Perfect timing for this video to turn up as I'm about to start mixing with neutron 4 and the other plugins shown in the video.I'm going to use Sound ID reference also as to mix on headphones . So thanks for the tips. BTW De Ana do I have to polish my nails red to get a better mix ? lol
Thank you Diana! Thank you iZotope Inc! As always great stuff! I also often talk about treating the mix in three dimensions. And it’s great to get to know a different perspective on these three dimensions. For me it looks like this: - width (stereo panorama) - depth (frequency response; frequency characteristic) - height (volume levels of individual instruments) As for the arrangement context, it is indeed worthwhile to be guided by it to a large extent. I listen to tracks in solo mode only when they are first added and corrected, sometimes also to focus on specific sounds in the mix for a moment. This helps me catch them more precisely when the whole mix is playing. Best Regards!
Metric A/B plug-in and load in 16 Hit songs and compare your mixes to theirs There are other great tools in this plugin , spectrum analyzation between your song and Hit songs and several other tools. It’s a no-brainer.
Thanks for the video. In my humble opinion, the less the better. Work on in capturing the sound the best you can, use volume automation before use a compressor, and have a great arrange, song and performers. That will do the most part of the job. Any plug in you insert, modify the original sound. Best!
Really disappointed that Izotope discontinued the standalone version, my workflow was in a good place but now i am having to do workarounds. Not a progressive move in my humble opinion! This has influenced my decision not to update to V11 advanced.
I had the same complaint after upgrading because I used to do mastering outside my DAW. Now I just do it inside DAW, and It's more convenient and faster. I still have ozone 9 though 😊❤
I do all this however sometimes no matter what I do I can't get some of My music to sound they way I want. If it takes to long I just shelve it and start something new.
Hello! I think this is a sensible approach. Don't force anything. The inspiration will come with time and then you will experience an epiphany - if I may call it that. Greetings!
@@HOLLASOUNDS So do I. It's amazing to be able to approach your idea again after years with a greater supply of knowledge and tools. Then you compare the two versions and feel the progress. Best Regards 😉
@@HOLLASOUNDS At times, it can even take several years for me. Such an approach, where you don’t discard a recording but wait for the right moment, takes a lot of time. I made a track called ‘'Fantasy Chaser',’ but I wasn’t satisfied. I improved my skills a bit and understood what was wrong with it. After over two years, (almost three) I started it again. Of course, with the same vocals and melody, but it now sounds much cleaner and fresher, and I guess. more modern. Best Regards!
Sections 3 and 8 in this video are stupid advice imo. In both it's recommend that people start with a poor recording then attempt to fix it later. In 3 advice is given on correcting out of sync track timing. In 8 it's shown how to un-muddy poorly used reverb and delay. Stupid. People need learn to avoid these issues while recording. No-one can get good recordings if they can't play their instruments well. Timing needs to be bang on when played and effects used needs to be perfect when recorded. It's dumb to try to come in at mixing stage to try to fix glaring mistakes
Just got ozone 11 adv last week n its just soo powerful my track just got level up thanks to that offer tho 👌👌

Once again, thoroughly explained beautifully with such understanding.

it looks like a philosophy here !💪🤝
Great
Please add AGI to all of your plugins when available so I can rest in focusing on my music only.
Lol yeah that would be sick
The irony is companies are working harder on full music generators than on mixing/mastering tools (garbage)

@@ADRIANO-MUSIC Well I do often come back to old projects and fix them years later.

@@ADRIANO-MUSIC Definitely, whats the longest ypu let a project sit before coming back to it and finishing it?

I use Bandlab for mixing, is this as good as other mixing porcesses?
Certain tasks can be completed more easily and with higher quality using dedicated tools in Music Production Suite 6.5: bit.ly/3r1pqDY 😇

What's with the nails?
They assist with scratching and picking up small items effectively.
Most women like getting there nails done like that.
She nailed it!
