If you use an inclined plane heaving 30deg's and pulling load of 1000gms. You need to apply just 500gms of force to move it up to the required hight and go on untill you reach the hight, this statement is true when friction is zero. But its true that inclined planes reduce great stress to raise loads. As we have practical examples and proofs, the video is one of the proof.Great work
Thank You! I have a Science test coming up and this video helped me understand what an inclined plane is! I am sure that I am going to pass my test now, Thank you sooooo much!

At 2:08 , angle of inclination is 30 degree OR π/6 radians if we do not consider the friction. At 3:00 , angle of inclination is 44 degrees if we do not consider the friction.
I'm like most blue collar guys and had trouble in some area in school. I have been looking for a video to understand if a 1000lb winch I found could pull up an elk which weighs 600lbs into the back of my truck., Based on this absolutely yes as I'm not lifting that weight so it's reduced in weight. I would have liked if you'd done some math at the end, but the simple blocks and toys are needed for us block heads. Thank you so much!

I would think it a matter of decreasing the angle of the vector of the tension force needed so that the net force is less. The net force on an object while lifting it up =Fn+Fg+Tsin(Θ) so the less the angle than 90 degrees, the less the net force needed to lift it. Second, as long as the object is still in contact with the surface of the ramp, normal force exerted by the surface of the tilted surface would reduce the magnitude of the needed tension force(or applied force anyway)
Hello sir, i am having a doubt with the difference of inclined plane and lever. I get confused in which type of machine it is since it looks very similar. Can you tell me the difference?
