while can trigger multiple times, it has to be a non-human attacking to trigger then find a human creature, it will be tough to brew with it unless you have a token outlet to pump out non-human creatures to swing with or some janky deal like that, krenko comes to mind as a potential outlet but we will see, lot of wild brews pop up seemingly out of nowhere some times, either that or legion war boss. I think it will be gross in pioneer and may end up banned pretty fast if it can be abused like it begs to be

I like the comic book style personally, but not for every card. Some of them are way too much and overpower the card completely, while some just take the same scene, change where the camera is pointing and up the colours to a million. Those triomes for example look badass!
Triome lands are amazing for commander. I'm super stoked and hope they finish the cycle with the other 5, 3 colored lands, as well. The great part is that they have the land type name in them, so you can get these with things like Farseek.
Splendid ultimatum is a sleeper for sure just from the non-hype for the card, but it's easily one of the best of the cycle specifically for standard. It's in colours that are heavily played already in fires of invention decks, does things that you generally like (boost your life total so you don't die, removes a problematic permanent, and refills your hand). So I think it'll see heavy play in standard after a short delay at the start when people are theory crafting.
I'd agree with Joey, for it to work the ability would have to say something like, "non-land cards in your hand gain flash" which gives the keyword to the cards instead of modifying timing rules by allowing cards to be cast "as though they had flash"
go infinite mana with something like spectral sailor, draw infinite cards, while you have Jace wielder of mystery's. thats basically all my decks and my friends hate me for it.
I really do like the new set. I think the porcuparrot could combine with a Torbran to combo for some serious damage. The Triomes also very cool. I really like Grixis colors for playing but I will definitely have to try out some other builds because Ikoria seems to have some really awesome cards to mess around with.

I am pretty upset with the lack of Bant cards. I’m seeing all of these different tri color cards and ultimatums but Bant can’t even get a tricycle land.

kinnan commander deck seems pretty good if you get some mana ramp and big green creatures and krakens n stuff in blue i don’t know but it seems really cool

The wackiest thing I've seen is Rielle with Song of Creation. Discard your hand and stack Rielle after Song so that you draw that many cards. Each spell draws 2 and you can play extra lands. You'll burn through your deck REALLY quickly and play Jace to win with an empty library.
Splendid Ultimatum I also thought that it was the weaker of the ones spoiled so far. But, I was looking at it trough EDH eyes. I know it is heavy costed for standard, but in any 2 player game this can make a difference of 10 lifes between you and your opponent and drawing 5 cards is strong. Maybe in a Standard Jeskai control deck?
If you put 5 in X of Sphynx Revelation it cost you 1 more mana than Splendid Ultimatum and you would not get the extra 5 damages. Sphynx was an instant tho and was a standard staple. But, the comparison I think can help illustrate how Splendid could be a control finisher in Standard.
to truly go infinite with basalt monolith and Kinnan, you'll need something like gemstone array, then you get colored mana.... but given that, you could get the same result on turn 1 with, I don't know, ancient tomb, grim monolith, 2 lotus petals, power artifact, and gemstone array... all on turn one too, and if we are talking about combos not in standard, and if you don't get kicked out of your playgroup for doing this into privileged position into mirrormade

It’s just weak. Mutate is insanely lame and it didn’t give us any commander goodies except for the land cycle and maybe the ozolith. Picking up singles makes a whole lot more sense.

I think I will try dimir flash first. Think we have enough power there even without ambusher. I think the new flash 5/4 shark is a good replacement for frilled mystic and it gets cheaper with the new dimir 2/2 two drop. Same as lochmere serpent. Can’t wait to try it out!
I believe Winota triggers on each non-human you attack with, so if you attacked with 3 non-humans, you potentially get 3 humans.

Those tri-lands will be EDH staples for sure.

You can stack mutations. Every time you do, it triggers every on mutate ability in the stack.

Leyline and Vivien effectively give the requisite cards in your hand flash. I believe it should work with the dimir card.

To be fair, a six card infinite combo is semi balanced, as it is hard to attain. Much less broken than a two card infinite combo.

already building competitive Kinnan commander. Card is SO GOOD but not overwhelming because lacks other color identities to make it overpowered.

Emrakul the aeons torn is a cast trigger not an etb trigger so it doesn't work.
