Very nice build! May have power to hit 200mph, but the aero of the 80's c3 will lift and get very sketchy above 130. To hit 200 would need serious front end splitter work to keep it planted. Not taking away form the build at all 10 out of 10! Sounds great.

Sweet Ride 1 question for you, what temperature does the car run at on a hot day sitting in traffic, I dont have what you have to cool mine but I need to find something to keep it from running into 200 please advise.

I went the same exact route as you but with a 72 corvette and merlin aluminum block and heads

It towers over that scary 540 Corvette
So your saying the 07 Z06 out performs it ? The Z06 is an all around better car but 541 Cid has to be a huge torque monster

The impressive power of 541 big block can NEVER be matched by any NA 427
541 had GOD power every and the chassis of c3 corvettes are garbage NO matter what you do to it
Even with an all aluminum 541 motor and tons of after market products it was unsafe and twitchy
C6Z06 has a great chassis feel and control and it is too bad GM didn't put a monster cubic inch in a zo6 chassis
541 had 723 hp and 687 tq on flywheel with
93 pump gas

I used hooker headers 2 1/4 primeries with 4 inch collectors and sidepipe open headers ( all chrome)i think it cost 1600.00 all together
I must warn you it is an over kill combo with such short wheel base car
