I love this interview. Actual love. I guess it's because of the fact that the interviewer doesn't interrupt him. He lets Benedict explain everything and go into every detail. You can see by the way he looks at Benedict that he's actually fascinated by him. I honestly can't think of anything better than listening to Benedict all day long. Letting him say whatever he has to say with that glorious voice of his. Don't you find it adorable when he shows excitement for new things? He once said he's still a child (Letterman show I think) and I can totally perceive it whenever he narrates something. His eyes are brighter and his face illuminates. Oh my God, your beautiful mind. Benedict, you have what you deserve and this interview just makes me be even more proud of being your fan. As simple as that. Don't you ever change, wonderful man.
María Nine I agree with you with that first point and generally everything you wrote in this lovely paragraph. Fun fact, thought, I just came from the David Letterman interview 😂 that’s a very uncanny coincidence, hahah
I don't care if he's rambling on about shit or what have you, he can talk my head off and I wouldn't be the least bit bothered. I actually love it when he rambles.
TyraUK You know people have things about him that they love, like "ramblebatch" or "gingerbatch," "babybatch" when he was a kid, and my favourite, "daddybatch" with him being with kids and holding infants, like, goddammit, Ben, get it together and become a father, already!
"What was the funniest thing that happened on set?" Me: "Please say Neutron Cream please say Neutron Cream...." Benedict: "There was this huge prank...." Me: "YES!"
Ok, Ben really likes that interviewer! He shakes his hand as if to say, "You're a down/cool guy who let me talk freely and made me feel appreciated and valued without all the gimmicks that some interviewers do or feel they have to do during Press Junkits.
As David Letterman said: " No offense to another the rest of the cast, BUT THEY DONT NEED MORE THAN YOU! " wise words Mr. Letterman, I thinked the same. I watched this movie just to see him.
I swear Benedict gives THE LONGEST answers and i love it. It's also great when the interviewer doesn't interrupt him and just lets him ramble off all he wants. Bless him.
What a great interview! Benedict is one of the most charming, intelligent, and down to earth actors of our times! He is attractive in an angular kind of way, skinny and tall with a delicate face and piercing eyes. It would be a dream come true to sit down with him and have a drink and a chat. I admire him so much, what a gentleman! He is always impeccably well dressed, and I like a man with style and substance!
It's amazing when you didn't know Benedict at the time of Watching Star Trek: Into Darkness then coming back after and just in wow because he is an amazing actor and in so many awesome movies! I knew he was the voice for Smaug in The Hobbit, but i didn't even know he was Khan in this movie when i had watched it. SO FUCKING AWESOME!!
Benedict is so intelligent and elegant in real life as well in his acting. He brings up everyones performance when he's around. He is absolutely gorgeous and his voice is soooo sexy! I envy the man being able to sit and chat with such an incredibly talented man! LOVE YOU BEN :3
How loyal he is to the people he cares about made me love him even more, and I was already a Cumberbabe so there is a possibility my heart will explode.
See, what I love about Benedict is how he can take a few questions and give such in-depth answers that it takes sixteen and a half minutes. God, I seriously adore that about him.
He sounds so enthusiastic about the whole thing, it's so awwww. I love listening to people who love what they do, and he obviously had a blast in this movie.
OMG, what a fantastic interview! I nearly died with laughter over the neutron cream story and Benedict's impression of a gif. The interviewer did a great job with just letting him talk as long as he wanted to, as well. Great job, everyone! :)
It's incredible how many little impressions he throws into his storytelling, so brief that you might not catch them initially, and yet so accurate! I've never seen anyone slip in and out of such different personas so quickly.
Benedict has this ability to make interviewers love hearing him rambling. i dont blame them. I could hear him talking ALL DAY. God, the neutron cream story was hilarious!!! Never gets old!!
He just amazes me with how wonderfully intelligent, well-versed and openly friendly he is. I seriously hope that they put the prank on the DVD, it will be so awesome to see them all having so much fun behind the scenes. I can hardly wait for it to come out! :)
The reason i love Benedict so much is because he's intelligent, always a classy man, he has the most amazing deep voice, his playing is wonders and he's just in genereal a great great person!
he actually was amazing as (character name removed) and actually in some ways resembles the original. there's a few facial expressions he makes that are quite similar and the delivery of his lines is equally cunning and terrifying. bravo!
16 minutes and he answered only 4 questions. Wow, he really can tell stories, holy crap, his answers were epics. He makes the most mundane of stories so interesting. He talks alot, and i love it.
I respect that Benedict really gives thought to the answers. It makes the interview so much more interesting to watch. Clearly a very intelligent actor, despite falling for the NIF prank. Also, his voice...
For me, the reason he was SO great was that his Khan was NOT pure evil, but was ultimately human, but had been twisted by events and things done to him.
Benedict is mesmerising in his role in Star Trek Into Darkness. It's about time his amazing talent is being recognised, although his performance in Sherlock launched him into the spotlight a while ago. He is truly a great actor and a very humble and amusing man, which comes across in this interview. He'd be a fantastic dinner party guest (always welcome at my place Benedict!! LOL!)
Genuinely a great actor proud to be British! Really embodies a character everything you see him in its like a completely different person, not like Tom cruise or mark wahlberg where they just play themselves in everything
Benedict Cumberbatch is always cast in the most eloquent, sophisticated, and intelligent roles. Van Gogh, Alan Turing, Stephen Hawking were obviously brilliant men. His take on Sherlock Holmes in BBC's Sherlock is perfectly and utterly sarcastic and witty. And that's not to forget his stunningly bittersweet and raw portrayal of Kahn in Into Darkness. And my second favorite of his characters (my first being Sherlock), Edmund Talbot in To The Ends Of The Earth.

I admire all aspects of Cumberbatch's talent, but the truth is that his voice makes my headphones vibrate in the most delicious way.
I sometimes believe Benedict Cumberbatch can explain everything that is happening logically and offering a way to solve the problems . He is catching things on the spot . . .
I would quite happily listen to this man speak for an indefinite amount of time. He seems to have the gift/ability to express opinions in the most logical and least partisan way. We (the world) need more people with this approach to debate and conversation. it helps that he is painfully attractive!
i just play his videos just to listen to his voice even tho im tuned out n sometimes not listening to what he is saying.. but it feels good whenever he speaks. His words are beautiful while his voice is magnetic.
I went to see the hangover part 3 last night and as I approached the theater for that movie, in the theater right next to it, Star Trek Into Darkness was playing. I could hear him say "Captain are you going to punch my face until your arm weakens again?" and his voice came so calmly but so commandingly through that door. It was cool.
Benedict is one actor I have seen take on a person I dislike to so much than he has me falling in love with a perfect Gentleman. I was a Trekkie of the 80's actually late 70's, Benedict has given me excitement once again to enjoy a Movie. Thank you!
This guy was born to be in Star Trek....... as good as he was in this film I kinda think it's a shame they 'used him up' so to speak in just one film! He would be so good on the regular cast
Benedict, very articulated and thoughtful dialogue on this movie and all supporting cast involved. I loved the prank and your reading of the disclaimer; the Marx Brothers would have been so proud!!! Continued success sir!!
I don't mind how much he was talking, it is an *interview* after all, not to mention his very first kind of Hollywood franchise film; of course he's very excited and chatty about it. Loved his impressions too, they were spot on.
tell me about it, I have been living in Canada for 10 years and feel good enough about my english, no problem communicating with people around me, and then Benedict appears, with all his big words, totally send me back to school
I love this interview. Actual love. I guess it's because of the fact that the interviewer doesn't interrupt him. He lets Benedict explain everything and go into every detail. María Nine I agree with you with that first point and generally everything you wrote in this lovely paragraph. Fun fact, thought, I just came from the David Letterman interview 😂 that’s a very uncanny coincidence, hahah
this is a rather extraordinary interview compares to some others that focus, say, 🙄 on the diets of the actors to get in shape
I don't care if he's rambling on about shit or what have you, he can talk my head off and I wouldn't be the least bit bothered. I actually love it when he rambles.
Same here! I love a bit of wafflebatch
TyraUK You know people have things about him that they love, like "ramblebatch" or "gingerbatch," "babybatch" when he was a kid, and my favourite, "daddybatch" with him being with kids and holding infants, like, goddammit, Ben, get it together and become a father, already!
Haha! Hubbybatch *_*
TyraUK i volunteer as tribute! :)
"What was the funniest thing that happened on set?"
Me: "Please say Neutron Cream please say Neutron Cream...."
Benedict: "There was this huge prank...."
Me: "YES!"
its ironic how hes very calm, reserved, shy, and well spoken in real life, and he plays such ferocious and passionate roles.
Ok, Ben really likes that interviewer! He shakes his hand as if to say, "You're a down/cool guy who let me talk freely and made me feel appreciated and valued without all the gimmicks that some interviewers do or feel they have to do during Press Junkits.

I watched this movie just to watch Benedict.
It makes a pleasant change to hear an actor speak so elequantly. Can't wait for the next season of Sherlock.
I swear Benedict gives THE LONGEST answers and i love it. It's also great when the interviewer doesn't interrupt him and just lets him ramble off all he wants. Bless him.

"always well dressed"
He's sooo cute; when he starts babbling and laughing and ughhh HIS VOICE. so perfect. I love him.
He looks so baddass here - a complete contrast to his personality. ^^
Benedict Cumberbatch played Khan soooo friggin' well! #MyFavoriteTrekVillain!
"I am quite tribal about the people that I care about"...brilliant lines!
He rubs his leg so much and each time I'm like "I could do that for you Benedict..."
The brilliant Benedict Cumberbatch!
You rock!
Very excited to meet you as Dr. Strange!
The way when he's impersonates everyone he mentions =) and he does the voices so perfectly!
He made everyone else act better. Great acting, great story, fantastic filming. Loved it.
words can't describe how much I love simply everything about this man
He is talented .
I'm always stunned by how brilliant and insightful this man is. He seems like a genuinely good guy, and like he'd be very easy to get along with.
omg he's far more intelligent , cute, fun than any actors i know . can.fall in love with him deeper.
He was truly an awe inspiring villain with his calm, cold demeanor and his vicious battle skills.
OMG, what a fantastic interview! I nearly died with laughter over the neutron cream story and Benedict's impression of a gif. The interviewer did a great job with just letting him talk as long as he wanted to, as well. Great job, everyone! :)
I want him to read me bed time stories every night.
He'll yeah!
It's incredible how many little impressions he throws into his storytelling, so brief that you might not catch them initially, and yet so accurate! I've never seen anyone slip in and out of such different personas so quickly.
Benedict is an awesome actor, and really knocked it out of the park as Sherlock. There's no doubt that he's going to be an AMAZING in Star Trek.
Mr. Cumberbatch was an awesome Khan, and an awesome Smaug! Can't wait for Hobbit 3.
Benedict has this ability to make interviewers love hearing him rambling. i dont blame them. I could hear him talking ALL DAY. God, the neutron cream story was hilarious!!! Never gets old!!

This man is awesome.... I could watch that over n over n over n over...
he actually was amazing as (character name removed) and actually in some ways resembles the original. there's a few facial expressions he makes that are quite similar and the delivery of his lines is equally cunning and terrifying. bravo!
In hindsight, Benedict was dropping all kinds of hints, possibly subconsciously, about the role he played in the movie.
Wow...he is such a versatile actor...this is one of the most intelligent yet exciting interview I've seen!
16 minutes and he answered only 4 questions. Wow, he really can tell stories, holy crap, his answers were epics. He makes the most mundane of stories so interesting. He talks alot, and i love it.
He is just charming. Made the movie for me. Hope he's in the next one.
I respect that Benedict really gives thought to the answers. It makes the interview so much more interesting to watch. Clearly a very intelligent actor, despite falling for the NIF prank. Also, his voice...
I am a BenAddict. I could look at him and hear him speak all day long.
Hope to meet him someday. ♥️
For me, the reason he was SO great was that his Khan was NOT pure evil, but was ultimately human, but had been twisted by events and things done to him.

I'm not even listening to what he's saying, fucking hell, just to his voice! Jesus!
15:00 GOSH !!! I love that smile and those moves
That look when he's not quite smiling but he's not being serious. He is the only person I have seen (so far) that can do that.
Benedict is so brilliant, so intelligent, you can tell it just from watching him talk.
"not like another character that I play" - referring to Sherlock :p :)
Damn he's so articulate.
Genuinely a great actor proud to be British! Really embodies a character everything you see him in its like a completely different person, not like Tom cruise or mark wahlberg where they just play themselves in everything

Did he just call a gif a 'slightly-move-thingy'
Good god man, he's an actor not a computer scientist!
Corey Doyle I think it's adorable
Me too haha
I love how Benedict respects us as Trekkies :') Makes me love him a lot more, as a Trekkie and a sherlockian and a cumberbabe i freaking love him :'D
I sometimes believe Benedict Cumberbatch can explain everything that is happening logically and offering a way to solve the problems .
He is catching things on the spot . . .

I think that Benedict Is probably the most collest and popular actor ( 2010 - 2022 )......…like James Dean?......
He is soooo sexy with dark hair :3333
9:09: "I enjoy getting my bad on."
DAMN.
This makes me want to work on my vocabulary.
omg yes!
Couldn't agree with you more. This guy is beyond amazing.
I'm actually dying because sherloch ep3 comes out tomorrow
I realized I'm obsessed when he started talking about the "funniest thing" and I was like "oh, he's gonna talk about the neutron cream!"
So in love with this brilliant, sophisticated, gorgeous man! His looks, his voice, his whole demeanor is so appealing!
This man has a brain of philosopher and yet he elects to be an actor.. Wow.
i just play his videos just to listen to his voice even tho im tuned out n sometimes not listening to what he is saying.. but it feels good whenever he speaks. His words are beautiful while his voice is magnetic.
Does the DVD come with a Cumberbatch?
What a beautiful face..like the dragon (smaug) he plays
Benedict's voice is just superb to go with his character in the movie. Thanks much!
Seen the movie tonight - he was so amazing in the film! Brilliant movie!
his little bye-bye at the end is too cute for me to handle
I could've sworn I was wearing pants when I started this video.
...I think his voice melted them off.
Star Wars and Star Trek did have a big influence on our gadgets and gizmos today.
Oh my god, he's so modest.
the "Goodbye" at the end
This man is perfect
He got me with "Starters for 10". And I got addicted to his work. For ever and always. And I believe in Sherlock ;-) What a gorgeous man.
omg, when he said "im feircy defensive about the people I love" my heart just melted
He's so likeable! Just absolutely charming. And that voice and those cheekbones, my word
My God ! I never seen an actor that speak at such an elevate level with so ease . I' am surprised .
I'm wearing headphones right now and Benedict's voice is just very unique and I love it!
SIXTEEN MINUTES OF BENEDICT I HAVENT YET SEEN??? amazing
Benedict is one actor I have seen take on a person I dislike to so much than he has me falling in love with a perfect Gentleman. I was a Trekkie of the 80's actually late 70's, Benedict has given me excitement once again to enjoy a Movie. Thank you!

My vocabulary improves just by listening to benedicts interviews, putting enigmatic on my list
2am on youtube and just wanna cry over this mans perfectness
Whoa! You just blew my mind. I am BEGGING for Thrawn to be included in the new films & BC would be absolutlely PERFECT for the role.
Quite possibly my new favourite character. Well done, Cumberbatch. Well done.
Benedict gives exceptional answers for having to answer the same questions over and over again.
'The internet is a breeding ground for the most crazy and inventive of stuff'
Truer words have never been spoken.
Been a fan of Benedict since way back, before Sherlock, before STID. He is an amazing actor.
he is so smart and well versed, it makes me want to cry
i just love listening to him talk... so wise
I love benedict cumberbatch so much! I hope he'll has a coneback in the next movies !
the little 'bye bye' he sneaks in at the end is just the cutest thing
I don't mind how much he was talking, it is an *interview* after all, not to mention his very first kind of Hollywood franchise film; of course he's very excited and chatty about it. Loved his impressions too, they were spot on.
