@@misaeltoral508 Stop trying to act cool, I didn't struggle with the boss but I know what he means. There's a lot going on visually and you have to quickly figure out how to best approach the fight
part of the reason this boss is so insanely hard is because it's symbolically a very significant monster in the lore. the MC's father's guardian is literally a snake, so him being forced to fight a corrupted snake guardian is like him being forced to surpass his own father's family symbol.
Interesting that the snake relates to the main character's father. In Japanese mythology, gazing upon a Yato-no-Kami would bring the extermination of that person's entire family. Neat little detail there, I feel.
For begginers Enenra is also preety hard, most dodge and attack while both Enenra and Yatsu no kami need a medium to long distance and attack when the time is right.
@@ski-meme-trash-k1ll3rsbane71 Weirldy, enenra only bothered me after this damn snake, in a twilight mission. Sword snake still #1 thought, I had nightmares about his 3v1
That beginning bit works so well in an eerie fashion with the boss slithering towards you at top speed during the beginning of the fight, this thing woke me up on how to properly get my senses together and handle multiple problems at once.
Thrak The Carrier Of The Moonlight yea it’s a shame only some bosses had their own theme. Okatsu and yamata no orochi are the only one who comes to mind.
My favorite boss theme so far! Is it because of its quality or because I heard for a goddamn hour trying to kill that snake bastard?? Place your bets now!
surprisingly I didn´t have a hard time killing this boss, once you know its patterns then it´s only about patience, countering and dodging. I enjoyed the battle very much!
Learning the boss is definitely one thing. The music does such a great job at amping up that tension, though. I've made so many mistakes just from the frantic pace of this track.
The fact that some of the snakes weren’t instant and actually were a bit slow really threw me off and made me dodge too early. Overall, he’s not TOO hard, just tricky
That is until you get to higher difficulties where you have smaller windows to do everything, get more damage and deal less, the game expects you to fuck up eventually in a 5 to 10 min fight in dream of the wise and up.
Oh... that release date is coming my friend... and you know that is just the tip of the death ice-burg. Amrita will be lost. Swear words will be shouted. Controllers may be destroyed as well. But this is just how the game needs to be played.
This is the first one to actually make me yell in anger. But I really just don’t like the yokai fights. Cause they have the same problem as bloodborne’s beast fights, they are fucking bullshit. I can trade blows with a human enemy, but if a yokai hits me, I am crippled and fly across the arena like a fuckin’ used condom. They deal too much damage in too few attacks, and can fuckin’ curb stomp you in a 100 to 0 combo.
@@nuckchorris499 or maybe you bad. Don't take it personnaly my dude but all the Yokai fight in this game are managable if you know when to strike and how to use explosive counter. The same is true for Bloodborne. Actually it's even easyer in Bloodborne.
I always hate going back and fighting the snake on replaying the game with different builds. But I always love the intro when the music starts. So fuckin awesome
Yatsu no kami is the hardest boss in all soulslike. For me he certainly was. Including matters like point in game where it appears and what u got. Never died more often on any other boss in the game. Even tho he reappears and gets easier cause u have a bigger set of tools. Every time i hear the theme a primal fear comes up in me
The best thing about these games like the Nioh series is that sometimes you can make the fight easier depending on what you did outside of the boss room, in Yatsu no Kamis case removing all the poison making the fight 50% easier.
@Nook Small Yeah Nioh games are 50% planning and preparation and the other 50% of gameplay. Just like if you would in real life if you wanted to beat a beast of legend that can beta armies with ease.
@@sezaargaming702 If you destroy the statues you fight him without stage hazards, if you don't destroy all the snake statues there are 4 pools of poison in the level to also mind at the same time.
I knew as soon as this started playing when the snake started coming that something was gonna be different with this boss. Turns out he's hard as hell for a lot of people myself included lol.
I’ve started souls games and souls likes since I was like 4/5years old this boss was kinda easy with an odatji but as i said I’ve played these games for awhile
I can't believe I'm getting killed by a giant snake while a badass version of the Batman Forever theme plays in the background. I beat him like a hour or two after I wrote this comment lol
It's honestly crazy, this was by far the hardest boss in the game for me, no other boss took me more than 10 tries and most I got within 3, but this dumb worm? 44 tries, according to my death count. Absolutely crazy.
@@gackybass its far worse on high level expeditions. the boss got high defense and a dirty attack where it just keeps on sweeping with the tail from afar that wears me out with one swipe., and it cant be countered either.
@Gachibass I'm currently half way through the 4th region and Yatsu has been by far the hardest boss I've encountered. I dread to imagine the beta version of her apparently that was insane lol.
Seething Dragon has corruption on it which, while not useless, doesn't do much against Yokai. In future, you'd be better off using a weapon with something else like Purity.
No you dont understand, the way i play these games is when a boss is right there, i have to beat it, and i faced this right after enenra, the only wepon i had max familiarity was the seething dragon, i literally have no other choice

Currently stuck on this boss. It's the fact that a couple of mistakes could kill me. Once I managed to bring it to a sliver of health but I fucked up and blocked instead of dodging a grab and I died. Doesn't help that I never even tried the first Nioh so I'm pretty new to everything
Favorite track in the game thus far but least favorite boss in the game. When I finally beat him I was like, "Why did I have a hard time again... oh yeah shitty boss design."
This boss is the point where you will either quit the game or go on to beat it. There is no in-between.
@Beowulf791 Yeah I kill Yatsu-no-Kami in my sleep now haha. Helps that the game likes to randomly throw him at you a lot.
it's eerie how correct this is lol
The game is simple, if you can't beat it you don't deserve to continue the game. Either you buckle up, be a big boi and commit or return the game.
I honestly got close to giving up. But I didn't

On this boss now, love this theme it's creepy and frantic at the same time. Very fitting for this strange creature
