Great video ... thanks! I need to do this on my 8hp Yamaha and reading about how it’s done is one thing, but actually seeing it done makes it super clear and understandable now.
Your maintenance videos are great. Thank you so much for sharing. I do have a question that I thought you might be able to help with: I was performing my 100 hr service on my 2019 Yamaha 115LB. As I was pulling the cylinder #1 spark plug lead, my hand slipped off the boot. Unfortunately, my hand caught the cable and pulled it out of the boot. I inspected the ignition coil to determine how to replace the lead; however, it appears that the leads are hardwired into the ignition coil. Is that, in fact, the case. If so, do you know if replacing the ignition coil a plug-and-play repair? If I am able to replace just the lead, do the lead wires simply from the ignition coil, or does the ignition coil need to be dissembled? Thank you.
hello cap. amazon deleted my acc and the links was deleted by amazon request cap. sorry for the inconvenience, this is amazon fault i did not make that decision cap.
You may already know this, but another service you can do when changing the gear oil is pull the prop off the shaft and inspect for fishing line wrapped around the shaft. Then apply new grease to the shaft and reinstall the prop.
I had to get a 13 pitch from another company dont remember the name im not usin the solas because was higher ther 14 pitch cap sorry i dont remember the exact pitch but i had to get smaller pitch because my added weight
Recommend letting a lot more new oil leak out of that top screw when filling to watch for air bubbles that always come out! You def want to get all those air bubbles out especially when using a small hand pump like that.
@@OutOnTheReef I just checked the owners manual and the F90 also says engine oil and check fuel filter. The Yamaha 20 hour service kit comes w/ lower unit oil, engine oil, engine oil filter, and fuel filter.
@@BeatRock253 that is great it's better to be safe that way and change the oil filter to in my case it says not to change the oil filter in the initial 20 hours

Hey Captain how are you doing I hope all is well good morning what is your boat 21 or 23 foot and what does that Yamaha 200 Cruise that boat at like when you're at 3/4 of a throttle are you happy with that Yamaha
Can anyone tell me why it needs to be filled from the bottom and not the top? What happens if you were to fill from the top? And whats the name of the tool that screws in to fill it?
The reason to fill it from the bottom is to eliminate air bubbles and trap air and I placed the link of the tool that I use on the description below captain I hope this helps
