The rusks get really old really fast, otherwise, these MREs are really solid. While the mains are all a variation of porridge/stew, they're still delicious.
As for the points in the video - mixing the almonds with the chocolate is a good idea. People also mix in the rusks for compactness and ease of consumption. The spoon in newer MREs, like the one in the video is new and decent, what you've heard about the spoon is about the old one, which used to be the most basic disposable spoon you'd get in dining sets from a shop, those were indeed awful. Finally, the fuel tablets come in very handy for heating up the hot drinks or starting a campfire when outdoors.

Very cool Jerms. I love these Lith rations, especially the chocolate. I just wish the nuts were roasted and salted. You started with what I talked about, LOL. I type as I watch. I was not expecting this? This is different. We all have troubles with our knives at time. You are not alone friend. The Rusk is possibly carraway seed, which they use quite often? The jams, honey, tea, coffee are all good. I will recommend this type of ration, for anyone interested asking what to try, when looking for an inexpensive, foreign ration. These are always solid, even if the main does not always look pretty. They always taste good however. Again, the improvised candy bar, I am impressed with. I wish I had thought of it. Lithuanian rations were the first I bought in this hobby. Big bang for the buck. Under $10USD and zero customs backlash.
