Ok Ok I have to say it WHAT were you thinking then I thought they must of lost a bet BUT best of all was the look on Izicks look face laughted my Ba%%s off . Oh now Ill watch the rest of video
Man. I NEED oxygen now after watching this one. I've been "at altitude" before in Colorado. If you haven't, you have no idea how fast you get out of breath and exhausted. Brutal episode, to say the least. Kudo's for taking it on and getting through it successfully. One more check mark off the bucket list.
I suspect I'd have a better time at it than I thought previously, but I know I'd have to stop often to bring my blood-oxygen back up kinda like Ike there. Did you know if you breathe shallow and rapid and then slowly raise the depth of each breath while maintaining the rapid cadence you can spike your blood-oxygen? It might not help that much at high altitude, but I heard you can do that at low altitudes while crouched for a couple dozen seconds until your nerves are tingling and then suddenly stand up to cause a blackout through something called Hypocapnia, the co2 level in the blood is so low it constricts brain blood vessels and so you black out until things normalize, its due to something called the Bohr Effect, with co2 too low the elevated oxygen affinity of hemoglobin means, ironically, that the oxygen doesn't make it to the brain cells, the higher the co2 the better it can ferry o2 to cells, too much means there is no o2 at all, too little co2 means all that o2 is useless, so you recover by basically not breathing out any co2 until the balance returns. Funny how that works XD Why in the flying frig did I go on a tangent about oxygen highs when I started on high altitude stuff? Why, brain? y u do dis
@@Flaggedsports865 Eh, I went back to re-read the part of a story I read it first from to find the terms used, then I went over a few different articles, I think a couple from PubMed and whatnot and a few Wikipedia ones on Hypocapnia, also called Hypocarbia, where it conveniently brought up the article on the Bohr Effect just as was brought up in-story by the agent in question, looked at hyperventilation and breathing techniques that I remember and use when I feel like it would help, and oxygen toxicity. I do this kind of thing worryingly often, just prowling and absorbing swaths of data for a comment only to forget most of it after a couple of hours XD So, what, 20 minutes or so to research it, understand it and compile my comment? Hence my wtf at the end lol
its a shame that Charles had mechanical issues..looks like he was having a blast..those little boost cans do work for high elevation ..what a great trail ride with the boys from GPS..keep sendin it boys..poor Charles seems to have my luck..lol
I just love your attitude. It fits my mindset perfectly. I passed my big bike test in the UK back in June 2015. Bought a Yamaha mt07. Then started buying a house in Corfu Greece. In January 2016 I had to get from the UK to Corfu to sign for the house. No direct flights at that time of year. So I decided to do my first big ride. My best mat who has had bikes since his teens, and rides Harley's etc, said "How are you going to do that? You've only had your big bike licence 6 months." I replied "Keep heading south." It worked. 3000 miles through Europe. Brilliant thing to do in my 50s. I'll be 60 this year. I'm starting to think I want to do the trip in reverse on something like a 50cc. Just to make it even more of an adventure. The Alps could be a problem though. It'll be fine!!! Power to you guys.
You guys are awesome and this was great. I loved the funny joke about a Honda dirt bike having a hard time on that trail. ;) But for real it was awesome that you guys made it, way to persevere!
I had the MTD (branded “Columbia”) with the 4 HP Tecumsah + torque converter and chrome fenders on a red frame. Great fun. I had cracks in the same location - - twice re-welded. I loved it!

Hell Yah Brother. Can’t wait to see a collab with all of you guys over at the freedom factory. There’s a bunch of dirt and grass to be torn up as well as the track itself. It would be an amazing weekend event
Great video. Ike sporting the crop top was peak alpha daddy vibes. Brutal trail conditions. Totally need a properly built set up to make that enjoyable. Glad you all made it through safe. Looking forward to mini mayhem.
This reminds me of an anime I watched last year called Super Cub. In episode 5 one of the protagonists tries riding her Cub to the top of Mt. Fuji. It had been done before by a guy, but she wanted to be the first woman to do it. I got some of the same "Ganbare, you can do it!" vibes watching this. Thanks for the entertaining video. I wonder if I can grow one of those Tillotson bushes in my backyard? I suppose you need really iron rich soil for them. 😸
Man I was feeling for ya. I did something like this last summer on a Baja-Tilitson 212 Stg 1 NOT at 10,000 ft. It was REAL rough with NO rear suspension. Rocks and sand were my mortal enemy. Oh, and I was 62yrs old. Yall killed it! That was a FUN watch!!
I assume you got down the hill okay, but looking at that tire on Ike's bike, I'd have been looking for a rubber tree. I think my old XR350 R would rock that trail with my feet on the pegs, but it's hard to see the actual grade on camera. Beautiful views no matter how you get there!
I'd like to see Go Power Sports work with Lectron on a deal for carbs for the 212 and larger engines. With their carbs, we wouldn't need to worry about re-jetting for changes in elevation. If Lectron already has one that would work or designed one for these engines, I'd buy them.
More Chuckles ! Thanx! & sure glad y'all read up on the local fauna, & edibles too, I suppose, lol! Was out there backpacking in '74, up to 14,000+, sure wish I could see more of it again... Guess ill just enjoy your yearly videos, Thanx !
I’d have to disagree John I could rip those trails up on a Honda xr 100 or 200 but yea those little mini bikes will beat you down on tough trails like that 👍🏻👍🏻 two thumbs up for a hella hard ride boys.🤙🏻
Poor Ike he ain't used to the altitude 🤣🤣 I live in the high mountains of the Rocky Mountains it ain't no thing for me. Oh and that Boost oxygen works great! I keep a couple cans in my pack and bug out bags. We have the occasional low oxygen days and I use it a lot. Glad y'all had fun in the high country..
it sucks when you're not used to it, you inhale but it feels like you can't inhale enough haha. i wonder if there are breathing issues when you drop in altitude.
@@Cr8zybuilds you can experience altitude sickness. It can happen when you go up or after you've come down. I've had it before and it sucks bad. And you're exactly right it sucks trying to breathe and it seems like you can't get enough oxygen. When we have storms moving through sometimes it'll push the oxygen further down the mountain to the valleys and all us up in higher altitude can't hardly breathe. It wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes. Scary. The high mountains are no joke. It took me a couple years to fully adjust to it.
@@prophez23 I've had it only going up in elevation. When I went to the mountains in Tennessee I got it a little bit but I think most of my problem breathing was the humidity haha. That feeling must be awful to wake up to.

Ike is channeling is inner Gwen Stephani in this episode. Also, there's no such thing as a tree that creates an engine. That comes from being under immense pressure in the rock for millions of years before being exposed to the light when the rock eroded. Science!
Ike just lost his girlfriend. I wonder if his attire was part of the skit or is Ike showing a feminine side? Either way is cool with me as I had a good laugh watching this video.
