Always so inspiring Ali. Excited to get my December Daily organized and set up again this year. It's one of my great Joys of the holiday season. It's so fun to unpack my past DDs and place them in a basket to reflect on the past years and excitement as the kids grow and change.
The prep work is really great and such an awesome setup...Excited to see how the month unfolds in you dec. daily...I want to do one but thinking I'd forget to take a picture or pictures daily and document those days, daily!!! Tfs the process you get started with...
For the first time in the 32 years my husband and I have been together, he will be home the entire month. I'm jumping in to December Daily to document this special year. Ali I was wondering what software I needed at a minimum to be able to use your digital products to write our stories. Also, I believe last year you used these Avery tabs to add full spread photos to your book without having to use a page protector. I just wanted to know what that product was or am I making it up that you used something like that? Hehe
Hi - I recommend Photoshop Elements (you can do some things with Word but for the most benefit I'd go with Elements). Avery Tabs are the small plastic pieces that go along the edge of a page (aliedwards.com/shop/index-tabs-writable-inserts) - you might be thinking of plastic sheets from Grafix (to create a transparent page)?

There are a bunch of "getting ready" type of posts throughout the years. I generally prep some pages in advance and then during the month I focus on one story per day. You can see how I set up my album in 2016 here: aliedwards.com/2016/10/december-daily-2016-foundation-pages. I also have a Storytelling With December Daily® workshop that will be live on November 1 that is a great deep-dive into the project :).

I don't always include a photo - some days I just include a story.
