No, Mike is not a saint, far from it. In fact, he's one of the most repulsive characters I've ever seen on TV serious. Like Glorianna Pionati here below in the comments-section, I also keep watching because the stories are great, and if I may add - because of the rest of this excellent good drama and performance's components. Thanks a lot for uploading.
That's why I love British Crime dramas, could you imagine those female detectives, in their high heels, skin tight clothing, perfect hair and makeup, running through a field and body checking the suspect to the ground lol. All they have to do is pull out their guns and shout "police" whilst simultaneously pouting and tossing their hair. 😂
I must say. THIS is why I despise absolutely 50 shades of grey. Absolutely despise that stuff. The popularity of it, the clear sexual fantasizing behind it by millions of people , mostly women is telling and what it reveals is nothing short of the willingness to do or consort with murder for love. The submission is as sordid as the end of it. “ I did whatever he told me to do because I love him, I love him, I love him....” and in case you think I’m hating either gender, Just change the pronouns - same result. It’s the result I hate. The result. It’s not love, it’s idolatry. 😥 I might need to take a break from LaPlante. This binge watching is Wearing me out!
They should take police like Mike and put them to sleep for 6-8 hours and wake them up again, in the office to start a new day He is great on duty, but awful off-duty.
The funny thing is Mike is a total wimp, he acts aggressive and threatens everyone, but he tried it with pat's ex boyfriend and he got dealt with, he's short And skinny
It always makes me laugh when they have him as a romantic lead! What woman would fall for him, a scrawny little ferret of a man with no redeeming features.Butbi dislike the actor too, he only ever pays these parts, I suspect he is a bit like this.
@@lynneceegee8726 Ever heard of Serge Gainsbourg, French composer/musician? If you check him out, he doesn't really look, or looked for he died in 1991, like God's gift to women. And yet, he bedded a lot of beautiful women including Brigitte Bardot. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say.
Amusing reading 100's of comments on how everyone dislikes Mike. Looks like I'm the only 1 who likes him? His character in this is fantastic! He sure plays the part brilliantly! As for Pat, I too miss her, that Roisin is a real piece of Sh!t! Here's a question: I was told by my local cops, if anyone broke into my house, I was allowed to defend myself and my family even if it meant I stabbed them with a knife. So why after the hell that psycho in previous series put Mike, his family and Pat through was it seen to be wrong what Mike did to defend himself and family?
Mike, a Detective, Inspector, shots someone menacing stalker banging on Pat's door - his ex wife's boyfriend (how cozy), who attackes him with a broken bottle, clearly self defense. Illegal gun explained, can't see him being tried. and some detective accuses him of getting away with murder, how silly. Police always get 1st credibility
You obviously missed the scene where Pat recalls seeing & hearing him taking the safety off the gun that he claims he thought was not a “real” gun. Yes it was self defense, but he lied in the witness box & said the gun just went off due to heavy pressure when the guy came at him. He said he didn’t intentionally release the safety & used an illegal weapon to kill!
Definitevly! Whatever you think of Mike, he is the boss, not just because he is dominant as a character and selfconfident but because he is better, better than Roisin in his job. He doesn't need to tell people he is in charge, it is obviusly. And she gets on my nerve.

Mike Walker is the one you should dislike. He’s such a nasty piece of work,ma bully of the worst kind. He’s also a user too, very shallow feelings and loyalties.
There was a case in US where a couple emplyef a nanny, ,he wife was an Air Hostess. He killed his wife and used a woof chipper to dispose of her body (horrific) in order for him to be with his new lover, the nanny.

It's part of Mike's character to smoke so much, I think she even mentions it in her books, in a later series, he is trying to give up and is wearing patches which was quite funny!!

Roisin should’ve kept that fringe, it suits her. Charles Dance was great in this! Thanks!
