@@Adi-oc2hd agree with that but for countries like Japan Euro countries USA etc it's easier to maintain and refurbish over time. They have lesser population and people have civic sense. China developed recently over the past 3 decades. Until 1970s China was almost as poor as India,maybe slightly richer. Because of Deng Xiaping and Mao Zedong, China became prosperous- the country it is today. Modiji is somewhat like our version of Deng Xiaoping.

I loved how you were observing lane discipline, following speed limits, not tailgating, stopping behind the pedestrian crosswalk at the traffic light, did not honk and did not drive in the bus lane! We saw many recalcitrant knuckleheads who were not following any of these traffic rules and were blatantly ignoring the bus lane markings and overtaking you from all sides! Kudos to you for keeping calm and enjoying the ride! I believe if Indian cities want to be at par with the developed world, a high-quality, modern and robust infrastructure will have to be complimented by law abiding drivers who will obey all traffic rules and drive safely and systematically like you did! That's the problem, some people cannot visualise or believe the fact Mumbai is headed in that direction and when they see a highly motivated person who wants the best for the city, they try to pull him down and almost talk in a tone of condescension. Only when a ready made structure or landscape is seen, only then average people who underestimated Mumbai will come forward and start singing praises, until then majority will be a part of herd mentality and deny every possibility. This project itself will have so many green spaces and public recreation zones, it's just the beginning of something even bigger and unfortunately some people lack the vision about what it could be and rather keep dwelling on negativity. Also who said that New York was only about sky scrapers? It's certainly not! I have travelled to both parts and I know for a fact that we are in a transition phase or power and economy. Let's not forget the fact that all technologies had originated from India, the west merely tweaked them and modified them to make them look as their own. Therefore I see India way up there in the list, we are improving rapidly and regaining our lost supremacy. The Germans knew it, the British knew it but we lacked self belief and did not trust our own people. This comment section might exhibit many such characters who ridicule India and what's worse is that they are from our own country. We were defeated by our own, not by foreign powers.

North Mumbai people did vote for development. It’s only that South Mumbai people had a different agenda in mind because as I said in the video North Mumbai will rise and benefit, so certain South Mumbai people cannot stand that and also their sea views were taken away. Also the demography of South Mumbai has changed a lot, Gujaratis, Marwaris and Marathi people are less in South Mumbai today compared to North Mumbai. But at the end of the day I'm not generalising people because there are several supporters in SoBo too but their numbers are not enough. So that's why there's an issue.

That would not be a good idea as people have not reached that level of road discipline, if bikes are allowed then they will 100 percent try and overtake cars inside the tunnel and create a lot of nuisance and dangerous situations by the kind of cuts and turns they take even with scooters, not just motorbikes. I know all bikers are not like that but the community of rash/chhapri riders is quite high. Trucks will slow down the commute even further and will also take up a lot of space.
