Building a City in the Desert / Zahid Cat / Saudi Arabia Vlog Ep. 4
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2024
- This is the last episode from the Saudi Arabia trip earlier this year. The last few days were crammed into one episode for maximum viewing enjoyment.
Angel and I headed out to Riyadh to check out the Zahid Caterpillar facility + 3 different job sites.
First, a 10-million-yard earth moving job. Second, A million-yard earth-moving job. Then third, a crushing and mining aggregate site. We got to see a massive fleet of excavators and trucks build out a future city, it was one of the craziest job sites I’ve ever seen!
@ZahidCat is a fantastic @caterpillarinc Dealership and we’re grateful for them having us out to visit them! You can learn more about Zahid at zahidcat.com. #construction #zahidcat #saudiarabia

If you were to tour a Caterpillar Facility, which equipment would you be most excited to see?
Production graders (14m and bigger) big cats (D6 and bigger)
The biggest trackhoes CAT makes 😂
Loaders.... drove a 972 for a while so would like to drive bigger some of those BIG excavators and loaders 😍
Great video!! Are there any engineers or safety guys on them sites?? The quarry could invest is some dust suppression 🤔😂 also Aaron you should visit Hillhead in England for serious quarry show
Any of them would be awesome to tour
Your channel is so underrated man
Thank you very much I appreciate that
Your not wrong 👀
Sass mate
100%. His steel mill tire video randomly popped up in my feed… 🤷♂️🙌
@@brendan7094 wadiyatalkinabeet
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. I just really wish the videos were longer. I could watch this stuff for hours.
thank you sir. We're working on the longer videos I promise
@@AaronWitt Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. I'd appreciate that although I also realize you guys are doing a lot of filming on locations where that may not always be possible. Just keep doing what you're doing. I'm loving it
@@ryanshadders750 yeah it's tricky but we're getting more and more access. Only up from here
@@AaronWitt I am impressed with the current amount of access y'all have. If you are able to get more your channel is going to blow up.
Are u working with Zahid KSA, if yes, do u used CAT Machineries?.
Crazy to see a herd of excavators
The music choices on this episode are phenomenal!!!!
Nice to see real machines without emissions systems
I'm not one to normally comment, but this one was freakin epic!! Those shots in the quarry were just phenomenal!! Please keep up the great work you all are doing, so many of us equipment junkies really look forward to it..Thanks Aaron and all of your great crew.
thank you Paul!
Great edit! I’d love to seen more equipment shots with no music, the sound of pure power moving the earth is the best.
They must change air filters all day long……wow what an inventory
I bet so Ron ! Additionally I bet it’s a radiator nightmare out there with the Dozers . A ton of upkeep . 👍🙏
Nice to see a fleet of excavators with all the paint still on the counterweight. Seems to be rare these days!
Hot climate no water no farms let's build a city, Genius.
lots of oil
Been one of the 5 listeners for a while now but this UA-cam operation here is something else! 🔥
we're figuring it out!
You have missed the most important sites to visit in Saudi Arabia which are the gold mines, it would be a great opportunity to capture the CAT Mining Shovels 6020 & 6030 working side by side with the OHT’s (777 & 775).
At Jac Rijk site ??
@@mohammedalsuhaiby yes
@@wagdieltayeb Do you work for Jac Rijk?? I'm a supplier of theirs
Nice to see a city in beginning stages without destroying a forest, wetland, or other highly wildlife populated area...
Been really digging into all the podcasts you have done and just want to say that I really appreciate all that you’re sharing with people and I really look forward to all the content you guys make. Thank you again!
Thanks for listening and checking out what we do Spencer! I appreciate it big time
Probably one of the best so far..
thanks for watching
This channel needs more subs. Great work. Nothing better then sitting in a machine all day watching 10 min clips while waiting on trucks. 👍
we'll get there! Thanks for watching
Didn’t think the newer dozers would soot, glad they do 😎
No emissions rules over there so they get the cool stuff lol
The huge number of huge new dozers is definitely unusual to see, and then the men going to pray, sooooo different from dirt work in the west. Glad you filmed it all tho
one of your best videos yet
I agree. The videos are great just wish they were longer.
Bless the maintenance crew that takes care of all that yellow iron that’s wild 😳
who blesses?
@@MASTERBUILDER-dd1rg Neckbeard
Holy lol I did think of if one breaks down but didn't think of the repair crew 😆
Yep, the unsung heroes. Imagine having to clean all those air filters. 🙃
keep up the hard work and get it done Mr Aaron ...iam in 60s i wanna see it hopefully finished ...
The first site is for qiddiya project which located in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, qiddiya is an entertainment megaproject which includes: Six Flags, qiddiya F1 circuit, water parks, resorts, housing projects, and over 300 more activities, by 2030 the project expected to be the largest tourism destination with a total area of 334km2.
WOW great vid, thank you.
Spectacular filming and editing and I also agree, very underrated channel
There’s so many megaprojects in my country🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦
Great video your fan from 🇸🇦
I TRULY hope that I can produce content like this one day on my own. hands down EPIC!
thank you Gary!
@@AaronWitt Seriously!
You can and you will.
@@GOLDEN_WAVE Maybe one day
The world is absolutely welcome to visit Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 ❤.
I’m going to recommend you on my first UA-cam video, soon.
Like the heavy equipment action from Gold Rush, but without the fake drama!
The almighty algorithm suggested your Philly concrete pour which was pretty incredible. Now this. Epic channel. Definitely going places. Subscribed
When someone says the cost 💲 don’t Matter just make it happen 😂crazy money 💰
Here at 58k subs. Guarantee this will be millions one day. Keep it up Aaron!
thank you I really appreciate you watching!!
I like the video length!
we're listening!
Sweet footage! I loved watching the slot dozing.
Thanks for watching!
Great cinamatrography. Loved it
This is badass!
Killed the soundtrack on this one
Got some Koyaanisqatsi vibes there, really cool filming and editing, thanks!
Video was extremely well done 👍
Thanks Harry
5:55 that transition tho!
That's insane!
I bet a water truck or two would be greatly appreciated by most of those operators and equipment
Why waste water in the desert? Make no damn sense.
Ocean water is free and can be used to keep the dust down. But I bet they don’t care about the dust bc they all have enclosed cabs.
@@daaneel salt water and machinery mix about as well as oil and water. good way to destroy steel.
It’s not wasting water to save your equipment the radiators, other cooling systems and the air intake is the big one I know there in cabs but the cab has filters to it’s just harder on the equipment when it’s super dusty
@@richpitty Nobody is dumb enough to spray water out on the ground in a desert.
Keep it up! I love the editing and film work.
thanks kyle!
As much as I love these videos, I feel for all these operators 😂 Hyundai came and took photos of one of our new loaders “working” and it couldn’t feel more awkward lol I’m glad he films tho, even tho I wouldn’t wanna be the man operating the equipment. It just gets in my head if someone’s watching like that lol
Yeah we make everyone nervous haha
Great
Missed the blast 😂
Merci beaucoup 👍👍👍
I honestly love the amount that goes into the production of these videos. I don’t see how you don’t have more views and followers
Absolutely crazy to think about
Excavators - The ships of the desert.
Holy shit dude! You need to get this out there, this is fricken awesome!
There's more D11's working on that site alone, than there is working in the entire UK. Would love to see one in action in the metal 😁
UK needs more big iron
I'm sure only Stokey plant hire have D 11,s dozers in the UK, first d10 I had seen was from Stokey in the mid 90,,s on a coal site job in S Wales , awesome stuff to see .
@@andrewrees8749 There was one D11 working on the A14 project a few years back. Doing initial clearance work. That was owned by another contractor. Believe it was sold abroad after that job. I found out after it had gone, sad as that job was not too far from me. Yes Stokey have 1 D11 that's permanently working in a quarry in Staffordshire. Ripping and Dozing rock. I have seen videos of new D11's parked in Finnings depot at Cannock. But never managed to catch one there 😭😭
Dozer cat. 😍
This is most espectacular videos an ever seen from you to much excavators and trucks ever seen Wow
wow how many times a day do they have to change air filters
Echt super Video mein Freund 👍
We have a old cat 225 excavator that was sold brand new at zahid cat and was imported to the us in 1993 it’s a pretty cool old machine we don’t use it much but it has around 35,000 hours
Here are your flowers man💐👏🏽
Keep going
It's funny to see the host in all the proper PPE and then the workers walking around in flip-flops and no PPE.
the way he gobbled it
I wouldn't mind going to this job at all
They need some 793 haul trucks and some 994 loaders or a shovel
That’s what I’m saying to many little hoes get some big toys!
Awesome video! You should really contact the iron ore mines in northern Minnesota. I don’t know if they would allow you to film or even come on property but if they did it would definitely be up your ally. Lots of massive equipment
They have gotten some bigger dozers.
I do wonder why the prefer "regular" construction trucs (Mercedes Atego et al) to large-scale haul trucks at the earthmoving site. Probably price and availability of both machines and spare parts as well as ease of maintainance..
Middle Eastern construction sites are no jokes
Ah yes lets build ANOTHER city in the desert. Sure that will go well.
"Subbed" 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 love the content. That's gotta be sick in person 👍🏾
Thank you!!
Mate you need to come to Australia and see the stuff we do our here
Been there seen a thing or two, none like china or middle east
👍
the best thing would be to work there
I love watching your sub count skyrocket
only up from here!
@@AaronWitt indeed. Best of luck bro.
Beautyful footage
"Here comes destroyer D10" aka G.Luca
I’ve followed you for quiet awhile now but one thing I think is missed is the maintenance facility required to service and repair all of this equipment. Will any of your clients let you show off their shop? Great video btw
we have a video featuring a shop soon! I appreciate you following along!
Hey bro you came to my job yesterday in Ny. Petillo site I was running D9. How do I get a build Witt sticker and gear?
nice we got some good shots of you. We're working on revamping our store now
You filmed the man and want to charge him?? Send him that gear for free buddy
dude how does your stomach handle all this travel im jealous
It ain’t easy but I’m young haha
Nice to see those old D11Rs still hogging out the cut.
some of the best dozers ever made
Does the new equipment have emissions systems there
Nope
Is the 10 million yd job part of "the line" (NEOM city) project or is this some other huge project?
@@Abdulrahman-hk6nm Thank you for your reply. For others here is the translation: Another project called Qiddiya in Riyadh I am looking for and many other projects such as King Salman Park, the largest garden in the world, and more projects that are being completed and completed by 2030
Bet non of those old D11Ns are tier 4 final compliance lol 😂 #notincali
Naaaaaah
wowwwwwwwwwwww
Did CAT have a buy 1 get 1 free sale on next gen excavators!
👍👌
These guys aren’t afraid of a fuel bill that’s for sure
Imagine being sponsored by oil itself. Feels like a king.
Dear, welcome to Saudi Arabia
And the giant projects in Saudi Arabia are many that can be covered, such as:
Qiddiya is the largest theme park in the world
Diriyah, the largest cultural city in the world
King Abdullah Financial District, which will be the largest financial project in the Middle East, with more than 59 skyscrapers,
The Red Sea Islands project and the Amaala project, which Saudi Arabia is betting on to be a magnet for island tourism lovers and lovers of diving and clean water
And the Jubail Industrial City development project, which is the largest industrial city in the world
And other projects, such as the five panels project in Al-Ula and the Al-Soudah project, which has not started yet, etc..
The world is absolutely welcome to see Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 ❤
Caterpillar is the American company every American company wishes they could be like.
you name the Country and their machines will be there.
Komatsu is much better.
Me puedo ir a trabajar para allá. Llevame
please tell me the soundtract of your vedio i love it ,
You need to do a pod with a company from this area on why it makes any sense to have that many small hoes and trucks compared to a big iron operation.. or does it just not make any sense and its just money over brains?.. ps the skid steer highscore was legit
it's really just availability. They can get a lot more machines faster
@@AaronWitt Yeah no government juice too ehh probably a lot less downtime on those smaller hoes for emission repairs
Is the city they are building Neom?
لا مدينه نيوم تبنى في مدينه اخرى في تبوك ويعملون عليها اكثر من هذا بكثيير
Jobsite with a view forsure 🤣
Not one machine in that entire fleet that uses DEF or EGR.
Bad ass video
a country like Saudi has the money to deploy 500 D11s
It seems to me that they need some one that knows how to go about moving big yardage of material, because what I saw looked like chaos! And a lot of wasted money! And time! You don’t shove material that far and make money no need for all those big dozers ,shoot the cut! Then bring in some big shovels and load it out! Then repeat!
Mechanised camels
