Paul tends to get emotional when he sings this song. He wrote in it 1982, and I heard that for years he couldn't perform it. The NYC Citi Field opening night concert got him choked up when he sang it - it's on DVD. The next night in Seattle from this, he actually flubbed the words and stopped and restarted. You don't see that very often - most singers would just keep going, hope nobody noticed. But I don't think he could do that with this song. Sort of like Adele for the George Michael tribute.
