    Scott, I was 41. I'm 43 now and could do it again if need be. Now we all respond differently but if your doctor thinks you can handle it, go for it. It wasn't nearly as tough as I originally thought. Heck I could even run today if I so wished. Well worth it my man.

    I had really bad tears in my medical meniscus. True locking, we're talking days with it locked sometimes. I've had a total of 6 procedures, and though they helped in the short run, my pain became chronic and totally disruptive to my quality of life. I had this exact procedure done. Within in a month, I felt the best I have felt in nearly 20 years, or very close to it. I post this so others in my position will know their not alone. I finally found the right doctor. Best wishes!     John, i also would like to know. I had a medial meniscal tear and my dr.shaved it. Its been 2 years and still hurting. Affecting my way of life as well. Thanks

    John how old were you when it was done? Im 45 and considering but Im afraid it might be to late do to some swelling I get routinely now.
