Sales tax is not owed by Floridians.
Title XIV Chapter 212 Florida Statutes Section 212.05 makes the retailer a person exercising a taxable privilege and that tax the retailer owes passes the tax to YOU the consumer as the statute instructs the retailer to do, which the tax is added to the cost price of the product YOU are purchasing which means the retailer is ripping YOU off by paying retailers debt for every transaction the dealer makes.
There is no provision in all of chapter 212 Florida Statutes that causes YOU and the millions of others in Florida to exercise any taxable privilege.
So, why would YOU allow the FDOR continue to tell retailers to add the sales tax to the actual cost of the product you are buying ?

There is no liability for sales or use tax on Floridian's who buy retail purchases. Tax collected by dealers is tantamount to theft.
No provision anywhere in Title XIV Chapter 212 Florida Statutes makes citizens liable for tax. The Florida Legislature corrupted itself and the sales and use tax statute beginning in 1949
