It says a lot when a guitarist can have these many memorable solos in a carreer. If I remember correctly he has more than 30 great solos including the ones outside of Journey.
@@LKtube1Rolling Stone magazine didn't even include him in the Top 250 Guitarists! He is very underrated. Never really included in a top 20 of all time (even though for me he is easily in the top 10)...
Great job Man Neil Schon is one of the greats, and little is he talked about. Especially in the early years so much feeling in his playing it's incredible. I never heard someone play with so much feeling and every song he plays his lead breaks fit so well.
Yes, Steve Lukather is amazing. His rhythm guitar work is truly incredible as well. He has such a wonderful way of playing melodic phrases without clashing with the multiple keyboard parts in most of their music.
What I love most about Ignacio's guitar presentations is unlike so many out there by others, he doesn't feel the need to look at the camera and smile and all that other nonsense. These solos are serious business and I really love that he's focused like a laser on his music and the guitar and not showing off to the camera with his eyes and smile. The ones that do that (including vocal coaches and their singers) are cheesy and a complete distraction. It's incredible that Ignacio can play all those leads and not look at the feet board. Mind boggling! Such a brilliant player! That being said, TRIAL BY FIRE is a beast of an album and my all time favorite Journey album.
I love, love, love this video. When I clicked on it and immediately heard those sweet licks from Ask the Lonely, it made me really excited to see what would come after. I also really appreciated hearing the whole outro to Send Her My Love. Great choices and very well played!
@@alfredoriverarodriguez2964 Maybe from Santana or people in the industry that know about him but I rarely hear anyone online talk about him. In what top ''guitar'' player list is he in? Almost never see him mentioned there.
@@alexsuperpower1 Maybe you're correct, maybe he doesn't headline modern and contemporary guitar players rankings,, but people (nowadays players) are just dumb, they measure all other guitar players against EVH, Vai, Yngwie, Andy James and other "shredders". If you're old enough, and a true rock fan, you should know that he's not an underrated player. Was obsssesed with Journey throughout my teens. None stop listened to them, just about every song from the first album to even some of the newer stuff. Fantastic musicians to say the least. Untouchable in the 80s. Neal is a magician of melody and taste... Find it hard to listen to them these days makes me feel a bit overwhelmed honestly 😂 much easier times back then, can't thank them enough for the music and memories would love to have experienced them live back in the day. Great job with the covers mate, well done!
What i love about journey songs is for sure Perry s voice but also guitare riffs of shon and especialy that a lot of those finish with 🎸 solos. Thanks for the tribute, great cover
This is spectacular! U nailed SO much of the nuance, vibe, and style that makes Neal as great as he is...and did it all note for note.....SO much here to learn and perfect as you have. Absolutely incredible job! :)
Awesome he has so many more of the lights. That’s one of my favorite very bluesy patiently bunch of songs off of departure. Bunch of stuff here in the early stuff and Neil is the guy Neil is the guy good playing
Amazing tribute. As a guitarist I've always appreciated Neal's soulful and melodic style. I've practiced a few of these classic solos over the years, thank you for bringing them all to life.
You are amazing! I've watched your Bon Jovi games, and now I've watched journey! Favorite bands. I can't even imagine how much work and time you have invested to repeat these beautiful solos in such detail, identically and colorfully! Thank you for the good mood! Subscribe!)
AMAZING Nacho and amazing Neal!!! I'd love to see (and hear) the same job with the first 2 great albums from Aldo Nova (soulful solos great harmonies and melodies)
Santana knew that NS had something good, that’s why he took him in as guitarist at that young age.... And as the guitarist who actually made this video, excellent playing.....
Well done! You capture one of the things, beyond feel, accuracy, and bursts of awesome speed that makes you go, "what?" You are making the solos sound full of spontaneous abandon, like he does. I can't imagine why anyone would vote your video down.

How ‘bout “Of a Lifetime”, or “Still They Ride”? “Winds of March” deserves mention, as does “Line of Fire”, “Topaz” and so many others.. Regardless, you’re a damn good player, you’ve got stellar chops!
To learn all these solos and play the so perfectly is amazing. You can play any style. I bet you could step if for any rock band and they wouldn’t miss a beat. Enjoyed it very much.
Great job !!! Neal Schon is with Steve Lukather and Tom Scholz the best rock (and not just rock) guitar player of all times and you play with the same intensity and emotion.....one minute of a Neal solo worth the entire catalogue of people like Vai...Malmsteen and Petrucci.
My apologies for putting the wrong cover for Anyway You Want It (Departure) and Stone In Love (Escape)
Not a problem since you nailed the solos! Thanks for making these videos, they’re awesome!

Don't forget Greg Rolley
yup.
Arnel was very good until he started losing his voice in 2014
That's how I feel about GNR. You ask me, Slash's guitar was the lead singer
who’s crying now is one of the best solo ever written, pure melody
I agree. Always loved it because of the beautiful melody. That's just perfect arrangement from Neil.
Don't Stop Believin' is one of the best solo ever
Neil Schon is a excellent guitar player ... probably underrated. Thanks
The way Schon's playing and Perry's singing complimented each other was out of the world. They gave us some of the best music ever.
Neal’s solos are hardly ever about flash and speed. There’s a reason you can hum his solos. To me, he’s the master of the melodic style. All feel.
He gave you just enough speed to let you know he could shred, but yes, it was always about the melody the most.
He was no slouch either though. He did play for the song. A lesson for most guys I’d say.
Well said.
That’s why I like those solos…you can sink your teeth in them…
you go to HSAS or Hardline if you want the shred

Neal Schon has been my favorite guitarist since the early '80s. Also, I've never seen anyone do the solo for World Gone Wild.
