Great skimmer had a few different makes over the years and i think this is the best .Not had the adjustment problem you have i set it to the correct depth and adjusted it to a dry skim 👍
Good to know! Maybe you have to tell me how you have it set to. I've tried to adjust it but after awhile, the skim always fill up the cup. The biggest thing that helped was to elevate it. To make this skimmer an even better skimmer, Nyos should open up the outlet a bit to allow more flow out. This will help with controlling the water level in the skimmer body. The other thing they should consider is a dc variable pump.
I see the Uv is still there so im assuming you never had any issues with it. I just purchased the same and im planning on plumbing, but likely more through my return at low flow rate. What cycle are you running it on if any? Do you now know the flow rate you've put through it?
The UV set up is still working fine With no issues. I have slow flow going through it. I use my fingers to feel the output flow to ensure water is running but I have no idea on the flow.
co2 scrubber will get really expensive. I use to run it on my reefer 350. On my reefer 625, its' more economical to just run a tubing outside which gets fresh air. My ph has been around 8.1-8.4.
@@b3astmod341 it's going to take time. Run it like that for a few weeks. You should also test your salt mix to see if the ph is where you want it. If not, that could be why your ph is where it's at.

@@ModernReefer I set the skimmer to sit in 8 inchs of water made a stand from some pipe for legs and acrylic sheet
@@chriskeegan7520 I had to do the same thing. I have my skimmer elevated. Without the elevation, my skimmer would just skim wet.
thanks~... btw ..kitchen? your wife ok with it?
She's okay with it so far.

@@ModernReefer I connected it through the skimmer but it’s having a hard time getting the pH up
