Not sure if it was the characters and the fact that 90% of them seem like hipsters or the story itself but it just didn't grab me so Aiden is definitely better in my opinion. He had a reason for doing what he was doing. In 2 it's just "Hey, let's be hackers!" with the exception of Wrench of course. From the clips I've seen, he's the only interesting character in the game and with a backstory of his own. I can see why they paired him with Aiden in the DLC.
