Rock Bottom is getting the votes for a reason, MS takes a guitar riff and relentlessly drives it into a groove and then he finishes you off and blows you away with the solo. Total awesomeness!
Love the fact you got off on one of rock's greatest bands - UFO. Schenker and Mogg were the VERY best. I saw them first of all in 1979 and Schenker just blew me away. I interviewed him that night and found out he only spoke German-end of interview. Certainly underated
Bought the SITN album when it came out in the 70s. It's the hard rock standard that put most other live albums to shame! Im still blown away when i listen now at 62. Absolutely incredible! 😊
Kinda something when Pete Way went to UFO after from being in the band , Badfinger which was given a song from Sir Paul McCartney I always ❤ Rock Bottom & Lights out. I haven't really listened to this Band . A former Black friend introduced UFO to me . I couldn't believe how heavy they were 😮
Love To Love is one of my all time favorite songs of any band. Profession Of Violence ends with the sweetest guitar solo ever! Michael was entirely self taught! The guitar instrumental Lipstick Traces was played entirely with Michael’s FEET!
They were so great live. Something tells me you might like "Love to Love", but you have to listen to it on the Strangers in the Night live album. Enjoy!
UFO is highly underrated. Michael Schenker alone is one of the top 10 guitarists of all time in my book. Yeah this band is really solid. I suggest you do Love to Love, the live version. 1977
I have two favorite guitarists. Van Halen for technical craziness and innovation and Michael Schenker for melody, emotion and speed whilst hitting every note.
Wow….. Biz keeps coming up with these gem video’s. UFO (Michael Schenker) In my Top 3 guitarist of all time 🎸🎸🎸 “Strangers In The Night” live album is my favorite live album all time 🔥🎸❤️ great reaction Biz ! Your my favorite reactor ❤️
UFO was an integral part of my life from 1973 on. Listened to them constantly and always was amazed at how underrated they were. Saw them live many, many times and never left a show feeling like the band didn't give everything they had. Really enjoyed watching with you. I too love the thoughts by other musicians at the beginning.
They started to take off when that live concert was released. They were really on the road to success when their live album was released in 1979. But sadly Michael quit the band a couple months before it was released. He played his last show with UFO October 1978. The "Strangers in the night" live album is still considered one of the best live rock albums of all time.
Horribly underrated! Seen them 14 times since the 70s had a great fan base in Chicago so did get to see them quite a bit. Always a great show with Michael or Paul on lead guitar! Great reaction!
Thanks for continuing to react to UFO. They are one of the most underrated bands of all time. Most bands you want to check out the studio versions first. But UFO, you want to rock the entire Strangers in the Night live album. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on that album so take your pick. Even the version of Lights Out is their best version of that song (IMO). I’m a drummer (been playing over 40 years), and I still circle back to Strangers in the Night every couple of months for Michael Schenker’s guitar playing. It’s absolutely incredible. Please keep the UFO coming!!
Great song, one of my top 5 songs from them, a very underrated band that influenced all heavy music in the 80s. Try Rock Bottom live from their great live album Strangers in the Night Live and hear Michael Schenker at his very best. One of the most fluid guitar players ever, smooth as silk, one of the greats. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥
I must tell you. In 1981, I went and bought a cassette tape, a completion of bands playing live. Well, about halfway through side 1 of the cassette, this song came on. Strangers in the Night version. I have been a major fan of UFO ever since. I was in 10th grade in 81' and am so happy I found that cassette. He'll I can't even remember any other band on that tape except UFO...
This band has been one of my favorite bands ever since I first saw them live way back in these days. Mind blowing how hood they were. I got to see them several times.
UFO is one of my favorite bands, and then my opinion and many others should be in the rock Hall of Fame Lights out was the first album I heard from them in 77 saw them in concert three months later and they were awesome. Saw them three other times in the early 80s with Paul Chapman, who was a great guitarist in his own right and has songs that I find equally, great even though Schenker is generally considered a rock god on guitar Saw them when they reunited with Schenker in 95 which was awesome and then saw them about six times in the last four years right before Covid when they were doing their final tour with their guitarist Vinnie Moore, who again is an awesome guitar and has some great songs in his catalog
This is a really early version. If you listen to the Strangers In The Night version Michael is wailing throughout the song. He influenced so many guitarists it’s almost criminal that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
I also saw UFO in '78 in Lodi, CA., Sacramento in 1980, and ironically, I saw them at the Gaumont in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK. in 1983. Obviously they rocked every time.
I was a big fan of theirs growing up. Saw them live several times. I saw them in 1977 and 78 and a couple of times in the early 80' s ... they had fans but were very underrated or unappreciated. Great band and very inspiring for guitar players not to mention their singer was cool their bass player was one of my all-time favorites to watch live because he would run around the stage and stop and pretend he is playing it behind his neck or he lay on the ground and play ..things you just would not normally see from a bassist. You know most bass players just stand in one spot and don't move! lol But not Pete Way! He was not a great technical bass player but he was an entertaining one. Loved him. But UFO was gaining popularity in the USA but they made the big and lost their great lead guitarist you see here in the video due to personal issues.. and they could never properly replace him. Because you can't replace a great guitar player like him. He had his own special tone that no one else had he had his own signature sound you cant just go out find some other guitarist and think it will work and it didn't and they UFO went downhill after he left. By the time they got back together with him in 2000 it was too late. Fans from 1978 were now grandmothers lol Anyway check out this same in studio version Have you listen to songs from their FORCE IT album 1975 ... and check out their Walk on water album - Covenant album and Sharks these were albums they did in 2000 are some good recordings but as for the band and the time to make it big, it was too late.
ii am practically on my death bed dude. I saw UFO 3 times twice w/Michael and I saw Michael 6 times. Michael, frank Marino, Uli Jon Roth were the best. And yes, I saw Black Sabbath in 74 and Van Halen in 88. And Blackmore too. But those 3. Whoa! My last show was Uli Jon Roth opening for Micchael Schenker in 2004. I couldn't have gone out on a better note. Michael was still great in 2023.
As another old guy that has been a huge fan of UFO/Michael Schenker since the mid-70s, I would be neglecting my duty if I didn't add my voice to the others suggesting "Rock Bottom," and specifically the live version on "Strangers in the Night." "Rock Bottom" is always my answer to the question, "If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what song would it be?" I've listened to "Rock Bottom" thousands of times (seriously), and I've never had a single moment in which I felt like I was getting tired of the song.
Schenker's new albums covering aongs from "Strangers In the Night" is out in September 24....Axl Rose is doing the Vocals on "Love to Love".... hopefully Axl's caxhe will bring that classic to Masses????😀
They opened for RUSH when I saw them on this tour in 77, and it was a great show, they weren't considered underrated back in 77, at least where I lived.
Man…I did some things I’m not too proud of listening to this back in the day. I never even knew any of their names but a couple UFO albums were to sound track to some good times for many of my friends and me!
White-Black....Every BODY should dig on this. Michael Schenker is one of the greatest gifts to those with EARS. And his time with UFO was some of his best. Enjoy. When are Black folks going to wake up to Jimi Hendrix? a total mystery to me.
I saw Wireless and Judas Priest open for UFO in a venue that held 3000 with a balcony. It was like rolling thunder. For my money as a guitarist, Shenker is at the top of the list when it comes to melodic leads that transition seamlessly one into another.
Lights Out reminds me a lot of Led Zep's Achilles Last Stand, with that galloping beat. Gotta hit Rock Bottom next. Btw, the second guy interviewed is Joe Elliott, lead singer for Def Leppard. One of the better rock bands of the 80s. You should definitely check them out. Songs like Photograph, Foolin', Rock of Ages are classics, just to name a few
UFO were to many "The new Deep Purple" in the late 1970s, and they should've been as big. Along with Purple, I think UFO are way better than the bands they influenced, like Iron Maiden. Phil Mogg's voice is so melodic, and so is Michael Schenker's playing. Pete Way was seen as a character more than a musician, but his bass-playing was PERFECT for UFO. Subscribed!
Another great English band that got my money 3 times over 8tracks albums then cds zeppelin Floyd purple and sabbath and only reason beatels didn't cause they only got my 8track and cd money only bought blue and red albums
The guitarist is your guitar hero's guitar hero! Michael Schenker is absolutely one of the most influencial guitarists ever existed! Dave Mustaine and Kirk Hammet are among the Schenker's greatest fanboys in the world along with Slash, Dave Murray and hundreds of other famous players!
Thanks man.....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I saw them live in 1980 Blew me away. I preached to all I knew about 'em..... Now I can say SEEEE .....I TOLD YOU...... ! This band should have been HEEOOOOGE....They were big..don't get me wrong ... but deserved much more special appreciation. Check out " Rock Bottom"...live version on "Strangers in the Night" album....You may never recover... !
Rock Bottom is getting the votes for a reason, MS takes a guitar riff and relentlessly drives it into a groove and then he finishes you off and blows you away with the solo. Total awesomeness!
Six minute song with a seven minute solo
Criminally underrated
Love the fact you got off on one of rock's greatest bands - UFO. Schenker and Mogg were the VERY best. I saw them first of all in 1979 and Schenker just blew me away. I interviewed him that night and found out he only spoke German-end of interview. Certainly underated
Love UFO! You're right, they are criminally underrated!
Michael Schenker is worth the price of admission alone.
Let It roll is another classic
Bought the SITN album when it came out in the 70s. It's the hard rock standard that put most other live albums to shame! Im still blown away when i listen now at 62. Absolutely incredible! 😊
I was at the live show in Chicago. Unforgettable!
Schenker burning up the fretboard. Not shredding, burning with emotion. U F O❤🔥RIP
Kinda something when Pete Way went to UFO after from being in the band , Badfinger which was given a song from Sir Paul McCartney
I always ❤ Rock Bottom & Lights out. I haven't really listened to this Band . A former Black friend introduced UFO to me . I couldn't believe how heavy they were 😮
Confused what Pete Way and Badfinger have in common.....nothing at all is the correct answer.
Enjoy!
One of the best songs on one of the best live albums with one of the best bands who had one of the best guitar players.
I attended the live performance at the Chicago show found on this album. Unforgettable!
Love To Love. Yeah, in 77, stood in the front, Way's bass ripping my head off. SVT, Thunderbird.
UFO were amazing in concert. Saw them with AC/DC. Schenker was amazing
Randy Rhoads and Michael Schenker are my favorites.
@@nbgirl483 😀👍
Schenker is your favorite guitarists favorite guitarist
You are VERY insightful Biz. Iron Maiden are HUGE fans of UFO. They even cover UFO songs in their live shows.
Metallica as well.
If you love the ballads you can’t miss Born to Lose. May be my favorite Schenker solo. Although it’s like picking your favorite child lol 😆
UFO was an integral part of my life from 1973 on. Listened to them constantly and always was amazed at how underrated they were. Saw them live many, many times and never left a show feeling like the band didn't give everything they had. Really enjoyed watching with you. Clearly a guilty pleasure of yours 🤘😃
Still my all time favorite show. Rush/UFO /1977.
I saw them open for RUSH in Fresno back in 77.
@@dda40x1 - Santa Monica Civic for me.
"Couldn't Get It Right" by UFO would be a great song for reaction.
Horribly underrated! Seen them 14 times since the 70s had a great fan base in Chicago so did get to see them quite a bit. Always a great show with Michael or Paul on lead guitar! Great reaction!
I saw UFO open for Cheap Trick at the Sunrise Musical Theater. It was a great concert. I believe the band still had all the original members.
Thanks for continuing to react to UFO. They are one of the most underrated bands of all time. Most bands you want to check out the studio versions first. But UFO, you want to rock the entire Strangers in the Night live album. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on that album so take your pick. More more UFO!!! Phenomenon album is excellent!! Gotta try it biz!!
Do Rock Bottom next.....total banger. I saw them live back in the late 70's
MS and ufo is so brilliant at their Kraft ! Love this band ! Thanks biz another great one
I live for 70s hard rock. All these many years later it still moves me.
Ufo 2 Flying (1 hour Space Rock) is a must listen especially thru headphones
Love to Love is one of my top ten songs of all time

Rock Bottom live IS a must . Studio is ok Ps I agree 💯 underrated
This band has been one of my favorite bands ever since I first saw them live way back in these days. Mind blowing how hood they were. I got to see them several times.
UFO is one of my favorite bands, and then my opinion and many others should be in the rock Hall of Fame

"Too Hot to Handle" is a fun UFO banger that got a lot of airplay in the late 70s.
This is a really early version. If you listen to the Strangers In The Night version Michael is wailing throughout the song. He influenced so many guitarists it’s almost criminal that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
Schenker also played in the Scorpions ( his brother is still in the Scorpions )
You should listen to the whole Lights Album. A masterpiece. Too hot to handle, Lights Out, Love To Love, Just Another Suicide, Electric Phase
Retiro o que disse antes! 😵💫 Excelente... mandou bem! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👈🏼
I also saw UFO in '78 in Lodi, CA., Sacramento in 1980, and ironically, I saw them at the Gaumont in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK. in 1983. Obviously they rocked every time.
great bass by Pete Way and amazing guitar work by Micheal Schenker

Ufo with guitar God Michael Schenker, a match made in heaven by rock gods 🤘🤘🤯
Listen to "I'm a loser" my favourite UFO track, awesome track.
ii am practically on my death bed dude. I saw UFO 3 times twice w/Michael and I saw Michael 6 times. Michael, frank Marino, Uli Jon Roth were the best. Check out Strangers In The Night, their double live album. It's one of the best live albums ever produced.
They opened for RUSH when I saw them on this tour in 77, and it was a great show, they weren't considered underrated back in 77, at least where I lived.
They opened for Foghat in '75. I liked Foghat, but I LOVED (still do) UFO.
They are underrated.
Man…I did some things I’m not too proud of listening to this back in the day. I never even knew any of their names but a couple UFO albums were to sound track to some good times for many of my friends and me!
You need to hear the Lights Out Album in its Entirety!
White-Black....Every BODY should dig on this. Michael Schenker is one of the greatest gifts to those with EARS. And his time with UFO was some of his best. Enjoy. When are Black folks going to wake up to Jimi Hendrix? a total mystery to me.
very nice !!!!!!!!
Guitar players of my generation know Michael Schenker is as good as it gets, best melodic player ever.
YeSssssss!
Rock bottom !!
I saw Wireless and Judas Priest open for UFO in a venue that held 3000 with a balcony. It was like rolling thunder.
For my money as a guitarist, Shenker is at the top of the list when it comes to melodic leads that transition seamlessly one into another.
Michael Schenker is still touring!
I LOVE this band! If you want a ballad try Dream the Dream from Misdemeanor!
Lights Out reminds me a lot of Led Zep's Achilles Last Stand, with that galloping beat. Gotta hit Rock Bottom next. Btw, the second guy interviewed is Joe Elliott, lead singer for Def Leppard. Love some of the art and images behind you. Is that your dad behind you??
UFO IRON MAIDEN METTALLICA ! You can live off that stuff!
A 'solafa' do guitar do UFO.... esqueci o nome... é raridade. Não só nesta música, mas em várias. E não sei se já era Shkenker. Era?
Like a ballot try balladona from UFO. Profession of violence is another good ballad
We had the best music, the coolest cars, and the hottest women!
What a time to be alive!😎
UFO IS EPIC!
first concert ufo/ozzy 1980
Doctor Doctor, Love To Love or Rock Bottom. Michael Schenker was first in the Scorpions with his brother Rudy before he left and joined UFO
Schenker baby!

Another great English band that got my money 3 times over 8tracks albums then cds zeppelin Floyd purple and sabbath and only reason beatels didn't cause they only got my 8track and cd money only bought blue and red albums
I’m waiting to see a UFO
Who is the lead guitarist? He's such a clean player for this era.
Micheal Schenker and his brother Rudolf Schenker is lead guitar for the Scorpians
Michael Schenker , he played in the Scorpions too
The guitarist is your guitar hero's guitar hero! Michael Schenker is absolutely one of the most influencial guitarists ever existed! Dave Mustaine and Kirk Hammet are among the Schenker's greatest fanboys in the world along with Slash, Dave Murray and hundreds of other famous players!
Че он может в роке понимать? Ламбада! Да! Джаз!
Van, Halen, who? Michael Shanker the best ever
Not familiar with this one. 😮
I hate to say this BUT. Most black people don't like this because of poor harmony.. Sorry don't worry about it.
