@@goober9983nah man He worked hard for it, he used to own a small boat in the past he sold that got another one, sold his truck and Camper when he decided to live in a house.
@@sandeshwaswani6 did he ever say how much he sold the truck in camper for. Would love to see a breakdown of what it cost for two years to own those two expensive vehicles.
I traded in an older Lance camper for a 2018 Bigfoot 25C10.4, factory order. Still love it six years later, especially the rear kitchen/rear dinette and dry bath configuration. You can back up to a lake or river and have a 180 degree panoramic view sitting at the dinette. And there is nothing better than a seamless fiberglass-molded roof for durability. I hauled my previous Lance on a nearly identical GMC version of the truck shown in this video. Had to move up to a dually though to haul the Bigfoot. I sure do miss your truck camping videos with the Arctic Fox.
I have a Bigfoot 10.6 and it’s a 05 and rides on a white Dodge 3500 dullay long bed diesel 4 door cab and it handles the camper like a dream and I just love this set up .
It’s great to see you reviewing Truck Campers again Taylor. You Sir, created the very best travel videos of anyone back when I discovered your work in 2018 (or early 2019). Your Drone footage was top notch. Thanks for the work that you do for the traveling community. The video of the Arctic Fox, one of a kind, 3 slide truck camper was great and I thought it was remarkable unit in my opinion. We own a 2018 Northwood Wolf Creek 850 and we feel that the build quality, standard features, and options were superior to all the other manufacturers in that weight range. Due to storm damage we replaced our roof with Flex Armor and that’s proven to be a great benefit. Thanks again Taylor and I’m wishing you the best in life.
I own a truck camper with a slide right now (Adventurer 910db) but that is only because I sleep my family of 5 in it. When the kids are all gone, I either want 1) Arctic Fox 865 or 2) Bigfoot or 3) Northern Light. POSSIBLY consider Adventurer 901. None of those have slides. I really like the idea of a no-slide camper in general.
Slides just mean another air/water leak, rats and bugs come in under the floor and how about a snake or two, pull out problems etc. Sold my 40 footer with 2 slides.
Taylor great to see you back. I followed your channel for several years. I actually had a 2009 Bigfoot for 12 years. Absolutely loved it. Sold it for a motor home. Soldthe motor home now. I'm thinking about another Bigfoot. Super solid, no issues loved it.
Really good to see your videos. Long time fans of the Artic Fox vlogs. Your videos were a family night favorite for our house. So much of your life and it was great to share it with us. We watched with anticipation to see you back in a truck camper some day. We made the switch from a Lance 950 I believe to our present Artic Fox 1150.
Loved your truck dwelling videos. We've had an Arctic Fox 22g since 2015 and absolutely love it! Had very minor issues - well constructed very comfy! We are boon dockers and shy from campgrounds so this is our perfect set up. This camper looks good but I absolutely loved your rig. It was made for the cold! Great to see you back!
Oh yeah I could definitely live in that and it’s my dream to get out of this villa and into a RV. I would say though I can’t wait for the video of the camper you showed at the end! I think that’s more like my dream one! 😂
I have a 1985 Bigfoot c9.5 Deluxe model. Taylor's Arctic Fox layout copies the same layout truck campers have had for years before they even had slides. The camper is forty years old as built and sold in 1984 as next years model as is and was common. It still had every thing original and only oven, water pump, some lights and jacks weren't working when I picked it up. (Plus it wouldn't fit into a long box as it was 4" too wide originally.) Yes, they are built well. It was a little too original; everything original. I replaced a bunch of maintenance items like the fire extinguisher, co2 and smoke monitor, light bulbs to LEDs, battery to lithium, electric charging panel to lithium, a new furnace fan, bathroom vent with fan, stove fan blades, propane tanks, hydraulic jack o-rings, curtains and cushions.
Nice to see some camper content again! I found your channel when I got my Arctic Fox camper, I wanted a Northern Lite or Bigfoot, but they are hard to find for a good price! (Under $10,000)
You know Taylor, these campers are good but they can leak. When they do, because of enclosed underbelly it's REALLY hard to see the damage. FYI, but excellent campers. Great video, thanks for sharing,
Great video Taylor love seeing inside these truck campers. Really any campers for that matter. Those look extremely well-made I see why they cost so much a lot goes into them. I love that they are two piece camper. I bet they are extremely dependable.
Yes, I have had a Bigfoot camper. Loved my Bigfoot camper, but if you’ve never owned one, they are very heavy and not really meant for off-road use unless you build your vehicle specifically to haul the weight
Seams: 1984 Bigfoot Camper owner here. "alkyd fibered roof coating" is what to search for roof seam sealer. Sure, those seams should be inspected regularly, but the Bigfoots where they use the alkyd fibered coating don't break down like caulking. My campers seams were only cut to redo the window seals and cap windows and replace roof vents and fans. The roof accessories perimeters are sealed pretty much the life of camper. Plas-t-cote fibered alkyd was the old name of the product in case you have trouble finding it. Don't buy the rubber roof stuff or something else. You want the stuff for fiberglass and aluminum roofs. It makes me more happy with an old aluminum roof too as I could still use this stuff.
Great. video but do one on Northern Lite 10.2. I have been living in one full time for two years now and put it through quite a bit and think its one of the best out there.
Back when I first found your channel, I had an Arctic Fox 811. I sold it in 2020 and upgraded to a 992. Love my Arctic Fox truck campers, but Bigfoot and Northern Lite are very nice. They are built like a boat - two fiberglass pieces attached together.
I like the Big Foot and NorthernLite however, Artic Fox is still the best for living full time. The capacities are greater and the slide makes a big difference. It's good to see you Taylor.
I have an identical Big Foot now 15 years old. It is better than Northern Lite I had before. I wish they would FINALLY insulate and modernize the obsolete hatch above the bed. Also the roof could be stronger, the beams start to show edges through the ceiling and the outside develops hairline cracks around the roof edge. The door never had good seal and lets dust in.
Nice, I loved your Arctic Fox... almost bought one because of your videos, lots of head room in the sleeping area and cozy wood interior. Have you checked out Lance theolder campers are so nice, real wood interior. Keep making your videos, you left for awhile. God bless
I owned the heaviest Bigfoot and set it on my F350 dually. Terrific camper..when parked. I hated the weight of the unit and the rock and roll while moving. Cornering scared the bejesus out of me. Now I’ve got a truck topper in mind, more 0f a bug out vehicle, where you’d hardly know you were carrying it.
I actually bought an arctic fox 865 a few years back. His take is the exact same as mine. I now own a northern lite 9-6. Better build quality/fit&finish, but the arctic fox just felt more homey and had more space. You sacrifice that with the weight though. I'm about 700lbs lighter fully loaded in the NL
You should put up the figures of what it cost you to buy the truck and the camper. And then when you sold them what it cost you to own these rigs for two years. You did save two years of rent, and the adventure was priceless.
Great video, Taylor! My first TC was a Bigfoot, I loved it but I traded it for an AF865 because at 6'5 I needed the extra headroom and the bigger bathroom space
I agree with the viewer like to See you in a northern lite also. ..... for that matter, try a lance and Cyrus too Soon many choices hard to pick best one

Good job with the video. I've been looking for someone to showcase exactly. The camper you're showing. It's the one on my wish list. I'm just curious about one thing did the Canadian government take your shotgun 🤔
Good luck driving in Pennsylvania, with an overhang over the truck cab, that long. If you pull up to the stop line, you can’t see the traffic lights. And if you stop back where you can see the lights, you’re too far back to trip the light! Also hard to see low hanging branches on urban roads.
@@samr.6182 And get rid of the first vehicle I ever bought? No way. (1973 K20 with Deluxe Camper Special pkg, Cheyenne Super) I also lived my truck camper for 2 years, back when you could pull off the side of the road and no one bother you. Except the only luxuries I had was a Pioneer Kp500, and an evaporator. No TV, NO AC, no generator. Only dual batteries that came with the truck. Camper set up for 12 volt.
