't met performance standards in the past but will the expansion slots in the ash plate make the difference?
+Canesser Hi Clint, Yes is the good news, the bad news is the price, so far pricing is coming in very high and they're probably 3 to 6 months out. I'm still working on that tho. Thanks for asking!
Hi Steve! I Robert just got my 5" firebox stove today. wow I got to tell you I love it it's perfect. I will be buy one more 5" firebox and 2 of the Gen 2 nano. and how much does the Gen 2 nano's weight? plus I will be getting all accessories to boot. I very pleased. thank you much Robert.
Great video as always ! Am I right to understand by this video that to use Trangia gas bunrer with G2 one does not need round fire sticks anymore? Thank you !
How are you cleaning the wood smoke off your pots, especially the one you're baking it, so it gets all sooty on the sides. I've had the soot ruin several pots on my solo stove, and putting soap all over them first invariably gets soap taste on stuff no matter how careful i am. Also, any recommendations and/or specifics for other pots that work with your firebox for baking? For instance, what size and beand is that rolls pan, and is the zebra the only one that works so well with baking? Thanks, awesome stove.
I don't consider my pots ruined when they have a layer of black glaze on the bottom half. The loose soot is the messiest aspect which is easily wiped off with a paper towel, what's Left behind is more of a glaze than doesn't transfer nearly as easily. When I'm washing with soap and water i'll take the scrubbing pad over the whole outside of the pot to remove the easily transferred stuff. I embrace the black glaze left behind 😎👍👊
Hi Steve, I love the stove. As for the baking horizontally, why don't you make your own baking trays at sizes fitting the zebra Billy's can, instead of cutting the fat daddio's till it fits? It would be a nice addition/accessory to the stove. I bought the square fat daddio's of 16x16x6,5 cm and made it fit the can but it was quite a challenge. Although it fits the can now, the lid has a slight problem with the width of the tray, it does not close for 100% but it will do.
Hi, what pot size and what square pan is in this video. Your webstie lists several of each, and just trying to figure out what combo is in the video. thanks.
Could you please give a list of different types of fire types(like Swedish Fire torches) and charcoal stacking methods that can be used in Firebox and when to use them.
It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of how they all work, which tells me you've watched a lot of my videos, thank you for that. Here is one that might help with your situation: ua-cam.com/video/6eQCKCSu5vs/v-deo.html. I will try to do a video one day that addresses your question and thank you for the suggestion. Cheers!
Great setup, Can you use the trangias with the Zebra pot oven ? Or is it just the nano you can do it with ? Definately going to get one just cant decide which one.
You can but it is hard because you cannot control the heat on it. When baking you want to be able to have the heat on the bottom lower and then the heat on top high enough to brown what you are baking. You can use the spirit burner with the 5" Stove and 3" Stove. Thanks!!
+JD right?? Thanks JD, the KickStarter opens at 8am MDT Sep. 25th or if you're not the Kickstarter type you can pre-order here: www.fireboxstove.com/5-inch-folding-firebox
Hey Steve, Once again a great video. This question might sound strange, but can you start selling your thermal mass rocks? I am not sure which stone category, but if you had a small sack to put them in and sell them , it would be great. Now, if UTAH has a problem with someone selling local stones, I can understand. Could you look into it, nothing you have to purchase, but one of your staff collecting rock s at lunch.
Hi, what pot size and what square pan is in this video? Your website lists several of each, and just trying to figure out what combo is in the video. thanks.
In this video it is the BOX-POT and Cooking Stone. If you have further questions feel free to email us at info@fireboxstove.com and we'll help you out. 😁
thanks for asking, If you're not carrying your gear on your back I recommend the stainless steel version as it is bomb proof here's a link: www.fireboxstove.com/Sale?product_id=439 if you are carrying your gear on your back I recommend the titanium 5 in Firebox. Here's a link:. www.fireboxstove.com/titanium?product_id=390

Thanks! I really appreciate your input 👍
Great job and excellent demo on the new features. By the way you have my tripod stool lol. Those stools are the best I carry mine around in the truck all the time as I use it on the job even.
+RViscara Yes! I love that thing!
Marvellous man, i have just got a folding wood stove and can't wait to modify like this, sweet bit of kit buddy.

Despite being a minimalist, you figured a way to bring a full kitchen outdoor! Great vid, Steve. Pls keep them coming...!!!
+Matthew Ho Yes, it works on the Gen1, the Gen2 has deeper slots that engage the Firesticks better but it does work on both.
Thanks for asking!

Yeah I've got quite a few ideas for a lot of your stuff Stanley but on that a great that could go in there as a oven shelf you know a little mini pan for it also your a pan for your for rolls but I'll be nice I can think of a lot of stuff for all your cookware later
That is great that you have such an inventive mind, thanks for sharing Dale!
Awesome 👍
Thanks Russell 🙏
I like the addition of the side feed holes, it allways seemed a bit cramped to me only having the space at the top to add extra fuel, especially if you were useing the grill or boil plate options.
+Chris Dorris I'm glad you like them Chris! They really work well!
Whew! Sounds like I still have time to use my new Firebox before I buy the gen 2.
+Robert Eads Laughing, Keep it clean and you can give it to someone for Christmas.
Thanks!

+m Dascoota Yes, it is a lot of work cutting down the pans. More than one may think. That's why we have them done on a CNC mill.
Hi, what pot size and what square pan is in this video. Your webstie lists several of each, and just trying to figure out what combo is in the video. thanks.
I have it and LOVE IT
Thank you for the support, so glad you have been enjoying your Firebox Stove!
Cheers!
great product and very informative video! Is there any way to order just the leather sheath for my existing firebox?
Sure, here's a link: www.fireboxstove.com/accessories/handmade-leather-case
Thanks!
Thanks!!
Many Thanks....Got the G2-5" Firebox Bushcraft Camp Stove Kit on the way from Amazon UK.
hi that's a good stove buddy
+david clarke Thanks David!
Hello I am in the process of purchasing the 5" with all the bells and whistles. I am curious though what size Zebra Billy are you using ?
Hi J, Thanks for asking, It's the 16cm loop handle pot.

+JD right?? Thanks JD, the KickStarter opens at 8am MDT Sep. 25th or if you're not the Kickstarter type you can pre-order here: www.fireboxstove.com/5-inch-folding-firebox
Hey Steve,
Once again a great video.
Lol! Thanks for the feedback, I'll give it some thought. Cheers!
