The Froli system is great. Your sheets will get stuck on them but, if you cover them with something like Polyester Cargo Netting Utility Fabric from Joann, your sheets won’t get stuck.
We installed the same units but we drilled thru upper cabinet on both sides to get wires to power for phones and smart watches . We added a small Jackery on second side in upper cabinet to have power for that basket shelf. Super easy to do and so worth it 😊👍

The new beds are fantastic. I’m sure you’re going to love it. Being able to get up during the night with out disturbing the other person. Great job. Almost like getting a new van.
Wow, I’m really surprised at how well your upgrades came out. That twin bed system was a stroke of genius. I hope you’re really enjoying all of your updates.
If y'all want a cheaper alternative to the fan, even though it is a plug-in and would be less invasive if stored away when not in use than mounted, since it's sizeable, the Honeywell turbo, found at Target, it's an incredibly effective fan. And, the one plus to it being a plug-in is that you could use it in other places, even the garage when you're working on things.
I love this video. Made me happy that Bob is human and had to redo the base because he didn’t read the instructions completely. I, unfortunately, do that way too often.
Did you guys think about painting the plywood with a mold resistent paint? Bob you are so nice doing your side first. I would have done just the opposite.
We are having a van built as we speak. We originally were going with a bed like yours. Then we rented a Thor to try out. It had the twin beds and we liked them. We also didn't want to lose the garage area. We went with a C shape. Best of both worlds. The narrowist part is at your feet and shouldn't be a problem
If you need front window covers, I recommend the Wanderful window covers. We use them in our Sprinter and they are the best! Block heat, cold and light! So easy to use. They are holding up very well.
I'm glad I used your link to save a few bucks on these. Super easy install since I paid attention to the triangle orientation 😂. Made a big difference in comfort, and I'm sure it will help prevent any mold issues in the HUMID southeast. Blessings!
My froli is all the same color tan and doesn’t have the base pieces. Just stapled to the plywood. Your system looks wayyy more advanced than the one that came with my 23’ sequence. I guess you would call your van a Tellaro 20A/L now.
My wife and I sleep much better with the twin beds in our RV; tossing and turning, along with midnight pee breaks disrupts a sound sleep for sure. I don’t know if our guys have already done this, but putting ceramic UV window film on the front window will block a lot of the heat. I also applied that white perforated film used on storefront windows, to reflect the sun on our rear door windows. We live in the Vegas area so experience the extreme heat similar to you two. I put one of those Anything Keeper drawers under the cabinet of my cargo trailer conversion, works great. I also put a Ram-X mount bar on the wall and put an iPad mini holder on the bar, so I can watch the iPad while lazing.
Those upgrades are awesome. We love our twin bed setup. It makes getting up so much easier. You both are so resourceful. Making lemonade out of a lemon!
Great job on keeping what you have for now. It is really easy to go get another rv, instead of fixing up your van. We are getting fans that are rechargeable. Congrats!
Love the upgrades! First addition I bought 3 years ago were the van essentials window coverings. They aren’t cheap, but they work SO well and are so easy!
When i built my van I put that fan in also, it's still working like day one after 3 years, also I've added storage too(also need more!), we also bought from Nightfall Overland some magnetic window coverings(awesome investment). I like that iPad older, great idea! And the idea of dual beds, hmmm you've got me thinking now too, haha...my daughter is getting bigger now so maybe we do same thing like you've done but make "bunk" beds on one side...hmm.

This bed idea was such a GOOD idea!! They updated the Froli sleep system and I'm glad they did. Much better! So happy for you guys. We have the 2 twins and it's so much better. We also installed the little baskets above our beds too. We love them. ❤️ congrats on those beds!
Hello. Just subscribed.. thanks for sharing. I had a Travato for a hot minute.. it had so many things wrong... and it was just too small for full time.. at this time.. I did love the basket deal that you installed. The Travato had it.. super functional. I will say you two a little crazy to be out working in that heat!!! Again, thanks for sharing. Stay cool.
Love the video and love the upgrades. Super job. I was intrigued by the plastic spring system for the bed. What a cool idea (no pun intended). Since you have what looks like a bare foam mattress, I will be interested to see if placing them further apart from one another will result in the plastic springs digging into the foam. I have just one question...I was surprised you didn't paint or somehow seal the plywood for the bed. I find raw plywood to be a dust magnet/generator. Also, I would be worried about moisture penetration/mold, as you mentioned. Taken all together, it looks like you have an entirely new van. Congratulations and enjoy!
I have nothing to add to the mix except sympathy for working in that heat. I'm halfway between Las Vegas and Bay Area, spending the night in Bakersfield. Had to go down to help my sister who broke her hip and July is not when we love to be traveling in the desert. Miserable heavy truck traffic and the dash air could barely keep up with the heat. When I got to the RV park, I thought I was going to have a heatstroke just going out and hooking up the AC! I can't imagine voluntarily working in this weather, but I guess when you live in the Phoenix area it's what you have to work with. So, sympathy - I'm just recovering from my hot day as I'm watching your video!

Couldn't get them to make something for drivers side rear windows on scope. Got the cab package, sliding door, and rear windows. They are great. Maybe you could get a Vancaskey deal!! Bob that bed system looks great and saved about $160,000!!

I got the Van Essential window covers for the cab of our Ekko. They do a good job keeping out the light and also have some insulation quality. Not sure what y'all use. We love our twin bed set up that we can convert to king size if we want to, you know, for special occasions.
Nice work you two 😀. I like the twin bed setup with the rear bath. It makes a van seem more open. It actually makes your van seem bigger now being able to see a walkway. I like that froli system too. I might have to build a bed in my next vehicle, I hope your discount lasts a while 😊
We found that the fairly nice but not insulated window covers that we got with our Roadtrek were not effective in the heat, so I made Reflectix shades for every window in the van. In the driver, passenger and back door windows I used tiny magnets to keep them in place. For the side back-of-the-van it worked just to make them ever so slightly too big and just stuff them in the window frames. For the slider I had to get creative, because there is no metal in our window frame. I ended up using the black Command strip Velcro fasteners, which blend in with the window frame and can be removed if/when we sell the van. We were shocked at what a difference these shades made for keeping the van cool for our dog, when we have to leave him in the van and for when the van is sitting idle in our driveway in the hot hot sun.
I’m in Mesa and can’t believe you are doing this outside this time of year! ! I live on Main st and drive past all these vans and trailers for sale twice a day and dream of getting one! Love you guys
I think you should trade Mr. Lemon in for a used Pleasureway Ontour 2.2. Pleasureway builds the highest quality class B RVs along with Gretch. The problem with Gretch however is that they only build on the trouble prone Mercedes. I was hoping the new 4 cylinder would fix some of the def and emission problems among others that Mercedes has but that does not appear to be the case. With the Ontour 2.2 you get very comfortable 79 inch twin beds and the largest bathroom in a class B. You also get sturctural integrity that you can't get in a B+. Had a Winnebago B+ and if you drove up on leveling blocks on one side the bathroom door wouldn't close.
love your videos. Man, only a 71" length bed is sooo short. that is only 5' 11', when you add pillow headspace you only have about 5'9" of length. thats the challenge with with class b vans is the bed length, width isn't a problem usually. The winnebago Solis (P and PX) sleep side to side and its a 77".
I'd like the little string of lemons across the back of your camper, I'm still bumming along with my 27 ft prowler travel trailer. I am afraid class B are not in my budget. I named it Tumbleweed.
Waiting for the other upgrades😁 I did the same window coverings & did a similar thing to my bed. Window cover for the slider has been a harder brain teaser for me.
Wow! Mr. Lemon is a fine RV now and I think that he is about due for a name upgrade to match all of his nice upgrades. He has such nice upgrades to equal a fine RV for lots less money so you can still afford to travel in your Arristocrat van now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wife and I couldn’t give up our cuddle time w/each other to make twins work not to mention hearing the horror stories from others about falling out when trying to readjust in the night. ( and yes I’m going below 👇 as every time I hear such stories I can’t help but laugh a bit 😁. As for the shades we love our VanMade products I MUST have total darkness for sleeping which they surely provide not to mention their ability to help keep heat out when needed and/or keep cold out when needed. 😊 But must say wtg Bob on the DIY, well done sir. 👍🏽
It wasn’t an easy decision to give up the cuddle time…but we were so tired of having to get on and off the end to access the main storage. So we will see how long this last 😂 but yes Hillary did almost fall off the first night. We should have gotten the shades a LONG time ago! They are amazing!
Liked watching all of your upgrades. That's something to do without having to buy a new van. One thing nobody ever mentions when it comes to preventing moisture from your body going into the mattress is just using a waterproof mattress pad. Today's modern fabrications are not plasticky feeling at all. In fact I don't even know it's there.
The Froli system is great. Your sheets will get stuck on them but, if you cover them with something like Polyester Cargo Netting Utility Fabric from Joann, your sheets won’t get stuck.

Nice work you two 😀. I like the twin bed setup with the rear bath. It makes a van seem more open. It actually makes your van seem bigger now being able to see a walkway. I like that froli system too. I might have to build a bed in my next vehicle, I hope your discount lasts a while 😊
Agree! It made it feel bigger to us too!
I think I would have turned the over bed storage 90 degrees so I could flip it down toward me when lying in bed. Great upgrades.
Thanks! 😊
Rita it was miserable! As you know! But it’s not going to get better until Oct/nov so we said the heck with it 😂 and just did it!
Thank you for upgrading your window covers. They made me mad everytime I saw them. 😅
Hahaha!!!
Great video! Love the upgrades.
Thanks! 😊
love your videos.
We definitely agree!
I remember you liked the feel of the spring system under the beds in some RVs. Looks interesting!
We did!
Love the one you're with! ❤
❤️
: ) WELL DONE and a reprieve for Mr Lemon :) ENJOY and ALL the BEST ! ! ! Cheers from Upper Left : )
Thanks so much MARTY!!!!😊
Nice work Bob, looks good.
Thanks, Judy!
I'd like the little string of lemons across the back of your camper, I'm still bumming along with my 27 ft prowler travel trailer. I am afraid class B are not in my budget. I named it Tumbleweed.
Very cool name!
Great video!!
Thank you! 😊
We’ve been considering the froli system. Anxious for your review on the comfort!
We really like it! Very comfortable!
Great job! Feels like a new van❣️
It does! Thanks!
Waiting for the other upgrades😁 I did the same window coverings & did a similar thing to my bed. Window cover for the slider has been a harder brain teaser for me.
YEs, We are trying to figure the sliding glass door window still. LOL
@@Vancaskeys I also added the window film for the front & side windows that cuts the AZ Sun/heat. With both the van stays way cooler. 😁
@@mbailey9871 Love this idea!
Wow!
Yes!! agree! 😊❤️
But must say wtg Bob on the DIY, well done sir. 👍🏽
It wasn’t an easy decision to give up the cuddle time…but we were so tired of having to get on and off the end to access the main storage. So we will see how long this last 😂 but yes Hillary did almost fall off the first night. We should have gotten the shades a LONG time ago! They are amazing!
We used to put half the middle in so it was a U shape with the open end on the bathroom side. This gives you more shoulder and arm comfort.
@@laurenmarovich3234 that’s a good idea!
GREAT IDEA! Thanks!
