I just have one question, how do you blow air into one particular hole without blowing into others. Because when I try to blow in, other holes also make a sound which makes it hard to listen and blow

@nehagaur2730 the trick is try not to worry about it... it's something that comes with practice

Hey tune basics
I have trouble keeping track with the hole numbers though my harmonica is numbered
It gets hard to look at the numbering while playing it
Are there any tips you can give??
The only thing you can do is play the songs your learning over and over and over again until you get a "feeling" for where the holes are... after a while you won't even think about numbers, you'll just do it naturally

Not all harmonicas have numbers, you have to pretend that they do.. the 1st hole where the lowest sound is made is hole one and count up from there.. with practice you won't even think about hole numbers anymore

The chromatic harmonica is the best for pop songs. But also a diatonica is good.
You can play most songs on most harmonicas, diatonic is best for expression, tremolo is good for multiple octaves and chromatic is grear if you want to hit sharps and flats and don't want to bend

Yep, you're right... basically 1 is c, 2 is d, 3 is e, 4 is f and so on until 7 which would be b... they've numbered it that way for people who prefer learning music with letters... but most people who start harmonica just want to know which hole to blow into.... to use my tabs you have to ignore the numbers on on your harmonica and pretend that the first hole is 1, the 2nd is 2 and so on...

OKay so i decided to try a 24 hole after getting very good at the 10 hole an im very confused cause my 24 hole ( key of c) is numbered in this order: 5,2,1,4,3,6,5,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,7,3,2,5,4,1,6,37. Does anyone know why this is?????
I think those numbers correspond to the position of the scale... so all the ones are Cs, all the 2s are Ds, all the 3s are Es etc etc... Kalimbas are numbered the same way...

I've looked into this recently, it's actually quite a difficult piece of music! It's not possible to do the whole song with one tremolo as there is a key change
