I built this kit a few months ago, came out really well, then I realized I had inadvertently used the wrong gray for the underside 😯 and did not catch it until after the decals….ah well, it still looks great and an enjoyable build. Yours came out nicely.
It's been many decades since I've built an Airfix kit. My memory is that the fit and details were not the best. I've seen a few builds of new Airfix tooling and the fit and builds look great. You did a great job on this kit! Thanks for sharing.
I wouldn't call them "the best" but i'd certainly include them among the top brands - I'm talking about the new tool releases. The old releases left much to be desired for certain but today's models are great... Maybe you should give it another try. Thank you for watching :)
I LOVE the use of a microwave dish and its "undercarriage" 😄 as a turntable, along with that wonderful adjustable painting rig. Where did that come from?

And Allied aircraft had invasion stripes on the wings as well as the fuselage.
According to the painting schemes, this particular plane had stripes only on the fuselage.
