You know what makes a good reactor? Being a good listener. You are a good listener, Biz. I like your appreciation for language and well turned phrases. They never seem to get by you, which is remarkable for a first listen. I’ve always been a fan of lyrics and song construction.
Great stuff Biz! Michael Schenker live is a special treat. Have you done Rock Bottom yet? Also try Schenker's solo albums. Armed and Ready is just the first song I'd do. Hold on to your flying V!
UFO is solid. Worthy of a dive, BizMatik. Michael Schenker is the guitarist. He was in the Scorpions before this band. Scorpions have some great tunes too... 😎
The album Strangers in the Night IMO is the best live album of all time. Rock Bottom, Love to Love, Doctor Doctor and so many more...Lights out on said album is what got me turned on to UFO. They have been a favorite of mine since 81'. Bought a live cassette of a variety of bands and this song was on it. Blew my mind.
UFO have been around since 69 and had many dope ass albums and songs but to many people including artists like Robert Plant and Steve Perry and the guys from Rush the song Love to Love is a master piece with the ending might being the greatest solo ever!!!The song sounds like Zeppelin,Rush and a little Iron Maiden all at once.Keep up the good work!!!
Good call Biz. UFO was an influence on Iron Maiden. In fact, Iron Maiden has for years played Doctor Doctor by UFO over the speakers before they get on stage.
Schenker is a German Metal God , saw him a few weeks ago at the Hellfest festival and he is still one of the best . Kirk Hammett ( metallica ) is a big fan of UFO and Michael Schenker/ Iron Maiden is using the UFO song Doctor Doctor as there intro for many years
The guitar player was a teenager he wrote and recorded this song. Micheal Shenker plays with so much style and taste he ranks in the top echelon of guitar players.
You are the Man for reacting to some UFO.. I've been a fan since 1975 and the Force It album.. Please check out other great tunes.. " Shoot Shoot", "Let It Roll", " Love Lost Love", "Doctor ,Doctor ", "Mother Mary", and "Pack It Up and Go".. thanks.
Michael Shenker started with his brother Rudolf in the Scorpions. He took over in UFO leaving the Scorpions before they made it big. I agree with the comments UFO is better live, and Michaels solo stuff is worth a listen.
Great pull BizMan glad to see you finally got around to UFO!!!!! Definitely go down that rabbit hole hombre!!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!!! The catalog is fire 🔥 and live is even better!!!!! Feel free to try Rock Bottom next!!!! Just saying!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!😎🍸
You've GOT to listen to "Rock Bottom" by UFO. That's the only song I've heard by them, so excited to hear this to see if it's as good. But Rock Bottom is sooo good, definitely worth the check out.
P.S. Nazareth WERE a Top 10 band-50 years ago when that record came out. When I was your age, EVERYBODY owned that Nazareth record. "Hair of the Dog" was the biggest thing to date.
It's funny you mention Maiden...UFO had a big influence on HARRIS the bass player for Maiden. Maybe that's where the gallop comes from in Maiden songs?
I believe the context of this song is being in England during the German air raids when they rained bombs down on England. They had to keep their lights out so the German planes wouldn't see them clearly. The best you could do was keep your head down and hold on till the end and hope nothing was a direct hit on your head. The guitar player is German and the singer is an Englishman.
Always check to see if the song is on Strangers In The Night first. It's one of the best live albums ever made so it's the way to go. The great studio songs are Cherry and Mystery Train.
The line you focused on can be interpreted completely different with 1 letter "s". Heaven help"s" those who help themselves. Heaven help those who help themselves. Depending on your view, those who help themselves (selfish) heaven help them. An ominous portend for those folks. Or, those who help themselves, ( make an effort to better themselves and the world around them) heaven will help.
You have to listen to them live, whole different animal! The guitarist Micheal Schenker is absolutely world class
Truth! Schenker is one of the all time greatest and he shines on the live album Strangers in the Night… the entire album is fire 🔥
Great reaction!!

Thanks I truly appreciate that.
I bought this album on vinyl in 1976 for $4.39 new at a hippie record store in Lincoln, Nebraska, and I listen to it regularly yet. Great Band!
A blast from the past, right on! 🤟
Too Hot to Handle. One of their best.
Great stuff Biz! Michael Schenker live is a special treat. Have you done Rock Bottom yet? Also try Schenker's solo albums. Armed and Ready is just the first song I'd do. Hold on to your flying V!
The old saying is UFO is your favorite bands favorite band

He got to do love to love off of the same album.

Londoners were told to turn their lights out while the Nazis we on an aerial bombing raid. Schenker influenced many guitarists
Only a true rocker can equate the Iron Maiden Gallop and this song. Nice spot, Bizzy!
I also hear Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin, which came first.
Thanks
Iron Maiden gallop? They were the ones influenced by UFO. It's the Schenker gallop
Michael Shenker started with his brother Rudolf in the Scorpions. He took over in UFO leaving the Scorpions before they made it big. I agree with the comments UFO is better live, and Michaels solo stuff is worth a listen.
UFO!! Shoot shoot another good tune
Do more UFO!! Awesome band
A bit of the Iron Maiden galloping guitars during the chorus. I always liked this song.
I think it originally comes from Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin
Great Band saw them many times they are amongst my favorites Nice Lookout Biz !!!
Saw them way back and they would sing " lights out in" and throw your towns name in , it was fun , we're simple people
A REALLY GREAT VERSION OF THIS IS ON 1995S "WALK ON WATER'
you are a very thoughtful man.....also Michael Schenker is King.... glad you enjoyed
Too Hot To Handle by UFO is another good one
Great pull BizMan glad to see you finally got around to UFO!!!!! Definitely go down that rabbit hole hombre!!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!!! The catalog is fire 🔥 and live is even better!!!!! Feel free to try Rock Bottom next!!!! Just saying!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!😎🍸
Love UFO
Great band. Great song. Talking about WW2. These were the kids who were left afterwards.
I completely followed what you were saying, Biz. You nailed it! Bless you and your family, bro. ✌🏼✌🏼
Funnier, I actually am sitting on somebody's lap. Simon says hello and he loves your stuff, too.

let it roll another class song by ufo
Yeah, OK " Bright boy " shoe shine. Please , who ever heard of Bright boy shoe shine ?? 🤣
Also some volbeat!! The devils bleeding crown
The reason you’re noticing the similarities in tempo with Iron Maiden is because UFO was a big influence on them.
That line right there is older than I am.
Back into my life is worth a listen.
Ufo is a great metal band. Iron maiden was influenced by ufo and maiden starts they're concerts with doctor doctor by ufo. Even covered the song.
more hard rock than metal
Three songs I really like by them are Love to Love, Rock Bottom, and Doctor Doctor

Yo biz. Wow.UFO. Great song to react to. Enjoy.
Biz. Never thought of that gallop this song has like maiden has that gallop. I grew up with this song and band. Good take. 🤘
Yeah im starting to have an ear for this music thanks to yall 🙏🏿
Biz you gotta review UFO phenomenon album!! You won’t be disappointed
Always check to see if the song is on Strangers In The Night first. It's one of the best live albums ever made so it's the way to go.
The great studio songs are Cherry and Mystery Train.
I*'m sure others have mentioned this but ~ Check out their live album "Stranger in the Night." You will not be sorry.
Cheers

UFO Live Strangers In The Night "album review" would be one of your most memorable if you could pull it off.
Monster riffs and guitar solo heaven every song!
About the bombing of London during dubya dubya 2
Blimey … plenty of forensic theories in the comments… It is a solid Rock tune simple as
YES, mICHAEL sCHENKER IS THE BEST!!!
Are you sure jimmy 's are the best guitarist in the world
