Great video, Tapir. I wouldn’t say that the NL had a clear offensive MVP in ‘88. I respectfully believe that LA’s Orel Hershiser should have taken that year’s MVP in addition to his Cy Young.
Also, I agree, many of Sister Sledge’s hits are overlooked! Haha

Thank you so much! I have to agree when even Vin Scully didn't consider Kirk to be the MVP. Glad you agree with Sister Sledge! I really like their songs and I wish more of them were played outside of just "We Are Family".

Never understood why fans vote for all stars. You can't expect millions of people to be objective on a non serious issue.

I think it gets more fans invested when they get to vote but I think their % of the vote should definitely be low.

Technically Kirk Gibson was an all star but he declined

Yes, twice in his career. He still had double the amount of seasons where he got MVP votes than all star selections though.
