Fan Edition is basically the phone from last year, sold at a lower price that launches before the flagship of the current year. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is basically the S21 of last year sold together with S22 but with a lower and more budget friendly cost. Despite the outdated components of the phone, an aging Snapdragon 888, the non adaptive refresh rate and lack luster build, the S21 FE is actually a great phone that is aging well. I got the Qualcomm 888 model S21fe with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM back in October 2022 for $550 US. My wife and I both got one. We have been pleasantly impressed with them. A huge upgrade from the Galaxy S8 Active phones that we were using before.

Hi great video ive s21fe exynos version samsung announced they'll give 4 android 5 year system update guarantee im planning to use my phone to 5 years, up to 2028 with changing battery every 2 years,
My question is will s21fe exynos usable for that long term or I change it with s22 for same usage time
I'm lost . Some people say this phone is bad don't buy it and others say its a great phone for the price. All I want is a phone with a good camera and battery lasts the day .

I've used it for quite a while, and its pretty good! Some of the rants people have may not be applicable for you.
1) The back plastic panel gets scratches easily(I use my phones with great care, also it took only 3 days for scratches to occur after purchase, mine is black maybe not visible on other colors, it will even scratch overtime if you use a case because dust particle settles inside the case also).
2)It overheats in normal tasks(even launching camera may cause heating). Note - I have Exynos version.
3)The camera is average, maybe I had more expectations but it is decent better than A series, zoom beyond 3x is crap and video recording is not that great in low light/indoors .(From comparisons I noticed that snapdragon version cameras are better).
Buy this only on sale, also if you want the S series software experience for lower price.

I've been using my S21FE (Exynos) for almost a year and happy with it so far. Of course, there're some drawbacks such as the heat in some situation and its speaker performance but at this price point today, I think it's a good phone.
Oh yeah it's a good phone. I heard some overheating issues with the Exynos version Good thing you mentioned that.

May I know whether turn on 120hz in daily activity? Is it enough to support a whole day (12hrs may be) without charging?
Yup! That would not affect the standby and if you are inside an app that doesnt support hifh refresh rate. It should be fine.

The plastic back Is ok for me cause I always use cases and my a50 wasn't normal plastic and the back broke
Not sure I'm satisfied though...I got the Exynos version (128 gb), and it regularly heats up and hangs..I was not expecting that from a phone at this price range. Battery experience is also not satisfactory, it not horrible but I'm definitely not far from my charger

Hmmmm... Pretty close actually, it all boils down to ecosystem. iPhone11 build quality is better though... But S21 FE has triple camera.

Camera is draw I would say. S21 fe makes better photos in good light. In other scenarios almost always iphone 11 would do better photos (s21 fe makes them blurry when there is even small movement). Videos are way better on iPhone.
I just got s21 fe ..and trust me .the battery will last you all day long with 8 9 hours usage ..its far better than iphone in terms of battery life
@@maheenbashir8590 lol. 8-9h is possible on wifi with not so high brightness and no standby time. In daily use 6h is awesome score for this phone. What isn't good. Newer iPhones last way more on one charge.

Actually i got this phone in my cart ready to be ordered but only thing thats holding me back is the battery backup. Saw so many reviews online that bitch about the battery life.
Also depends on the brightness. It might not be the case the first time you use it since its going on a full force mode and trying to learn your pattern.

I use S21FE without protector in the back. And after almost two years it only has a little scratch. I just bought s22+ and kinda regret it. Because it's heavier and not quite sure about its scratch proof ability

Hard to tell, depends on what you do. 6-7 hrs for me I guess, Im not a heavy user.

battery life will always be subjective. depending on what you do with your phone. so when they are unhappy, what do they do with the phone actually?

Hi Robrecht. I purchased the s21 FE about a week and a half ago and believe me its great. The battery life is actually pretty good. I have the exybos variant so the battery life is slightly worse than the snapdragon one but i turned off 5G cuz I don't really need it (LTE is fine by me) and i keep the AOD on tap to show. The battery life improved substantially and the cameras are honestly outstanding.

@Robrecht Demaertelaere I'd suggest you wait for the official specs of the a54, but in case they're just "okay", I'd suggest getting the s21 fe. Better processor, better camera, wireless charging, IP68 water and dust resistance and samsung dex. Good luck!

Hmmm, go with Pixel 7 coz its newer. Tensor G2, 8GB RAM, 50mp main, and selfie has better stabilization in 4K.

I bought an s21fe snapdragon 888 6gb/128gb it is so much better I had an samsung a33 before but that phone had bad performance the exynos in the a33 was really disappointing .

ordered just now. got it for 21,500 8/128GB SD 888 brand new with lots of freebies, (tempered glass, 25w charger, phone case, wireless earbuds.) prefer the S21 FE over OnePlus 10T (25,000 12/256) because of camera and ui. hopefully I won't be disappointed with the battery of s21 FE.

How much battery life do you get with daily use?
Its really hard to provide specific time since I have different usage pattern, on those days that I'm busy filming, it can last 2 days, if I do gaming I need to charge it twice.
@@GadgetRevNowI just got this phone. The battery last maybe 5hours even after changing multiple settings to conserve battery. I use Instagram,Facebook and tiktok and take pictures/video through out the day. Does that seem like the average time I should get even if the settings are changed to conserve battery life? I was hopeful I would get atleast 8hours with this phone with daily use since the battery is bigger.
I know that Samsung phones are learning usage pattern, will not be a drastic change but will help a bit. In every smartphone, the biggest culprit is the biggest part which is the screen. Turn down brightness if not needed and move to regular 60 hertz. That will help too.

I dont play heavy games on my S21 FE so I dont have that issue. I played mobile legends for an hour that's it and that lifestyle I dont suffer from overheating.

At this price point, it basically THE BEST smartphone you can get. Battery is mediocre, but the rest is just 10/10. I own SD888 version. And don't listen to the people who say that it's overheating, it's bullshit.
Agree Jimmy, and some might be even abusing their phones like all day gaming. If you watched my battery test, a lot of viewers will say its fake although everything is properly documented and shot. So it all depends on the use. 👍
