First time here, and I'm pleased with this review! I'd been on the fence about getting one until I watched this. I'd prefer the black colour I think, but in any case, brilliant review. Will be back to watch more! Cheers!
There's nothing fantastic about those very low quality tuning machines, but they will fit slightly better Grover machines. The electronics are also cheap. small body pots, generic Chinese pickup. The worst part is that this bass is a serious neck-diver. I've had two of these, and there are things I like: nice fretwork with binding, not too heavy, easy to modify and it looks cool. If they had made it a short scale, it would be even better, and maybe not neck dive as readily.
I love orange amps but I'm not sure who this bass is for. You can get infinitely better basses from Squier for the same money. They should have built these with better electronics and hardware and priced them accordingly. It's not like beginners are rushing out to get this anyway.
Having reviewed one of these, I don't think the electronics and hardware were the weak point of this bass. The ergonomics were clearly not considered and that's what makes it bad. A bass that's not easy to play isn't good for anyone unless you're really sold on the looks.

Did you end up getting the O Bass? And did you end up showing it your Oh face?
