Was thinking taking the collar off of Frieda could be a good idea for safety. And to make sure she doesn't out grow it and it get stuck in her neck.

1st day of school for the Bottle Calves !!! New things for them to learn and open fields to explore. Love watching Jeff shove the pigs back under the fence with his foot. So many adventures on the ranch !!!!
Hope you found the calves. My worry would be with that colar on that Frieda could get hung up and the others wouldn't leave her. Hope they are all safe and sound! Love the videos.
That collar will become embedded as she grows. I hope it comes off. Maybe in October when they bring everyone in.
Agreed with the collar, as the calf grow collars can become to tight on their neck as well. Risk of getting hung up in a fence is high as well. Hopefully they realize they left it on and get it off soon.

Pigs are notorious escape artists. Those Emu are so fun to just watch run around. Bottle calves are in a new world. Might have to get the drone up and look around. Trust there ok. Thanks for sharing
You and Jeff are so comical together, I like that easy going comradery between you two. That makes work a lot more tolerable, in my opinion. My long term dachshund was kind of like a bottle calf. She didn’t know how to be a dog.In fact, she doesn’t know that some dogs sleep outside ( or on the floor for that matter.)
I had a Mini Doxie and they don't know how to sleep on the floor. Daytime mine was on my lap, nighttime under the covers by my feet.

Haha..that would be funny. The farm down at the base of the mountain where I live had their Emu escape.It stayed on the loose for over two weeks before it was finally caught.

Rock⭐️ Marti needs to be the new Blonde Cow and represent the ranch!!! Bring them back to the smaller pasture with Bambi and a few other great cows and let them learn to be cows and get to know them and then let them roam in 1,000s of acres. I am saying this because you know I have been watching sweet Rock⭐️Marti grow up and I don’t want her to go in the feed lot program.:( I would make a terrible rancher!

I admire your gumption keeping the place going. I don't think I could herd Emu's and give "tours" to anybody other than family from the city, it just ain't in my nature. there just ain't no easy way to bottle feed Bison, God Bless, be safe, and pray for rain

You and Jeff were funny trying to round up the escaped pigs! Poor little bottle calves. They didn't know where to go or what to do with all those big cows! I thought it was cute how all the cows and other calves came to see them. And sweet Bambi was first to greet them! Hope you find them and all is well with them! Hopefully they're together instead of one being left all alone. Little Marty is attached to you!
Thanks for the video. I knew of a calf, free marton that was able to be bred, and was a nice dairy cow, and had a few calves.
Hi Mike, hope those calf's are OK and have found where the water is, shame you didn't have a drone with you to put up to help you locate them as you sure have a lot of ground to cover and time consuming the cow's at the end lightened the mood looking for treat's 😅
I felt so bad for Jeff...maybe he is/was a little attached to the bottle babies. Hope you find them soon. I certainly will be watching. ❤

I thought one of the sadist videos last year was when you took Peanut to the herd and he was chasing the vehicle as you were leaving.
You should get yourself a drone as you would be able to see them from a distance

We are having "stupid" hot weather here in Ca. as well. 115 yesterday, 112 today. I am in the East Bay not LA. We need it to go away. It's going to be over 100° for the next 4 or 5 days. Glad I don't work outside. Take care of yourselves!
I know the Cali weather is crazy right now. I'm like 1hr ish East of Sacramento but am from Western Washington and have only been down here for a few months and the heat is almost killing me. Lol
@@emileebacon9422 Before I retired in Ca in 2015 I lived 30 years in Tacoma Wa. I escaped here as I found Tacoma wet & dreary most of the year & didn't want to retire without sunshine. It has gotten hotter & dryer here each & every year since. Here we have AC though there we did not. Of course hot in Tacoma was 80 to 90° not this 113 we had today.
Dear mike and family, you could build a bunkhouse and invite couples to stay for two weeks and volunteer to work. I for one would pay to do this . I have about 50 to drop and a closet for of jeans I would love to be able to wear again
